A classic that still deserves accolades

Everything at the St Paul is to the highest standard. The bedding, the amenities and the food are all highly excellent. None of the is second to the staff. From the moment we were greeted at the door, we were treated with the utmost care. Clearly, the staff is held to high standards. What is also clear is that not only are they well trained but they are treated well themselves and it is reflected in their treatment of the clients.

Overall, the room seemed clean, but the duvet on the bed had huge stains on it. We immediately threw it on the floor in the corner of the room. We always bring our own top sheet and pillow cases, otherwise we would not have been able to stay in that room.

The location is superb, right next to Rice Park and among many walkable restaurants. The staff was superb, and everything was clean and well kept. Breakfast at The Drake was pricey but good. We would definitely stay again.

The check-in time was difficult. I rarely see a check-in as late as 4pm. Thankfully the staff was able to help us check-in at 3 pm so we could get to a 4 pm wedding.

I have stayed at The Saint Paul Hotel many times, and for good reason. Always a clean, quiet room, always courteous staff, always excellent food. I will be here anytime I visit the Twin Cities.
