The hotel offered to move us to another room, but it had the same type of bed frame. It didn’t make sense to pack up all of our belongings and move my child to another room only to potentially have the exact same problem. The area was extremely noisy at night, with loud music outside that sounded like it was coming from inside our room. There were homeless hanging around the hotel. Definitely unsafe. The hotel was understaffed, ran out of extra blankets, didn’t answer the phone, and our key cards stopped working. If you needed anything, you had to go downstairs and get it yourself. The “free breakfast” was basically pastries and apples. I started looking for another hotel on the first day but wasn’t able to find one right away. By the third day, I found a room at The Mosser and immediately moved. The difference was night and day—better location, friendlier staff, better service, and an overall much more comfortable experience. Overall, this hotel was not worth the money, especially with rates approaching $400 per night. I would not stay here again. I was refunded for the last 2 nights I had booked but not compensated anything for the 3 nights endured.

I like the coffee machine in the lobby.
-
The shower doors opened very awkwardly, I couldn’t even get in to use it. I’m a big guy so it’s my fault but it left such little space to get in. The beds were covered in small hairs and long hairs as well. Very creaky and stiff beds.

Very friendly staff, and very good location to attend the nearby Symphony and Opera. Room was small but clean and comfortable. Brenda's French Soul Food restaurant is about 100 paces away and ind very good. There is also a convenience store just around the corner. Cosmetically, it is a little rough around the edges (but only just a little) and could use a bit of freshening. Sound isolation between rooms is "all right" but at times I could lightly hear voices, even if I could not make out what was being said.

The room is clean and the property is in a convenient location, but the walls are very thin. If you don’t try to find something to drown out the sound of other rooms you will be subjected to hearing them. Additionally there is no parking on site, and valet is the option for a garage that is about 10 minutes away.

Room and bathroom very clean, no problem around that. The lobby wasn't bad, but the coffee machine was out of order the first 3 days of our stay, also breakfast included was very poor, just apples and oranges, yougurts, and small sweet bread, but it wasn't very tasty.

In a bad area - could hear the street quite loudly for most of the night. Took 10 minutes for anyone to show up to the front desk. Hotel room itself was nice and clean. Hotel however had a weird smell outside the room and a few odd stains. A sign in the room said check out was at noon, but got a call at 11:10 saying I should’ve been out by 11 and that noon is not the check out time. Worked for last minute need, probably wouldn’t book again

Shower was nice especially personally shower water felt great! The bed was comfortable very wobbly like you can push the bed but sitting down on it. In one of the suite room on the fourth floor/Level, There was mole in the restroom on the ceiling. The window had no screen and one of the windows were broken, once open, it can fall on someone. Control for the ac/heater the heat does not work. Made the room really cold even when it’s off. The tv for ours stay to be upgraded cause it was very slow, the screen kept slowing down and freezing up the remote did not work…

I had a great time and would recommend it to everyone I know. There was nothing I did not like.

Appears new renovated, very clean, nice smelling, staff was great, room was great. The only problem was you can hear every street noise, it’s like you are I. The middle of the street. Otherwise, really a great hotel.

I was disappointed by the hotel, considering the reviews were good. I think they're fake, or at least unreliable. The place is in bad shape, even though they tried to cover it with flashy decorations. For instance, the shelf in the shower was broken but left in place. The hotel is located somewhere between the rich area of Pacific Heights and the very poor and sometimes scary downtown area. The window in my room opened on a busy street and even with the windows shut, it remained noisy. Staff service was just ok. I was happy I only had to stay there one night.

Clean room but very small; breakfast is just pastries, tea, and coffee.
