    I liked everything!

I liked the family atmosphere--meeting from people from all over the world, and the bonding that happened there with them. The manager and staff were extraordinary, and were responsible for creating this. Hot water for showers more regular so that I could take one anytime.

The workers were incredibly kind and helpful, the bed was so comfy and I loved the private space, a lot of space to be in. The kitchen was nice as well and the rooftop is incredible However, the only thing are the bathroom that are quite old and not always clean, and I had a cold shower unfortunately

Nice vibe, nice facilities though they could do with a bit of renovation. E.g., some of the bathrooms were out order. The impression I had is that the hostel is entirely managed by volunteers, who seemed a bit all over the place (like they did not even show me around when I arrived). But maybe it was just a bad day :) thus 8 for encouragement!

The atmosphere in this hostel is great, people are so nice and Sergio and the volunteers organize activities everyday. The hostel is really nice and colorful, i loved it. The rooftop is special, it's the right place to have your breakfast with a special view, or simply relaxing or taking a coffee.

Nice terrace and friendly people We stayed for three nights and noticed a lack of organization and care in the hostel. There is no sign outside, making it hard to recognize. Before arriving, we received no response on Booking, and when we arrived at 11:45 PM, the doors were locked, and there was no one at reception to let us in. While the atmosphere is somewhat social, and the rooftop is nice, our private room was disappointing. The walls were covered in mold, and there was a strong musty smell. The mattress was extremely old, sagging, and uncomfortable, with springs sticking out from the sides. We even got scratched while sitting on it and had to cover the exposed springs with black tape to prevent further injuries. The room was located right above the kitchen, making it noisy at all hours. The bathrooms upstairs were in poor condition: two were out of order, one had a broken door that wouldn’t close, and another had no working light. Many guests were sick, yet there was no soap in the bathrooms, which is unacceptable, as it allowed germs to spread easily. The bathrooms were only cleaned in the morning, and multiple times, we found them without toilet paper and in an unsanitary state. The hostel volunteers didn’t seem to care about maintaining them. Additionally, the tours sold at the hostel were more expensive than those offered in town. Cleanliness should be a priority, and for the price, this stay was not worth it.

I had a lovely stay here. The people running this place are great people and I felt very welcomed. The pod beds are very comfortable and for that price it was a very good deal. The volunteers were very nice, too. :)

    Superb

Nice cozy place with very friendly inhabitants, close to the centre in a quiet neighborhood! The showers and toilets where a bit limited on the upper floor

A really nice hostel and one which actually lives up to the cliche of a home from home. The dorms have individual cubicles in with a light, electric socket, shelf and curtain so there is a fair degree of privacy. The staff, volunteers and other guests were really cool and people actually do talk to each other. There are events organised most days, I particularly enjoyed the quiz night which was a great ice-breaker. The price is astoundingly good value for the comfortable and relatively private dorm bed, and to have a breakfast (basic, but at this price it would be churlish to complain) included too is a nice extra. Nothing was really bad. One of the bathrooms seemed to have a blocked sink for a few days but this wasn't a big deal.

Staff is very friendly and helpful. Every bunk bed has a light, wall socket, shelf and curtain for privacy. Clean bedsheets and pillow case. There is kitchen with all needed to prepare a meal. Free water to drink provided. None of the faucets in 3 bathrooms worked. Sanitarios seem neglected

Great atmosphere, chill staff, cheap and comfy Nada

Friendly environment, well equipped kitchen, good location. At night it is super cold in SC, so I asked for additional blankets and they gave them to me. ?? /

    Exceptional

Great and very helpful staff, gave lot of tips what to do in town where to eat or buy what, what to see etc. Thanks to all, special thanks to Max and Sergio. Hard to say, the district had problems with the water supply (not the fault of the hostel at all), Sergio fixed a connection to his house to get water from his tank.

Nice Terrace , short walk to the Centre and other Viewpoints. Really nice and friendly staff. Single room with a lot of space , beds are ok. Showers and toilets needs a little fresh up. Cleaning was just every second day for the reason the shower was not really clean.

  • Engine customer Jan 2025

The staff was nice and helpful and they tried to do some activities in the evenings. It was nice that there was a kitchen, but the fridge was barely working (not that it mattered much as it was rather cold in San Cristóbal when we were there). Breakfast was included and it was ok. We had a big room for ourselves in a good price (appreciated), but it was super cold as the windows were leaky so basically the temperature in the room was similar to this outside. The whole hostel is quite dark and dingy (eg. no window in the main common area). It was clean, but rather old, which added to the feeling.
