    Good hotel for individuals looking to be close to the San Antonio night life and river walk. Not the best hotel for families with little ones looking to get an early night sleep. Parking not available on hotel ground, only Valet parking available or paid parking lots. Staff personnel were top notch.

    Front desk was notified (9 pm when we got to room)that our TV wasn't working or either we were doing something wrong. Front desk acted inconvenienced(attitude is important) and said maintenance would check it the next morning (when we left). They did offer free breakfast which we turned down. Front desk also said we could come watch TV in the lobby. Management apologized the next morning and gave us points. Otherwise, I would have rate 1 or 2. If these 2 things (TV not working, bad employee at Front desk) had not happened, I would have rated 4+, despite parking.

    The only reason I didn’t give a 5 star was because the elevators were out limited to only one working the majority of the time. Also, we had to request clean towels multiple times and when asked. They said they ran out. My card was also charged twice at check in and again for using valet for 5 days when in fact we only used them once. I reccomend you be sure to ask for a receipt to be sure you don’t get charged for things you didn’t use. Other than that… it was great.

    We did have to ask for bath towels and a luggage rack. Our room was not serviced on our only day there and we had to ask for wash clothes, water and more coffee. The desk staff were great and the requests were filled quickly, but these were things we shouldn’t have had to adk for.

    Not a very good experience. The conveyance of being downtown was great but the hotel was below expectation. Lack of cleanliness, missing accessories (iron, coffee maker, towels etc..). Expressed my frustration to an employee and was very dismissive.

    The hotel did not provide water for the in-room coffee maker. Which as it turns out was broken anyway. We were informed at check in that the room would only be serviced every other day, which was fine, but it was never serviced. The shower soap dispenser was empty (good thing I brought bar soap). We asked for wash cloths and they never arrived; we were told 'they were doing laundry'. The hotel was close to Riverwalk, which was convenient, just be aware there is a heavy homeless population in this area. It is unsettling if you are not used to it, and we were not. The Valet service was pretty good, considering I think they are understaffed. The Valet people were personable, the server in the dining room was good. Order off the menu and not the buffet. The buffet is OK if in a hurry and you eat a lot, but for $20.00 it was a better option for us to order off the menu. I don't think we would stay there again.

    We were in room 411, and the view of San Antonio from the window was filled with air conditioning units and other mechanical devices that made noise most of the night. I think the compressor on one of the units outside our window had an issue. Worst stay Ihave had in years, and I paid a hefty price for a poor facility.

    Staff were very friendly but it was very noisy throughout the entire night. Only 1 elevator worked so there was always a wait. The toilet paper holder fell right off the wall and you could tell they tried to fix it prior with two nails. Like, just fix it for real? Also, a lot of homeless on Houston. Fine during the day but I didn’t feel safe going anywhere alone at night. It was a good price, but you get what you pay for I guess.

    Room was clean and comfortable. Room 1002 had the loudest AC unit, sounded like an airplane getting ready to take off. Also, a horrible knocking noise that went on ALL NIGHT. I couldnt sleep. I have no idea what it was, but it was very unpleasant. Hope someone can read this and find out what that noise is and fix it for future people staying in that room.

    The staff were very nice and personable. I’d give it a 4 star if it weren’t for the fact that the bathroom (shower) needs serious updating. The shower was grungy with what looked like moldy stains. No hand soap at sink. Carpets in the hallways need cleaning. Staff and location made up for this hotel being a 3star rather than 1star.

    When I returned to retrieve my belongings, I was shocked to discover that while my pants were indeed there, my belt was missing. I clearly explained to Jorge that the belt had been attached to my pants when I left them in the room. Yet, he could offer no explanation as to why the belt was not returned with them. This is extremely upsetting and unacceptable. It leaves me with the impression that there are untrustworthy individuals working within the Hilton staff. As a paying guest, I expect honesty and accountability, not to lose a valuable item due to negligence—or worse. I hope Hilton takes this matter seriously and investigates it thoroughly. At the very least, I hope that corrective action will be taken to prevent this from happening to other guests.

    Called around 145pm to confirm the paid reservation and was instructed room would be ready by 3pm. Arrived to town and went to have dinner then at around 345pm i picked my room through the hilton app for the 10th floor and checked in to arrive at 4pm. Arrived at the hotel around 415 to collect plastic card keys only to have the attendant in the lobby tell me that my room was still.not ready. Had to wait another 15 minutes and they down graded my room to the 4th floor. Then the following day we had a housekeeper open the foor to our room around 10am without knocking and we had our do not disturb and we have a pet inside cards outside the door. I approached the lobby attendant to advice him of what had happened and he didn't seem concerned or apologized for the inconvenience. Never again will i stay in this specific hotel. Hopefully other hilton hotels aren't the same.

    Perfect location for a weekend getaway to the Riverwalk. Staff was polite and very kind. Valet was pricey, but considering we never used it since we checked in, it was worth having a piece of mind. Walkable for all Riverwalk and touristy spots. Plenty of food options. Room was perfect!

    The property itself and the room were great however, we utilized the valet parking and when our car was returned to us the next day the inside of the car was trashed and everything from the center console and glove box were pulled out with several things stolen. When reported to the valet manager the only “fix” offered was not being charged for the valet parking

    Hotel location and quality was very good. Breakfast service and quality was very good. Main issue was the valet service at an overpriced $47 per night. On two occasions during our stay, the staff did not check our car in and we could not request the car in their app. We had to go down to the valet area to personally request the car and upon checkout we had to wait over 40 minutes.

    ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Secondly, I was assigned Room 904 which overlooks a Brand Whiskey Bar. It was extremely noisy and unbearable to be able to sleep. The night desk clerk lady, I believe, "Connie" *sorry I can't remember* 🙂 (08/02/25) was very sympathetic to my situation and accommodating, swiftly moving me to the other side of the building into Room 917.     Once you get to this hotel, they charge you a service fee which we did not mind but what we did mine was they charge you ahead of time for valet which is over $40 a night. And they will not refund you till after you leave the place. There is no parking for free anywhere around the hotel. You have to pay to park. The valet man recommended for us to park in a parking garage a little ways up the street. However, we were two girls by ourselves, and it was very sketchy walking the streets of San Antonio that late at night.

    It has great location, nearby to the Riverwalk and the Alamo. Valet parking people where great! We arrive at night and tired and they totally nail it helping. Lobby and restaurant are pretty clean and modern, check-in was pretty easy, but the coffee machine was broken at the lobby. I had 2 rooms, and we have problems in both. One has torn carpet at the entrance and OMG the shower was totally dirty, there was hair everywhere! trash and dirt keep coming out of the bathtub drain circle when you turn on the shower. On the other room, the plugs didn´t work and the shower situation was mainly the same. In the morning the waiter was pretty rude, his responses where really rough and he gave us the bill when we where just sitting in a buffet style breakfast?

    Hotel is in a very convenient spot. Airport is no more than 15 minutes away. Riverwalk is only a few minute walk along with a small shopping center, bars, and other activities. The rooftop pool is nice but very small, they also have a bartender up there for a few hours which is nice. Did not get a chance to try the hotel bar/restaurant so nothing to say there. I will say the rooms are small. The bathroom is basically have the room. When I looked at the initial picture on Expedia the room looked very spacious so I was confused when we opened the door. I then called down to the desk and she said they were a standard room hotel. I went back on Expedia just to see that the other pictures on here were the actual room. So don’t be like me and assume the king bed is the bigger room showed. Other than that there is not much else to say besides when I had to call 3 times over the span of 6 hours just for washcloths.

    It’s a little weird that the property doesn’t automatically do room service every day, considering the cost and area. Also, while the parking fee is exorbitant, you’re pretty much going to have to pay that anywhere unless you want to park your own car in a questionable garage because all the hotels are using the same valet company. The hotel itself was fine and being just off the river will save you at least $100 per night. Breakfast wasn’t included, but why should they offer it if no one else in the area does either? I don’t know if we’ll come back to the same hotel when we visit again. They did nothing to stand out.

    Prime location. Room was small and we had some issues with the toilet but maintenance came and fixed the issue. The room did smell a bit musty and ac didn’t blow very well but we made it work. The staff members were really nice & valets did a really good job. Overall the lobby was clean, pool area was nice, and the stay was fine.

    The stay was great except we asked for more bath towels/hand towels and never received them. Then when we went to check out they said we had $118 charge for the restaurant/alcohol. We never went to the restaurant. I had to wait there over 30 minutes for the front desk clerk to go back and forth to the restaurant.

    It was a pretty nice hotel for the price. It needs some remodeling. The bathroom needs to be updated. We were able to check in prior to the 3pm check in time.

    Lobby is on second floor, not street level. Waited 12 to 15 min for an elevator just to check in. Homeless everywhere when you step out of hotel.

    Our experience with the valet was a solid 1/10. The link they send you to ask for your car stopped working after night one, that was later found out to happen because they had connected my car to someone else by spelling my last name wrong. As well as they did not fix it for the next two nights. Requesting your car was about a 20 minute wait and we would have to call down to get the car requested, just for them to not even go get the car until we were standing outside wondering what the long wait was and they then proceeded to get my keys and go get the car. When the car did finally arrive it smelled of cigarettes when I am definitely not a smoker. When asking the valet for help with requesting the car the man insisted I was doing it Wrong and not paying attention to the correct link, so he wanted to show me on my phone and when I was still correct he said he couldn’t changed that and oh well. Now the room - we had a standard king room, bed was comfy and house keeping was clean. The blinds were broken and we needed to call someone to come fix them so we could open the shades. They did come quick and fix it but it didn’t hold and was broken again by next morning but it wasn’t worth the fight.

    Hotel should make customers aware of the valet only parking and fee before they book. Valet service was awful. A bunch of clueless kids operating the valet service. Lost our keys the first night. Told us everything was digital when we asked for a ticket, but never asked for our cell number to send text. Valet drivers were caught vaping in our car, and constantly moved seats or laid them back like it was their own personal car. I’ve stayed at plenty of other Hilton Garden Inn’s that were cheaper and much nicer and friendlier. Convenience of being right on the Riverwalk was not worth the price or experience. Will not be staying at this Hilton Garden Inn again.

    The pool was the other issue-it is filthy. The water is murky-it clearly is not being serviced the way it should be. It's also extremely small. Finally, the parking is valet only- at $42 a day. You have to send a text to request your car, and we waiting up to 20 minutes for our car. Go to the Hyatt Regency Riverwalk instead-much nicer and cleaner with friendly staff.

    We enjoyed a great stay here in San antonio. The valet service was excellent, the front desk service was prompt and friendly. We'll stay at Hilton Garden Inn next time we come as well

    Great staff the young woman in valet was amazing. Rooms were nice and ac worked great. Only minor thing was we were by the elevator but it wasn’t as loud as other hotels but we just put the tv on and we couldn’t hear it anymore

    In general, a good experience. I would improve the look of the valet area. It is dated and does not match the contemporary look of the hotel. The mustard color and general appeal give a not so safe or nice first impression on arrival. Great service and food. Thank you.

    All was good but at 6am the alarms went off in the building with an announcement in intercoms says to leave immediately due to an emergency. We were down five flights of stairs before seeing other guests come back and tell us false alarm. It was because someone took a hot shower. No hotel staff told us in intercom it was a false alarm or apologized for the scare.
