Good place to stay for a close travel to sites

Everything was great. Walking distance to the Riverwalk and Market Square. The only thing is that the room was a little small for us.

The hotel was in fairly good condition and the top floor was being renovated during my stay. It’s possible that there will be renovations to the lower floors as they could use a bit of an upgrade. It would have been nice if the TV was a smart tv so that I could log in to my streaming accounts. The staff were friendly, courteous, and helpful. The breakfast was decent although it could have been better in terms of more options. Overall, the hotel was great for what I needed to accomplish. It was close to my priority destination and easy to navigate to local sites.

The only thing is you are charged for parking and I don’t think this is normal I payed to stay but yet had to pay to park this needs to be included when they advertise the amount of the stay and include the words to park is an extra fee

The bathroom sink had a horrible leak and water went all over the floor then the next day after fixing that the hand held shower head broke while I was giving my handicap husband a shower. Just expected better room condition.

Beds were very comfortable and the air conditioner worked extremely well. Grocery store across the street. Would recommend this property to everyone looking for a great deal. Located within walking distance of restaurants, River walk and so much more!

I did not use al of the amenities at all, spent one night at the hotel. The bed was ok, room was fairly quiet for being down town. Breakfast was ok, they did not have a microwave or fresh fruit, coffee was unexpectedly really good. Most of the time hotel coffee is tolerable. Price was great, you have a good day. Thanks

Hotel is in need of updates. Neighborhood is not the best, traffic noise is bad as location is on a very busy intersection. Website not accurate in terms of location proximity to Riverwalk and Alamo. Breakfast was good, staff was very nice.

It was walking distance to the Market Square and Riverwalk. Also, there is an HEB across the street which was perfect. The breakfast had a great selection of food. The rooms and hotel were nice and clean. I would definitely stay here again. They also had an indoor pool which is not common in most hotels. But we didn't have time to go swimming on this stay.

The only complaint, which we did not tell the receptionist, was that the handicap bathroom had a strong smell of urine emanating from the floor drain in the room, not the shower drain. We went out and bought some Pine Sol and Lysol spray which helped a bit, but we also covered the drain with a towel which really helped to alleviate the smell. Other than that odor, the room was clean, and the smell did not leak into the rest of the room.

We stay here 3 nights. The front desk staff was great and very helpful, the breakfast was really good everything organized and different items to choose from, the grandchildren ages 5-12 enjoyed the indoor pool, we will definitely stay here again!

At first we were disappointed because it seemed like a little far from the action downtown but the walk wasn’t bad. Parking area was small and 1 limit car per room might have an impact on families meeting up. Staff was super friendly, breakfast was good and rooms were big and AC was very good. Would come back.

The bath tub was clogged. Informed staff at around 7:00 PM. Was told that would send technician to fix. Informed that I would be out for dinner. Staff confirmed no problem. Come back at 10 PM, problem was still there. Called hotel and was told the technician has left, there was no other room available for change. Asked to come and see manager next morning. Next day when checking out, I was told manager not working until Monday. I had to pay for almost $300 for a night that could not taking a shower!

The rooms were clean, the bed were comfortable. My granddaughter and I enjoyed the indoor pool very much. It was clean and the water temperature was perfect. We did bring our room towels the second night as the pool towels were small and threadbare. Breakfast each morning was varied, but there were hot and cold options both days.

Was there four days for an Air Force graduation great area walking distance of the river plenty of restaurants and the room was outstanding would definitely go back. You can always count on the Hampton property.

The hotel was very clean, safe, convenient, and walkable distance to shopping. Parking can be a hassle at nighttime since it does get a little crowded. However, management did a great job with accommodating me with my stay and assisting me with parking. Overall, awesome stay and I will be returning for additional vacation days.

I cannot complaint about the service, room, and breakfast. It was all good. However, I personally do not like surprises fees such as the parking lot fee, which was not announce in the page while I was booking. In fact, that was one of the reason I choose the hotel.

The room was spotless and comfy. The bathroom and shower were the highlight of the stay. The products used in the shower smelled wonderful, and the lotion had a pleasant scent as well.

Very clea rooms, staff was very intinitive and very close to the Market Square. In saying this, I didn't give it a 5 star due to the hotel is very old, shows it in every room, rooms are very dark, lighting is terrible! Windows are fility, I couldn't even get sunlight in my room. I'm sure it will get better soon

Staff was very polite and accommodating. Easy access to the workout gym and breakfast was good. However, carpets need to be cleaned better and many of the electrical outlets in the room were not working.

I'm thrilled I chose this hotel for my weekend getaway. It's spotlessly clean, from our room to the gym, the pool, and everything else. All the staff are incredibly attentive, and the breakfast is excellent, making this place truly fantastic. I'm happy to give it a perfect 5 out of 5 rating and know for sure it will be my first choice for future visits. 💪

Room was okay at best because there were a few flaws. My wife and my first impression when we walked in was a "wet carpet / mildew" smell that came and gone during our 5 nights stay. We didn't care because it didn't make us sick. Second, it was strange that the bathroom didn't have a vent when u turn on the light and the room didn't have a safe to store valuables. Next, the walls are thin because I could hear the TV in the next room well. Judging from the exterior on the bottom of the building, it looked like they may have converted an old apartment building into a hotel because the brick color matched the building next to it. If so, that made sense. There was also this loud clicking noise when the guest next to us uses the water which woke me up a couple times in the middle of the night. Lastly, its location is horrific. Our room was facing a very busy road, which I was unaware of because we're tourists. The other side wasn't better either because those rooms faced a mechanics shop so you'll be hearing their torque wrench constantly while they fixed cars. I've been to many Hampton Inn's in the past and have an expectation. Unfortunately, this time didn't meet that. I know Hampton Inn isn't your 5 star hotel but there were too many flaws in our stay.

The only downside is that parking has an extra fee, which I think should be included in the rate. The location is a bit farther from some downtown attractions, but still within walking distance. The immediate surroundings aren’t the best, but I always felt safe. The complimentary continental breakfast was good, though fairly standard. Overall, I definitely recommend this hotel for a comfortable and friendly stay in San Antonio.

I’ve stayed at many hotels and have never been treated this way. I would strongly caution others to document everything during their stay and be careful before booking here. Honesty and good customer service should come first, and unfortunately, that was not the case in my experience.

Wonderful hotel and breakfast but be aware it is not a 7 minute walk to Riverwalk or market square,more like 20 plus! This definitely needs fixed as it is not true. Be prepared to park elsewhere as the parking lot is tiny!

I spoke to the staff & Orbitz several times. I paid for the stay through Orbitz; however, the local hotel charged my credit card for the stay. I was assured I was not charges. When I got home, I had the two charges. As of today, this has NOT been resolved.

We loved the staff. In particular, Jesus and Cynthia were outstanding. Jesus is professional and proactively engages with the guests. Cynthia is hands down one of the best breakfast chefs you can find! She is vivacious and seemed to remember all of us. We will be back!

Absolutely loved our stay here. It’s close to everything downtown, looks new and is super comfortable. Mia the best thing is that this hotel has a parking lot out front (which is hard to find in downtown San Antonio) and the parking isn’t crazy expensive . The breakfast is solid and the staff is very friendly and helpful. Will be saving this hotel so I can’t stay there next time I’m in San Antonio.

Loved everything about the hotel except the parking. But we did check in in the middle of the night because of delays in traveling. So we had to park in the lot next door. It seemed safe just awkward to get in and out. The staff was very nice and helpful. We will definitely be back.

This property is located in a great area and less than two miles from entertainment and dining. My grandson (6) had a ball. Downside was that we could hear kids and pets running and stomping above us all night for 2 nights. I called the front desk and they corrected the issue, but it continued.

1.- Parking fee, there is a $12 daily parking fee that we were not aware nor metioned at the time of reservation 2.- The pool area is too small and does not have ventilation therefore the room gets too hot and its not comfortable just to be sitting there. 3.- The hotel does not have a patio area where guests can come and relax after a day walking at the theme parks, there is a bench at the entrance where people gather and sitaround.

The room was nice. The staff over the breakfast was amazing. The manager was unprofessional & rude parking should not cost extra. That should be included in the rate of the room. And if a guest has more than one vehicle they should comp parking off site since there is only one spot for each room. Very inconvenient and expensive.

I’m don’t like they charge for parking… $12.50 a day

Very clean and comfortable room

this hotel is very good

Although the downtown area doesn’t seem appealing, there’s a lot to do. I liked how close we were to many attractions and restaurants. The hotel room was clean, breakfast was good, dining area nice, and friendly staff. The only negative I could share is that the front desk was often unattended.

Had to call front desk several times due to people on the top of my room running and junping since we checked it

We like our stay, the bed was comfortable which is most important. We had a 32 inch TV which is pretty small, compared to motels we previously stayed in. The housekeepers were loud chatting in the morning. Our door has this gap where you could see the carpet from outside hallway and hear what's going on. I thought i would only have to pay $18 when I arrived because thats what the receipt told me after booking, but they charged for parking ($12 daily) and "incidental" so i had to pay another $120 something. The hotel is 10 mins to the river walk which is not bad. It's where we go for dinner.

Staff is very nice. Property not very well taken care of. Room and specially beds did not seem very clean. Parking is a nightmare.

Nice place, a little hard to get into at first. Barhroom could have been cleaner, dirty looking treads in tub and soap and water stains on the chrome. Breakfast was so so.

Was not informed of parking charge, and credit card was billed. Upon contacting the hotel they said they would speak to a manager to have this reversed and that I would be contacted. No reversal or contact from anyone. Truly disappointed.

Everything was perfect. Just the refrigerator wasn’t cooling.

First time in San Antonio, and lucked into a pretty nice location, with a grocery store across the street for snacks!

Pet discrimination. The bathroom smells really bad like poop. Carpet is dirty.

Love the location but I was not aware there was a charge for parking. That was not in the reservation description. Also the breakfast was not very good. Meats didn’t look thoroughly cooked and not Many gluten free options.

The hotel was clean and the breakfast served was good. It was unclear if parking was free or no on the website but otherwise was fine. We enjoyed being able to walk to the river walk from the hotel.

Unpleasant smell in the hotel and in the room, running condensation under the air conditioner (I applied twice in 3 days to have it fixed. I don't know if it was fixed in the end or if it will continue to leak into the room. I saw a bunch of ants near the coffee. The room is quite dirty, and the dust layer on the desk lamp indicates that it has never been wiped. I saw a cleaner mopping the floors in one of the rooms with a towel, exactly the same as those provided to guests. At the same time, when I asked for extra sheets to make up the sofa bed, I was asked why I needed them, and they said that housekeeping was not allowed to give extra bedding.… All in all, it's a shame. It was unpleasant to be there. And when I checked out, they also charged me $36 for parking in front of the hotel, which I didn't know about. The administrator said that it is indicated on the website. I'm definitely not going back to this hotel. I do not recommend anyone to stay here. Last time I stayed at the hotel across the street, the price is the same, but cleaner and more pleasant, parking is included in the price.

Our room was huge!

Rooms are very clean, quiet and comfortable. Nice breakfast but could add another waffle maker. Parking lot it doesn’t have enough spaces but you can park in the building next to it and does have roof.

Great location. The room was very comfortable. The only concern we had was the food during breakfast. It was cold both mornings we went. Seemed like it was rushed to served but not heated . It was terrible. Pool was nice but one of the days it was very humid and towels were not stocked.
