Economy Hotel San Antonio

Absolutely the worst experience I ever had. I didn't even sleep because they put me in a room with someone already In it. Told him he had to leave didn't clean it didn't change linens toilet seat was broke. It had an awful smell to it. I would like to be compensated for this horrible experience. I usually would t say something like that but I've never had an experience like that either. Absolutely atrocious.

Room had bed bugs. Nasty.

So this hotel is under New Management and everything isn't finished but there were bugs in my bed and I got bitten all over my body. The staff was friendly but I wasn't feeling safe there as well. I wasn't able to sleep the two days that I was there because of the infestation of the insects that were in the bed

The hotel had a bad smell like smoke, the bathtub was very filthy and yellow, and the carpets were very dirty.

Juice so we were able to get in the room. The rep at the desk gave me another room that had one bed only. It was also littld.

There was a casing for a hypodermic needle on the floor of the room that i stepped on barefoot. Thank god it wasnt the syringe. Toilet was broken. Cigarette burn holes on bedding. Mini fridge covered in rust. Many other details left out. Needs alot of work. Woman at the counter was pleasant.

Everything was dirty

We needed a cheap get away with a pool. And this place was spot on. Room was clean bed was comfortable (and the pillows too!) It was pretty quiet even with being next to the train tracks and highway. The manager was very kind and helpful. Definitely a go to for us for now on

Never fu cking staying there. Doors qould not lock and had somw one trying to come into my room. Staff was not friendly.

Worst place ive ever stayed!

I booked two nights. I stayed less than five minutes. Non refundable. What was wrong? It was like a portal to the sewer in LA. Terrifying. For hookers and drug dealers and roaches and lice. I couldn't leave fast enough. Id love to leave photos but it won't let me . Imagine a hamburger with everything on it got run over on the highway-n joy ur stay

It was vwey unsanitary and in a vwey dangerous area felt very unsafe i left immediately after checking in

I would give it a no-star but one star is as bad as you can go the rooms were nasty the people around or nasty smell like weed everywhere had drunk people walking around had arguments and fight people around we asked me moved to a closer room closer to the front door could not move us moved us to an upstairs room that was even worse than the downstairs room the bed if we didn't have to stay we wouldn't have stayed chairs are broken tables broken air conditioner barely works so if I was you find somewhere else

Second room was dirty walls , light switches and bedding looked dirty and old. Smoke alarm kept beeping because battery was bad. Had to go to office and request replacement. Over all not good place .

The staff took forever to give us a room. They charge us for deposit. Twice since we chose another night to stay purchased before 11 am checkout. Then charged 10 dollar over 11 and called cops on another family who also stayed over 11

I had asked for a first floor room for medical reasons, i was given a 2nd floor room, went there first thing i noticed was a cigarrette butt on the table, there was a couple of burn marks on this non smoking room the bathroom floor was sticky and as i walked aroungd the room my feet turned bron from all the dirt on this room never again

Was dirty Toilet didn't work couch Head stains all over it wasn't Impressed at all.

I went to check in and the property employee told me that there was no hot water and that I could cancel by telling hotels.com that there was no water you wanted to cancel it's been 2 weeks and there is no number to reach them I haven't got my money back

It’s was horrible! There was dead roaches everywhere, it looked abandoned and vacant. It was so dirty, and the floors in the hallways really needed vacuuming it badly.! The trash outside was overflowing also I was told at last minute when I got there around 10 and was very tired that there was no hot water. I will never ever stay here again

Could not access location due to construction. No one answered the phone to given alternative directions.

The door wouldn't lock. Inside lock was broken also. And the ad reads breakfast is included. Which it wasn't.

The property is very old and run down. fridge was not leaking water on the floor in the room. toilet was very run down. The carpet in the corridor is very old nasty. The entire property is very run down.

It was horrible waited with our kid till almost midnight in the parking lot after I had all ready paid for my reservation the guy in front kept refusing to check me in state that he had not received payment and had no proof of reservation which was a lie hotel .com tried calling the guy even and he hung up on them over and over and over worst place ever there are hundreds of bugs and roaches

The room had bugs crawling on the bed, stained sheets and towels. The fridge or a/c did not work and staff was rude plus no refunds to room due to booking with Expedia. The smoke alarm was taped over so definitely did not work, exit sign hanging by wires.

My family and I were going up the stairs to the room and the first thing I smelled in the area was someone smoking MJ. Some of the towels looked dirty. Very very outdated.

Non-working microwave. Moldy a/c. Mold in bathroom. Looked like it was half way cleaned, or half-assed I should say. Pretty warm in the hallway, as if no a/c or temperature control. When turning on the shower, where it would be set to warm, the shower lost pressure. You barely touch the temp control inn the shower away from warm it's epithet blistering hot or freezing cold. Mini-fridge was ice over and missing parts and didn't have a freezer section. Just terrible.

Place was understaffed, undermaintained. Service was slow and not accessible. The TVs and phones don't work. Smoke Detector was beeping. Roaches scurrying on the floors. There was a hole in the wall in the room. Unamazing surroundings. I booked 4 nights there, but only stayed one. Staff cooperated and issued a refund.

Staff were really nice. The first day didn’t have any problems as the days went by roaches started coming out more, other than that everything was good.

Super dirty. There was a live bug in the toilet and somebody else trash in the waste basket. There was a stain of blood on the bed sheet. The area is really bad and there are local people who wander on and off the property. This one should not be on Expedia.

My experience staying there was without it's faults, for instance the bathroom light didn't work and the shower took a little getting used to but it was such a delightful experience.

Too noisy because of close railway. During booking online there was free breakfast. When I came there was breakfast at all. Broken shower door, hairs in shower room.

No breakfast as advertised, full of roaches, most furniture broken, rude service, asked to put down a cash deposit and that wasn't made clear at time of reservation, nor was it made clear why a deposit was required! Most, if not all places require a credit card on file for deposit. Never money up front

The room was full of roaches. I opened the refrigerator and 3 came running out. I saw 6 more in the bathroom. Its a cheap hotel so you get what you pay for.

Roaches were trying to leave. They were everywhere even in the fridge. Don’t stay here unless you have a lot of bug spray.

Phone didn’t work, roaches under the phone when we moved it. And in the bathroom. Ac had an ugly smell when we turned it on. Took almost an hr to get the smell out.

The window was cracked in the sliding glass door, stains on sheets pillowcases holes in blankets not sure the last time any of the bedding had seen the inside of a washing machine. Bathroom floor had a pile of dirt in the corner. Dust everywhere. Very spacious and really could be a nice place if it was cleaned and updated. No access to inside the check in. Transactions check in check out was done through a small hole with a card board cover.

Water not hot enough to suit me. TV didn't work. They offered to switch my room, but why not just fix the problem.

The room itself was serviceable but the fact that they have controlled access to the buildings is annoying. I asked to move down to the first floor and to a section of the motel that did not have the extra doors since i was expecting several guests to come through and i was stuck in the same building. They also charged me an extra $11 to change the room. NOT going back

Property poorly maintained, inside and out. Had to wait fifteen minutes for check-in while staff was “using bathroom.” Lights out, no sign indicating return. Dresser in room was missing two of four drawers. I could go on, but this gives the picture.

There’s no morning breakfast, online says they have it. There’s roaches. Tv glitches.

Room was run down. Very few power outlets. Linens were highly stained. There was a cockroach in the room. Towels very small and thin.

For the amount I paid I expected better quality the bathroom was semi clean but the shower did not work we had to forcibly make the shower to work. The bathroom do did not close and tables and chairs were not very steady they felt very wobbly. The halls had a very strong smell of smoke it was over whelming. Their lobby was under construction and no visible sign stating it. I would not use this hotel again.

Sketchy area, room had a literal hole in the wall, sheets had holes in them, walls had weird splatters of…something that I don’t want to know, our room was a conjoining room that we couldn’t lock so we had to barricade the door with furniture, everything smelled of tobacco smoke… I could go on but I think you get the picture. If none of this bothers you, it’s a good priced room.

I’ve asked Expedia for a refund

The place was filthy. The bugs in the room were numerous. The entire hotel smelled awful. We were locked out of our room multiple times. The old guy at the desk was extremely rude. The younger guy was nice. There was screaming down the hall. The lock on the door to our room was broken. One of the doors from outside was broken so anyone could have walked in.

Dead roaches in bathroom. Was supposed to be non smoking room but smelt like an ash tray. Sheets were stained. The comforter on the beds looked and felt like window curtains. Phone in room would not dial out.

I got what I paid for.

Staff was great. No problems during stay. Room had holes in the wall, but otherwise was clean. Kind of run down but a decent affordable place to catch some sleep while traveling.

The hotel was filthy and reeked of cigarettes. There was ash on the headboard and all the sheets and towels had stains. Only booked this hotel because it was listed that it had a free breakfast which it did not. Extremely dissatisfied with this place. Would have attempted to book somewhere eles after seeing these conditions however my booking was nonrefundable

Hallways and room smelled of heavy cigars even though our room was smoke free. Carpets were heavily stained we didn't even want to let our socks or bare feet touch the floor. Bedding had smoke holes. Walls had splattered blood (I'm not even kidding). Small bullet hole on the door that connects the room next to us. Lamp shades were even horribly stained. Don't even get me started on how stained the towels were. Hubby & I were traveling with 2 babies so we didn't even unpack. We left and got another hotel. I was so upset I couldn't even get a refund. I had booked the filthy place for 2 days. Please don't go there is horrible. Not to mention the trucks and trucks of people hanging out in parking lot blocking the entrance & listening to loud music.

It was very frustrating the ice machine was out 3/4 times I tried to use it, there was traffic in, and out like drug transactions were being conducted there, and the trash can was dumped, there were bad smells reeking everywhere.

DO NOT STAY HERE! This has been the worse place I have EVER stayed in. It was disgusting. The bedspreads and sheets were stained, the towels were dirty, the light switches were disgusting. There was writing on the mirror with eyeliner or something like that. Come on you can't even clean the mirror for the next guest. There were bugs coming out of the walls and dead roaches everywhere. The smell in the hallway was awful. The staff doesn't speak English, so it was hard to explain to them how disgusting the room was. All they kept saying was "towels" "toilet paper". I don't know how this place still operates. Should have read reviews...that was my bad.

Its all around a horrible place to stay the rooms was dirty and the beds wasnt clean i wouldnt let my mother stay there

The staff was very friendly but you get what you pay for. Our room had dead cockroaches and mosquitos in it. Everything was stained so we avoided sitting anywhere and laid on top of our bedding. There is also a required deposit (no problem, this is normal), except they only accept cash which isn't mentioned anywhere. Luckily we had cash, but this also means you must check out in person to get your deposit back.

Property advertised breakfast but is non existent so lied about that the place is old and run down and needs repair

There was no breakfast they booked me in a room that somebody was in and doing drugs turned out to be an employee Panama me to another room it was dirty the third room had roaches it smelled sheets were dirty and stains all over the walls holes in bathroom door.had to pay extra for a guest to come by

The hotel did not have a continental breakfast like their information on hotels.Com stated, they also did not charge a1.50 fee at the hotel like the website warned. The did have a $20 refundable cash deposit that I was not prepared for.. the room was clean but had a musty smell. There were sheetrock repairs that had not been painted. The bathroom was excellent. It was clean and in good repair. The bed slept slightly softer than the floor would have

The place was dirty, the furniture was falling apart. It was dirty and it smelled. We left within an hour of arriving because it was so bad. The man working the front seemed rude but then he seemed like he was trying to be nice.

Cash deposit on less than spectacular room

Check-in staff was friendly and informative. The non-smoking room had strong smoke odor as well as the entire hallway. The non-smoking rooms are mixed with smoking rooms causing the odor to be everywhere. We will not stay here again or recommend it to others.

Bed was not comfortable and staff walked in on my wife without knocking before checkout

THe basics are just fine. It was a bargain and likely should be rated as 2 star. BUt the staff was courteous. It was just fine.

The room had nice furniture, a comfortable bed, a microwave and mini-frig. It had a small dining table, dresser and desk - so everything you need. The place was very clean. Cleanliness was very important because the place seemed worn and there were minor repairs that needed to be made. Staff was great. My TV wouldn’t work and he came up to help. Turns out it is a “glitchy” tv. Given that it’s a 2-star hotel with low prices I was pleasantly relieved. I spent one night here passing through the area.

Ice box, microwave, good TV. Furniture in good condition. Pool is well kept. Like i said, the property in general is dated. You can see some improvements being made. One thing, im sure detours some traffic from their property. The entrance is difficult to see, and easy to miss.

For one they had false advertisement saying that they serve breakfast and they did not put to the beds were not comfortable at all to the point where I woke up sore the room was not clean him guest services was horrible I wish I had another room that I could’ve went to versus you know what it being Labor Day weekend everyone was packed but I would not recommend this hotel to anyone

The room was taken by someone, so we spent another 30 minutes trying to find another room. There is no breakfast, this website has a false advertisement. Room has stains, Burns in the sheets and funky smell.

It did not have breakfast as advertised and the tv was out dated so I was not able to watch my Firestick. They onky had basic ccable no movie channels at all. Really that was our only dislikings about it. It was a nice little getaway for my husband and myself. Also they had no single double beds down stairs and my husband is disabled and had to climb the stairs but staff tried their best to give us a room closest to the top of the stairs.

I found some roaches in the room . Is expensive they need up grade some rooms
