    DO NOT stay here! I'm shocked that Hilton allows this under the DoubleTree name. It is dirty, smells musty, I had NO hot water and the water was spitting and producing brown color. I have no idea how this property was showing an excellent 8.8 rating. I left to stay elsewhere and will be disputing my charge.

    The fact that the parking was not free. The room had a sock that didn't belong to us from someone else staying before us and a water bug was in the room that my husband killed. No microwave in the room was also a negative. But one positive was the delicious warm cookies you had available at anytime for the guey

    We did call the front desk and they quickly took care of it for us and provided us with free breakfast cards. This hotel does not offer free breakfast which was something we didn’t find out until after booking the room. They also charge $30 a night for parking. Coming back to the room on the first night we could not find parking! It was completely full and we had to park in a striped spot. We woke up early and moved our vehicle but $30 for parking and then not having a spot was frustrating. Also, I had already prepaid for a free breakfast when I booked the room but the front desk failed to give us our breakfast vouchers so when they offered free breakfast as a “apology” for the dirty underwear, I was confused. The staff was nice and accommodating. Staying somewhere for $288 for 2 nights, $60 for both nights and then $80 for food, (if I wouldn’t have found the underwear) seemed a bit pricey! We have had great experiences in the past this just wasn’t one of them.

    Parking was a joke!! Charged me 32.00 to park one night!! Dont remember seeing that when i booked it. Small print at the bottom probably. No free anything resturant cost for breakfast. Ice machine was broken on my floor. Had to use elevator to next floor. I wont stay there again. Air condtioning was not good. Had it on 70 but was still hot. Came on for 30 seconds and went off. Ugh

    Front desk was very hospitable and friendly…. Housekeeping was very bare minimum, we stayed 4 nights and only 1 bed was made first day then second day I had to ask the girl to change sheets and clean bathroom. She took forever to come back to do so but other than that no other complaints

    Air conditioning cut off, they did not have AAA batteries for it at all and offered fans because there were no rooms available. Next day when standing felt something on my leg. There was a cockroach crawling on me instantly hit it off. So now I won’t ever be staying at this hotel again because it has roaches.

    Air conditioners worked well, except in the hallways. Staff were great. Check in and parking was easy. Breakfast buffet left a lot to be desired considering the price, but was okay. My only real complaint was the water. Hot water in the sinks sometimes did not work unless you turned the bathtub on first. In the shower, if you didn't keep it all the way on hot it didn't maintain heat and would sporadically go cold. Pressure was okay-ish. My kids loved the free cookies and they had allergy free ones available.

    Cons: The building is showing wear and needs maintenance throughout, lobby is quite chilly, no free breakfast, our toilet had a flapper issue that caused it to run for about 20 seconds every 5-10 minutes (we requested maintenance but either they did not show up or else did not fix the problem), front desk sent us to a double room first even though we reserved a king, location is near the freeway and surrounded by busy roads so is quite noisy.

    Super Hot Water or Hot water are your options when showering & there is no water pressure. Personal experience, 3 day stay . No one came to clean the room . I requested towels and the person who delivered the towels had a poor piss attitude when dropping off the towels at my door. The guy with the funny mustache at front desk was amazing and helpful . Cookies were always warm when ask for daily. I guess you get what you pay for but for a Double Tree HILTON I was let down.

    Wasn't sure about the area; it looked quiet enough. If you look hard enough you can find scratches in the entrances and around the doorframes, which really brings down the look, but the hotel looks nice enough. Hotel must have been quite lovely when it first opened. The staff are very kind and professional. The rooms were clean, and I slept well. Would probably stay again.

    Maid service. Had to use the same towels both days. You would think that the price we paid we would have gotten clean towels each day, but that must be your policy, not to change them out. No WIFI service, guess that was an extra cost I overlooked along with the paid parking. I will definitely read all the amenities before I book another motel in the area. But this want be one of them. Slamming doors all night long also. But that's other guest's fault. Not completely satisfied, but you got my money so I will just move on.

    Door open for couple hours to air out the room. Parking was terrible. 30$ a night to park. After taking family to riverwalk and return back to hotel their no parking due to company event. Took over 1hr to find parking in the garage.

    After waiting and driving around someone finally left and we were able to park. There was an event happening at the hotel, so that was part of the issue. It was also very congested in the front of the building trying to get in to the hotel, I believe this was also due to the event that was happening. Otherwise the room was clean and in decent condition.

    The property is surrounded by law-enforcement, courthouses, Bail Bondmans, and other and unfavorable tenants. Vehle travel nearby was inordinately fast. Unsafe. The driveway was too small and vehicles stacked up. Very limited variety of products to purchase. Male night guy wouldn’t give me a bottle opener at 9:00pm morn kitchen staff hadn’t enuf change. Left. Came back with paper dollars and walked away. I asked about the rest of the change and she was astonished she would have to return my change These kids are poorly trained and they have a lack of educationll social skills

    Its an ok hotel, it is overly priced and they charge you for everything. On the app i put breakfast included and it includes breakfast but its not complimentary you have to pay for it. Its 20 dollars per adult for the breakfast. On the app it doesn't say that so if your looking for complimentary breakfast this HOTEL doesn't offer that. My bed was really hard I really didn't like it. Its an ok hotel but I wont be going back.

    This hotel needs to be updated asap. The carpet is run down. The elevators are painfully slow and the decor reminded me of one of those Vegas hotels from the 1970s. Also, it may be technically downtown, but it really is about a good mile from the downtown.

    My one night stay here was amazing! I came down for the Chris Brown concert and it was great!!! They have a shuttle which helped me get around as well! The breakfast buffet was good , a little pricey but it was worth it and convenient. Overall a great stay!

    The room itself was clean, but the overall experience was disappointing. The hallways and front entrance had a strong, humid odor that made the property feel unkept. On top of that, parking in the garage was $30 per night with no other options provided. For the price, I expected a fresher environment and more reasonable parking.

    Our stay was great. The tub grout could use some bleach and scrubbing. I was not pleased with the parking fee of 60.00 dollars for a two night stay. I have stayed in numerous hotels and never charged for parking.

    Very clean, and staff were very attentive. I liked that they offered free shuttles also. I don’t like that I paid ahead for the breakfast bar and it was closed all weekend. The restaurant food wasn’t good. Very hard and couldn’t even eat it. I also thought $30 a day for parking was very expensive, especially because we were only parked at night time, we were gone all day.

    I didn’t like it at all. I’ve stayed at double tree in Dallas and this was far from it. The ac was leaking inside the room on the carpet. The elevator buttons were falling off.

    Overall,I had a great experience. The restaurant and bar inside the hotel were very convenient. My children and myself were able to enjoy our individual entertainment without leaving each other.     The tub in room 216 backs up water really bad leaving myself and my family to essentially take a shower while standing in dirty water that went above my ankles. Even 20 minutes after my shower, the tub still hadn't fully drained. The main light in the restroom was not a typicial bulb, it was a heat lamp giving off enough heat for my 6 foot self to feel as if my head was being burned while getting dressed after my shower. I should have read the description of the beds better, the mattresses are FULL SIZE, and not the typical queens in double bed rooms which did not allow for a comfortable sleep for my wife and I. I ended up sleeping on the floor to give my wife enough space to sleep comfortably. I unfortunately will not be choosing to stay at this location in the future.

    Stayed at the motel was quoted a certain price on Expedia when arrived there they charge $30 a night for parking. I think it would be nice to know from Expedia or from this location before we book our reservations. Total rip off went from one price and they added a $30 For every night that we were there never doing this again very disappointed and frustrated

    Front staff was very friendly, they explained everything from a to z including shuttle services etc, they had a restaurant area and a bar area, but the restaurant was close when we arrived and I ordered a pizza from uber eats, while I was enjoying margaritas with my wife my kid received the pizza and brought it to a restaurant table by the bar and we got told to leave the area because we weren’t supposed to have outside food, so why is that if they’re not offering food service at that time? The manager didn’t even want to come to us and sent another employee instead, very disappointed for not being professional at that time .

    The staff was very friendly, polite, professional and always willing to help. My mother is wheel chair bond and she arrived with pain from traveling. The cleaning staff were very helpful in getting her Advil and Tylenol as well as disposable bed pads for her. I was offered help so that a staff member took the travel bags so that I could push my mother on her wheel chair. We were given an ADA complaint room and our stay was excellent. We will definitely come back to this property when we're back in San Antonio. Thank you to all the staff at Double Tree Downtown San Antonio.

    My neighbor was using weed and blasting music. I had to call the front desk twice. The weed smell never left. Also, a train blasted its horn several times between 3 and 5 am. I usually LOVE this location, but this stay was horrible.

    The staff throughout the facility provided excellent customer service to us. This includes the front desk staff, restaurant and bar staff too. I would like to call out Helma in the restaurant - she took great care of us. She provided helpful information about your city and gave us really good ideas. Scottie at the bar was also phenomenal. Jose who drives the shuttle (evening shift) was like our own personal tour guide. He shared his knowledge of the city with us as he shuttled us back and forth. Oh, those Doubletree COOKIES!! My goodness! I felt like the Cookie monster from Sesame Street. Those are absolutely the BEST!! Not good for my diet, but soooo good for my soul!!! LOL - Thanks DoubleTree!

    We planned a pleasure trip a few months ago no thinking that the temps in San Antonio would be in the 20’s and 30’s. The staff at the hotel made sure that we had a great stay.     It’s in a great location. My reservation was canceled. I experienced ice and snow from my departing city and for two days flights were canceled. I called 3 times to (Doubletree) to inform the staff. I did not want the hotel to be overbooked and I would not have a room. The paid reservation was listed as a “no show’ when I got to the hotel.

    The room was clean however we discovered a few huge yellow stains on our bedding. It was absolutely disgusting and so uncomfortable. That bedding should have never been there and someone should have known better than to allow it to remain on the bed. We didn’t even get a call from a manager or a discount of some sort for this disgusting situation. Very disappointing to say the least.

    Was all good. The area is a little sketchy with homeless a block or 2 away but didn't affect us. Parking should not be 30 a night. Ridiculous. Everything else was good including the bartenders.
