Reviews
Guests generally enjoy the hotel's location, cleanliness, and friendly staff. The hotel's proximity to restaurants, shops, and the lake is highly appreciated. However, some guests have issues with the parking fees, lack of certain amenities, and occasional maintenance problems in the rooms.
- Excellent location with easy access to restaurants, shops, and the lake
- Clean and comfortable rooms
- Parking fees are a common complaint
- Occasional maintenance issues in rooms such as broken hinges, lack of body wash, and no hand soap

We enjoyed our stay! The pool and service were great and all staff was helpful. Our room was on the 5th floor, and it was obvious that it was a “pet friendly” room… we did not have a pet. There was a bit of an underlying scent… the room was clean and comfortable otherwise.

Absolutely fabulous greeting staff. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. From the night manager to the cleaning staff. I will always stay here when I come to Dallas. I forgot how kind and friendly people can be. My grand daughter passed away, and this trip was not going to be a good one. This staff was just so kind and helpful. Helped make a bad situation actually comfortable. Please thank them.

Awesome views and professional staff
- 2/5
Paid for a room with a view of the water.... got a view of the side of the hotel. Other than that, stay was fine. Just not happy to pay for a room with a view specifically and getting the side of the building.

Great weekend getaway spot!!

Rooms are great location is wonderful. Lots of shops and restaurants in the same complex. Staff was less to be desired. Front desk gal was just rude. Clearly did not want to be there and did not want to be helpful.
- 5/5
We had an amazing stay here. It was romantic, and the view was perfect to celebrate our anniversary. Everything was in reach; we didn't have to drive anywhere after checking in.
- 1.5/5
Location off the the lake was great and the A/C temperature in the hotel room was too. For the amount you're paying you would think the quality of blankets would be better, complimentary breakfast would be given and not having to pay for parking.
- 5/5
Clean, friendly staff, room was great!
- 5/5
We love staying here it is so much to do and the staff is amazing
- 3.5/5
It was clean but not cozy. Staff is not very interactive. Polite but stand off’ish. Mattress & pillows were not comfortable. Pillows are flat.
- 5/5
It's just a beautiful, well maintained property. The Hotel is right on the harbor and the park, right next to some really nice restaurants. This is the second time we were there, it is the perfect getaway.

Fantastic stay at Hilton Rockwall Lakefront!! The lake view was absolutely breathtaking, and the staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. The breakfast buffet was outstanding, with a huge selection including eggs, bacon, sausage, lox, fresh fruit, yogurt, bagels, juices, and more. The rooms were spacious, the beds were super comfortable, and the sheets were wonderfully soft. Parking is $16. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it!

We were in Rockwall for our sons wedding so we had several rooms. Our group alone had 7 rooms. They did not clean the rooms even though we put the hang tag on the door saying we needed service. They only brought clean towels after I called. The air conditioning in the whole hotel was out for hours. Bar service was extremely slow.

I stayed on a Friday and Saturday night. The AC started going out the first night, but it was tolerable. Saturday I spent the day at the pool. Customer service at the bar was mediocre because no matter what you purchased they already get a 20% tip. When I went back to my room Saturday afternoon, the AC was completely out. I called and was promised it was gonna be fixed within the next 30 minutes. When it wasn’t, I called back again and they said within the next two hours. When it wasn’t and I called again, they offered no options, but I asked for a fan which helped a little. They just kept telling me and promising me that the AC was gonna be fixed. This continued until 10 PM and they couldn’t move me to any other room because it was the entire hotel. I finally fell asleep and it was fixed sometime in the middle of the night. But I got no refund or discount because I booked through Expedia.

My favorite place to stay in Rockwall. The Texas Cobb Salad w/Shrimp was amazing for dinner. Breakfast is always delightful, I tried the lobster Benedict and it didn’t disappoint. Chef’s kiss! Cleanliness isn’t every an issue but I clean upon arrival Only complaint was the comfort of the bed after 1 night of rest. This was an issue during our last visit and we had to request extra padding. Outside of the bed’s comfort this hotel stay was pleasant overall.

Never use Expedia for any kind of booking.
- 4/5
Nice place and the area was beautiful, front staff could use a little more spark! They were doing some renovations.
- 3/5
It was clean and comfortable and the location was good Despite paying a high dollar room, with a balcony for the harbor, it’s was impossible to stand outside the balcony for the view due to mosquitoes. I understand that it’s impossible to get rid of mosquitoes given the location with water but something can be put in place especially if the view contributes to the high value rate for the room. I felt like I paid for something I didn’t use, I was unable to sit outside and watch sunset and harbor view what I was coming in for. It’s challenging for mosquitoes to be manage but how about looking into a few things to help customers for example, reducing the nightly rate from 500 to 300 during mosquito season, glass sliding ceiling could be helpful too or some mosquito repellant and awareness about presence of mosquitos included in the room ad, also for this rate my opinion is including breakfast and most importantly a microwave in the room. Thank you. I’ll Come again if some of these concerns are addressed

Well to start off the room that was offered was for handicapped accommodations through Hotels. And it wasn’t facing the lake. Which we had to pay $130 more for our anniversary weekend stay. Which was two days.. The bed was very uncomfortable the first night. They did however, take care of the valet parking for the two nights. They moved us to a different room, which was not as nice as the first one. But the room had more comfortable bed. Less counter space for our toiletries. They did however, give us a $15 snack credit. There was another manager before we left on Sunday morning that was supposed to get the manager to contact me. I never heard anything from them.
- 5/5
It was very nice
- 5/5
The location is fantastic! Parking lots are always fairly crowded.
- 5/5
Everything was amazing

Love this property. Situated on a beautiful lake, with a lighthouse, and the rooms were phenomenal. Staff was very friendly, and I love that there was a Starbucks downstairs. This has become my new favorite place to stay!!!

The entire hotel experience was a pleasure
- 3/5
The space is beautiful. The location gorgeous. Some issues for me: There wasn't a place to fill up a water bottle. It was so loud. SO LOUD. The marble in the lobby is beautiful, but it carries sound. We heard every conversation downstairs, every laugh, every song played in the lobby, and every person walking through in the morning. We even could hear the elevator ding. The beds are super firm and with the partiers in the lobby until the wee hours and the early risers in the lobby right away, we barely slept. I bought ear plugs and it helped, but I wouldn't return due to the noise. We didn't eat at the restaurant. Breakfast isn't included.
- 3/5
Didn't eat at the bar.
- 5/5
Really nice hotel, the whole first floor is the lobby with nice places to sit, work, relax with the view of the pool. Pool and water view were amazing.
- 5/5
Really nice place, amazing pool & view. Relaxing atmosphere
- 3/5
Poor noise absorption between connecting rooms. Could hear everything which disrupted our sleep. One night the hallway smelled like weed. Everything else was good. Clean and nice facilities, beautiful views.
- 5/5
This is a lovely property with great views, beds, a nice restaurant, and plenty of parking. The only negative is parking is not free. you have to pay to park your vehicle.
- 5/5

- 5/5
Excellent stay once again.

The view of the pool was enjoyable. My room spelled like smoke. Staff at check in was not very helpful. Did not answer questions well and when asked for towels to be brought to room it never happened I finally went down and asked for some. Stay was still relaxing I just expected more from this hotel.
- 2/5
The telephone in our room was not working ptoperly. Coupd not hear through headset at all. Very disappointed.
- 3/5
Overall my stay was well. I had a bit of a mishap witha specific requested package but it was handled with care and much consideration. I really do appreciate the friendliness of the staff. I was underwhelmed with the property and more notably the shower which was super small in my opinion. I think given that specific area there is a bit of inflation in the prices for most things like parking accommodations etc however I did enjoy my stay.

Stayed valentines weekend and staff missed the mark. Staff forgot to setup romance package in room, did not uphold a dinner reservation, and did not respond to messages. Property is beautiful and clean but staff was sub par or even below. Really poor front desk staff for a hotel of that quality
- 5/5
Great stay!

We stay at this property several times a year. We have always had a great experience. However, this past stay, we were not happy with housekeeping. The day that we checked in, I noticed glitter beads in several areas on the carpet, whoever had rented the room before us apparently drop these beads on the carpet. I was not very concerned at the time, however in the morning at around 9 AM I went down to the front desk and asked if housekeeping could please vacuum the room. When we returned to the room later that evening, not only had the room not been vacuumed, but the bed was not made, but simply just thrown together. I was shocked. I had never experienced this before I simply gave up and just dealt with it apparently, housekeeping was not happy that I complained. Or so it seemed. I took pictures of the bed. (Fortunately towels were replaced.) for $200 a night I expected better.

The room & facilities were nice & great view/location. Our room TV didn’t work the majority of our visit & supposedly a facility wide problem. Overall nice stay!

I checked in around 2 pm and then went out to eat. Came back later and there was someone else in my room. Went to the desk and they gave me a different room. That room was also inhabited. Finally around 1100 pm we were in our room unsure if someone else was going to come in. Very poor experience!

Not the hotels fault, Expedia didn’t book the days correctly.
- 5/5
Beautiful and clean hotel. Great food and service in the restaurant. Valet service was amazing.
- 5/5
It was a beautiful hotel, accommodating. It was unclear until we arrived there were additional parking charges. That was stressful for us. We would come back again, knowing now we need to plan an extra few hundred for parking..

The second day of my stay they did not clean the bathroom they left everything dirty and did not provide lots of towels
- 5/5
Beautiful view and very comfortable
- 5/5
I feel all hotels should get rid of ALL carpet in their hotels.
- 5/5
Hotel was nice with good service and clean rooms. Great place to stay
- 3/5
This is a pet friendly hotel so be prepared for a wet dog smell in certain areas. On our second night we were out at the hot tub with some friends for a few hours having drinks from the hotel’s bar. One of the employees came out and said “you do know that this area closes at 10 right ?” We knew but had lost track of time. We hadn’t seen these friends in Several years. The employee told us that we needed to leave. He was obviously having a rough day. The bed was comfortable and the a/c worked better than any other hotel we’ve stayed in.
- 5/5
Great stay rooms were clean very friendly desk service
- 5/5
Very beautiful Lakeview and quite peaceful
- 5/5
Nice rooms, beautiful hotel in an affluent neighborhood. It was perfect

Great area. Room was nice and clean. The pool was spacious.

My husband and I wanted to get away for a couple of days from the monotony of our daily routines. Upon arriving at the Hilton, the hotel is beautiful from the outside. The scenery is beautiful as well as when you enter the hotel. It is very beautiful in the lobby, bar, & the restaurant and quite polished throughout. however, my problem was actually when I entered the shower and there was soap scum from the previous guest and it totally grossed me out. I did make that known to, I believe her name is Amaya and Makenna and they asked me what they thought should be done. I felt that was something that should’ve figure out. I requested they send someone to clean it before we returned back to the room. That did have housekeeping come up and clean the room and the bathroom again. Cleanliness is imperative and that right there is a no for me. I do not like that. It just brought me back to Covid and showering with someone else’s bodily fluids was very mentally disturbing, but that was truly the only issue that I had besides, you know as much as we pay to to be there over the weekend some of the amenities that they have are worn, the walls in the bathroom are patched with different shades of white. The molding is coming up from the floor and from the shower, I mean for it to be such a beautiful hotel they do need some upgrades.
- 5/5
Didn’t like to have to pay to park
- 5/5
Loved this hotel and would definitely stay here again. Great dining options, well appointed room, with soft sheets and a pillow I considered stealing. Pretty property, easy self parking, dining on site, pool overlooking lake. Would recommend.
- 5/5
Was overall a really nice stay there were tons of restaurants and activities in walking distance.
- 5/5
What a great stay and hotel
- 3/5
I paid more than $250 a night and they charged me $40 in parking. And this hotel was not in the city. It was in a remote location there was acres of parking all around the hotel!!
- 5/5
The room is so spacious and clean. Concierge staff very helpful. Location is walking distance to many nice restaurants.
- 3/5
Have stayed many times over the years. Location if not sole, then primary plus, and staff are generally very nice. Amenities are limited at premium cost. Food and drinks are okay but prices difficult to swallow! Then there are irritants: RS menu NEVER matches available menu! Huge parking lot free for years, now a new cash cow, evidently. Few bellhops or luggage carts, so odds are you will lug your stuff. Pool loungers VERY uncomfortable after an hour or so, major sun but few umbrellas, 3 cabanas take up vast amount of pool area for merely $600 a day! In essence, value once prized has dwindled greatly. Staff is generally very nice, and I've personally dealt with all but the latest GM and they were supremely gracious. Did not contact current one. Truth is, we've enjoyed staying there, found trade-offs worth it. But SO many regulars have reached their limits and simply will not return. We openly wonder if/when we'll reach the same decision. It's about value, and it's increasingly in doubt.
- 5/5
Excellent property with ambience. Food was great, nice cocktails and Diego was beyond great at service, but his emotional intelligence should be recognized by this management and used to his potential. Pool was great and usually active with great music. Beautiful walking to food, sunset cruises at the dock and free outdoor concerts in the summer.
- 4/5
Great stay. Not sure everyone at the pool was a hotel guest.
- 5/5
🔝🔝🔝🔝🔝🔝🔝🔝🔝🔝🔝
- 3/5
Took 2 days to get coffee and towels in the room. They comped us breakfast which was appreciated but it didn’t make up for asking 3 times to get the room serviced with no response.
- 5/5
This was a beautiful hotel with professional, friendly, helpful staff. The pool was clean and great for relaxing and enjoying a hot summer day. The beds were very comfortable in the rooms, and the whole property is very well kept. It was a great stay!
- 3/5
The hotel stay was good. When I booked my stay it stated I would receive a hotel credit. I asked about the credit at check in but the staff did not know anything about it. I supposedly had a credit that I was not able to use.
- 2/5
I didnt like that we had to pay $15 to park but the next day at 11:00am i get a alert to pay again. I thought parking was for 24 hours. The elevator was out. At the swimming pool I couldn't bring my Stanley cup which had water in it. I guess since they had a bar they want us to purchase water through them.I have stayed in a way nicer Hilton and we could bring whatever we wanted bu the pool. I guess this one is money hungry
- 5/5
Great location!
- 5/5
Always love coming back to Rockwall and staying at this beautiful hotel!
- 5/5
Clean and convenient.
- 4/5
Great place. Staff were exceptional especially at the bar and restaurant. Food was pretty good for a hotel.
- 5/5
Beautiful facility inside and out! Room extremely nice, quiet and clean.
- 3/5
The rooms and location are great. They are charging for parking now, and for the quality of the breakfast, the food is way overpriced.
- 5/5
Everything was fantastic! Pool was so relaxing. Restaurants to walk to were great and reasonably priced. Very relaxing weekend.
- 5/5
Excellent choice!! Highly recommend!!
- 5/5
I had a wonderful stay at the Hilton by the lake. It was a beautiful hotel. Yes, I would stay here again.
- 2/5
Beautiful property however, we had to change room because the first one smelled like cat piss and then we only had one garbage can that was located in the bathroom. Housekeeping only gave us one coffee cup and when we brought a beverage back to our room they would not take it from the room. They finally after I complained put it in the hallway outside of our room next to our door instead of taking it. While at the bar we witnessed several people walk out because the bartender wouldn't take their order.
- 5/5
Everything was absolutely perfect!
- 4/5
There’s so many restaurants and venues to choose from, the views of the lake and the resort area is inviting. The staff was warm and welcoming. The room was relaxing; definitely intend to come back and stay longer.
- 3/5
We are not coming back .
- 5/5
Amazing experience!!!
- 5/5
Fabulous!!
- 5/5
One of the best hotel experiences I’ve had in awhile! Definitely would recommend for others!
- 3/5
The staff at the front desk was excellent, professional, and willing to accommodate our needs. However, we had to wait 30 minutes to 1 hour to get our lake view. When the front desk person informed us, she was very apologetic and informed us that they were fully booked and were a little behind. We went to the bar, had an OK lunch with drinks. Wanted to hang out at the pool, but it was overcrowded. Later on, we found out they sell day passes to the pool, which makes the guests not enjoy it because it is so crowded—we got to hang out at the pool the next day, only by heading down at 8 am and separating our lawn chairs. The Jacuzzi and pool were dirty from the day before. Had to have the front desk clean the jacuzzi so we could get in. An hour later, they showed up to clean. When leaving, I was looking for a sandal under the bed and found dirty socks from the prior guest. Overall, we would not stay there again.
- 3/5
Service was good but the room conditions were bad.. the first room I was in had ants no hot water and no water pressure.i was moved to a different room still had no water pressure and both the tub and the shower was leaking also elevator would not come up to the 5th floor unless you called someone from the front desk and ask to send it up.The pool needed cleaning..this hotel was a resort definitely bid not feel like one.
- 5/5
It is right off the Harbor. There are many restaurants to choose from.
- 3/5
Could use better cleaning . Shower curtain smelled weird and pillows .
- 5/5
I checked in early on a Thursday for an early Friday workshop at a nearby company, so it was quiet and relaxing.
- 5/5
Very nice

Everything was great!

- 5/5
Beautiful property, great service!
- 5/5
I love the views and the short walks to restaurants on the water. The hot tub is great too.
- 5/5
Good place
- 5/5
This was a perfect stay for my son and I on Mother’s Day weekend. Me and my sister were able to enjoy the relaxing pool while the kids swam in the pool. The food was great and the drinks were even better. Cannot forget to mention the comfortable beds that were much needed after a long day exploring the city.
- 4/5
Over all it was a great stay.
- 1/5
Also, if you’re hosting a police canine convention, you should probably make your guests aware of this in advance. The “nicest” hotel in the area when it smells like a dog kennel and you’re surrounded with police dogs still in training does not make for a relaxing stay!!
- 5/5
Absolutely wonderful place
- 3/5
No breakfast I used for the price. Have a restaurant but have to buy off a menu, no buffet. Was OK but not worth the price. Pillows were good but my back was killing me in the morning!
- 5/5
Very relaxing! I would definitely come back.
- 5/5
Awesome staff
- 5/5
Well kept property. Nice facility. Comfortable beds.
- 5/5
Great place to stay
- 5/5
I love this place . It’s always my go to
- 5/5
The hotel itself was beautiful, clean, and comfortable—everything we needed for a relaxing and enjoyable stay. We’ll definitely be returning and recommending it to friends and family. Thanks again, Hilton Rockwall, and thank you Amaya for making our stay even more memorable!
- 5/5
My stay was wonderful. Very clean room!
- 3/5
The bed is very hard and uncomfortable. It tend to get hot overnight. I came to get rest but unfortunate I couldn't.

Amazing experience. Friendly staff! Would stay again!

This place is a hidden gem. We stayed here when visiting for the Texas state fair and also seeing PBR at the stockyards. Yes it’s a drive from both of those but the surrounding area, views, comfort and value of the hotel beat the socks off anything else in an hour radius of the state fair. It’s an older hotel but well maintained. The pool and lounge beds were great.

Safe in our room was broke and I didn’t get a receipt when we checked out even though I asked for one for incidentals. Other than that, very comfortable stay.

Great compound that had everything that you needed for a great stay. The bar and restaurant were a little high priced but convenient.

The room and hotel itself was excellent. The only thing not appreciated was the charge to park in front of the hotel... On top of the price you're charged just to stay there, you have to pay for parking if you want to park in front of the hotel, and that is $15 per night. I found this quite ridiculous and completely unreasonable.
