    This hotel is seriously run down and a disappointment. Stains all over the walls, leak marks on the ceilings, smelly carpet and a poor effort at patching things up. Broken light switches, burned out bulbs and the door to the room sounded like it was falling apart when you opened it. Won’t stay here again.

    Sure, show pictures of a contemporary remodeled common area to attract visitors. That breakfast area was indeed nice, but sleeping quarters really needed a makeover. Patched walls, outdated showerhead, terrible paint job in the bathroom with some exposed wood. Just felt a little rundown and neglected for the price.

    Pleasant check-in staff. Decent breakfast. The room was very warm, though, and the thermostat didn’t seem to work. Very warm for sleeping.     The layout of the room, the comfort of the bed, the fact that we were on the first floor and the breakfast had lots of options. The wear and tear of the room. You could tell pictures had been moved but nothing had been patched on the walls and there were live bugs in the light in the bathroom.

Women’s restroom was out of toilet paper but refilled right away when I advised. Second stay here- just moved to town.

    This was the worst Hampton Inn experience. The carpets were filthy. When we turned the air on, there was a strange musty smell that left us coughing all night. When the air would reach its temp and cut off, immediately it became musty and warm and we would have to get out of bed and turn it down even lower. There were 3 of us and only 2 towels in the room. The shower handle was broke and about to fall off so there was little pressure and only a slight spray of water. Most of the water was coming out of the faucet and the mechanism to adjust to shower or tub was welded in place so we were unable to get the full shower spray. The door key wouldn't work on our first room and after 3 times of going back down to the front desk, we were moved to the room described above. We stayed in this hotel on Christmas Eve and spent Christmas Day with our family exhausted and barely showered. I would not recommend this hotel.

    It was clean - quite - everything looked ok Room 203 - had some kind of strobe light that flashed every few seconds all night long - the microwave had this beep going off every couple of minutes like it had just timed out - I was going to unplug it but I had to move this make shift cabinet the covered the little fridge - but the little cabinet was barely held together - I was afraid it would collapse if I tried to move it - and I didn’t want to get charged for damaging something that was already falling apart - so I pulled the microwave forward and luckily the microwave control went out so we didn’t have to listen to it beep all night - the towels were thin and there life was gone - should be replaced and at least one more towel and hand towel and wash rag should be standard - bed was too soft for me but that’s not your fault - the breakfast was nice and tasted good - but tooth picks should be put out for those of us who need them after a meal … the lady at the desk when we checked in was very nice and pleasant - I think the rate was a little high for the quality of a room I would expect from a Hampton property

    A nice location, good access to the lake, but also loud outside with I-30 right there. The sound dampening windows did a good job keeping that road noise to a minimum. The facilities were in good not great condition. My room had some dated, worn furniture and the carpets are also showing their age. Generally very clean, though. Well appointed with medium sized fridge, microwave and coffee maker. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. Ownership was clearly in the process of changing out the HVAC units (I believe) but they had empty boxes—basically, garbage—around the perimeter. Also 3 shipping container in the parking lot? Looked tacky outside, somewhat dated inside but overall a good stay.

    This hotel is trash! Cracks in the ceiling and holes as well! The walls are literally falling apart. Shower head was barely hanging on. Dirty towels! I will never stay at this nasty place again. Staff was excellent but building is gross. They also tried to charge me for my service dog and even asked for my documentation which I gladly showed but it is illegal for them to ask. Someone will end up suing them.

    The hotel room is clean and comfortable and the hotel in a great convenient location. I have stayed here at least twice while visiting family in the Garland area. (As far as areas that could be improved: the walls are very thin. A crying and screaming baby in the next room, snoring, and people pounding/jumping on the floor upstairs made sleeping very difficult. It was disappointing that you didn’t have the coffee available in the morning that I drink. One final comment would be to hire a landscaper to clean the outside area. It needed a good sweeping and freshening up.)

    Checkin with Kimberly was smooth and she was very nice. The hotel itself was nice. Our stay was great. Laura was really sweet during our check out. The grounds need attention. There’s a pile of trees and limbs that’s an eyesore on the property. The mulch has been delivered that will go down around the building but it’s stacked along the sidewalk.

    Check in was fast, front desk staff was courteous. Our room was very comfortable, clean, and quiet. It had all the necessities. Full size shampoo, conditioner, body lotion, and body wash. Breakfast was excellent, it included eggs, sausage, potatoes, waffles, cereal, milk, pastries, juice, coffee and hot chocolate. We've stayed there twice and will definitely stay there again.

    The heat/AC system is not good. It doesn’t keep the room a constant temperature, and the fan is noisy. There’s no way to bring in outside air, so the room smells musty. Listing included a pool and a hot tub. The pool is outside and closed for the winter, and the hotel has “never had a hot tub.” Breakfast was good for a standard hot breakfast, but it had limited options: eg, plain oatmeal but no other hot cereal, one kind of bagel, and no coffee creamers (just Half & Half). But the waffle cooker worked well. Not a bad hotel, but we won’t stay there again.

    Very disappointed in stay. The room 301 was old circa 1980’s. Poor lighting scuffed up paint, furniture is a must see to believe but 1 piece had 2 1x4’s holding it in place and the tile in bathroom was loose and cracked and plain caulk was used to attempt repair! The sheets appeared wrinkled like they hadn’t been changed, luckily the extra blanket was sealed and appeared to be new so I slept on top of it since it was a very late check in and I was to tired to wait on clean sheets. Hampton has always been great but this room was below motel 6!!!!!

    Not just wallpaper. Emergency lights, rubber baseboards…. To name a few. Biggie for me: No mattress covers!!!!!!! No pillow covers. Old flat, very used pillows. Old TV. Breakfast… no bacon or sausage. Interesting. Met owner apon arriving- very nice. Due to this being our second experience at the Hampton, Rockwall, we will not be staying there again. I can put up with minor things but no mattress and pillow covers is a big NO. I have my own VRBO- and Hampton In should know better. Shame on them.

    It was under renovation but in the room, the floors were sticky, some lights didn’t work, one pillow had a stain on it. Other than that, it was okay.

    Refrigerator didnt work and yhe tv guide didnt show amy channels. Had tonsearch theough all channels tonsee whay to watch. Floors seemned damp and muggy.

    Lobby smelled musty when I first walked in. Room & bathroom were roomy bc it was “handicapped” even though I did not request that option. Sheets & beds were soft/comfy!

    Convenient location. Most of the staff was very friendly. The bathroom gave off a sewer gas smell. The toilet holder was loose in the wall. The bath sink drained slowly. There were several mold/mildew spots in the shower. The rest of the room was just fine. The remote control is not easy to use and scrolling through channels is time consuming. Breakfast was good. Coffee and tea were always available.
