Everything. Cacaia and Henrique was very kind and awesome. Highly recommended this hostel. Great location in Santa Teresa. Nothing

The property is super close to the main square of Santa Teresa, just a block away, so you have the quiet feeling of a local neighborhood while being a short distance from all the action. While staying there you have use of a kitchen, fridge, hammocks, communal TV. It has a community vibe, well decorated, quaint and cozy. The people who own it are very nice, helpful, kind; it feels like family. They were very kind to make my room comfortable with my sensitivities to fragrances too which I really appreciate. We enjoyed our stay there very much and miss it already. Nothing. Just be mindful of the sizes of suitcases you bring because there are tight stairs descending into the location; Santa Teresa is hilly and this is normal.

The historic Santa Tereza location was very good, close to many bars, restaurants, a movie theater, the old electric tram railway, artisan stores and museums. The room was comfortable, with A/C and ceiling fan; beds had curtains, own electric sockets and light. Owners were nice and solicitous. Breakfast was not included in room rate (it was paid apart, if breakfast was ordered) and it was a bit expensive. The mountain location means many stair steps (beware), but that’s on the description of the property. The en-suite bathroom was small, shower would wet the toilet and the floor would stay wet afterwards, should you want to use the toilet soon after (perhaps leaving a squeegee or a mop in the bathroom would solve the problem). I also found that the water wouldn’t get warm enough and do not recommend the room for a winter or autumn stay.

Good hostel to stay in Santa Teresa. Henrique e Cacaia are very nice and helpful. There is a very nice communal area. The hostel was almost empty when I arrived so there was no social aspect. The rooms are a bit old and bathroom small but it is good value for money.

Cacai and Henrique go out of their way to make you feel welcome, keep safe and make the most of your time at the hostel. Breakfast is great and it's a really sociable hostel. The dorms can get warm during heatwaves and while Santa Teresa is great, it can be a little tricky getting to the city's more touristy spots so it's sometimes worth planning ahead

There could be better lighting in the room.

The sweetest couple runs this hostel and the breakfast was always fantastic!

The owners are an amazing and caring married couple. They only speak Portuguese, but we managed well to communicate. Breakfast is very good and the common areas are nice to hang out in. They have filtered water. Close to Santa Theresa area. The beds are quite uncomfortable and the bunks are unstable. Bathroom was located within the dorm room, so it felt very intimate to go to the bathroom. No aircon during 08-21, so it got incredibly warm during the day.

The best hostel in Rio, by far. Top-notch bed, everything is quality. Henrique and Cacaia are amazing, turned their house into a discreet and quiet place. Great for families and those who prioritize health. Spacious kitchen, room with air conditioning and privacy. After 6 hostels, this one's the best.

Cacaia and Henrique are so lovely and nice, they alone are a reason to stay there. The place is really nice and I wish I would have stayed more than kne night.

Big common area, friendly hosts. Cool neighbourood but far from some tourist attractions and Ubers don't like to take you at times because the area is difficult to navigate and throws off their GPS. The hostel doesn't have a sign out front so it was difficult to identify where the hosetl was and what door to go through. Doors to the room didn't lock properly
