Nice lobby, nice rooftop. Comfy bed and pillows. Great view Thought the room would be nicer, cause I got the more expensive high floor room with ocean view. Maybe it was one that wasn’t remodeled yet, the carpet in there was pretty gross I wouldn’t dare walk on it barefoot. The shower and bathroom was rough, due to poor tile installation there’s mold and mildew all over. The walls and floors. The breakfast was really bad, all 4 days too. Very unfortunate, I usually like breakfast at hotels in Brazil. This was disappointing. The worst part about this hotel is the elevator system; it’s the worst elevator system I’ve ever dealt with an I travel a lot. Also had to call to get our room cleaned. Honestly not a bad hotel but for the money I paid, plus the fact that it was supposed to be an “executive” experience, I was disappointed

The location and views were great. One cleaner and server was very kind. My stay at Othon Palace was highly disappointing and fell far short of what I expected from a hotel that markets itself as a luxury property. The room I originally booked looked extremely low-budget and outdated, to the point that I felt compelled to pay for an upgrade immediately upon arrival. Even after upgrading, the experience remained underwhelming. The balcony was tiny and nowhere near what the online photos suggest, which felt misleading. The food quality was poor throughout my stay, and the hotel does not offer the level of luxury, comfort, or attention to detail that guests would expect from a 4-star or higher property. Having stayed at many hotels in this category, I can confidently say this one does not measure up. Customer service was another major disappointment. Staff showed little sense of urgency when handling requests, and simple issues often took far too long to be addressed. To make matters worse, there was a significant leak around the air-conditioning unit in my room that soaked clothing inside my suitcase. I also encountered two cockroaches during my stay—one in the bathroom and another near the connecting-room door—which is completely unacceptable. The bathroom had a persistent unpleasant odor at times, and I found what appeared to be dried feces on the hose attached to the toilet. Cleanliness standards were clearly lacking. Additionally, the hotel did not provide basic amenities such as robes or slippers. Overall, this was not the luxury experience advertised online. Between the maintenance issues, cleanliness concerns, poor service, misleading room photos, and subpar food, I would not recommend Othon Palace and would not choose to stay here again.

Rooftop Bed, linens and pillows. Breakfast Location Rooms need renovation. Carpet was old. No coffeemaker in our room, no iron, no working soap or lotion in our sink.

The location was wonderful, the staff was amazing, drinks at the rooftop bar were delicious, and it was a pleasant stay. The elevators were a pain to use, I waited 7 minutes for one at one point. The suite bathroom was extremely outdated and the drain didn’t work. The blinds in the suite sitting area were broken and filthy. The chairs were also very dingy looking.

The location the staff everything was nice NA

The hotel is very well located, it has excellent common facilities recently renovated. The rooftop has the best views in Copacabana and the breakfast is varied and delicious. The lower floor rooms are very old. Nights are very noisy because of the street movement. Sometimes it takes a while to be able to use the elevator.

The renovations are beautiful in the restaurant which allows for much better experience during breakfast Wish we could have extended our checkout time as our departure was not set until 10pm.

Location was good Stayed at the Rio Othon Palace and it was a complete disappointment from start to finish. The rooms are extremely outdated, the beds are small and uncomfortable, the AC leaked, and the bathroom felt very low-end for what this hotel charges. The elevators were constantly packed and painfully slow. Things got even worse when we were moved to another room in the middle of the night. Then at 2AM, a hotel worker called our room because the previous guest had supposedly forgotten personal items there before we were moved in. Completely unacceptable and incredibly unprofessional. To top it all off, the hotel charged my Visa card at check-in for the full $697 stay, then ALSO charged my AMEX card that was saved through Booking.com for another $697. When I brought it up, staff played dumb and claimed they only saw one charge. Terrible customer service and terrible management. Would absolutely not stay here again.

The location was fantastic! Breakfast was really good, and And a view made it even better. Not to mention, they had pretty good coffee! The staff was so helpful, so friendly, so accommodating. I’m really upset with myself because I had written down all of their names, and now I can’t find it, because there were some very very special people at the front desk. And the ROOFTOP!!!! Let’s just say, I liked it so much that we already have reservations to go back and stay there in July. The only thing I didn’t like about the property, is that our door had to be physically closed. A couple of times we walked out, and realized the door wasn’t closed. Also, the elevators took forever, so planned for that!. Other than that, everything else. Pretty good.

Location The rooms are old and needs an upgrade.

Exceptional location, big rooms, comfortable beds and pillows. Breathtaking views, awesome rooftop. They left a complimentary cake and a note for my birthday in the room. Breakfast was abundant. They were accommodating with early check in. Plenty of places to eat and shop around! After spending several days there breakfast can be repetitive.

The hotel has so many rooms, so there is a lot of people. The common area like the swimming pool is small for the amount of people, so its ALWAYS crowded.

Had a few flies in the bathroom sink, one was by my ear one night and killed a white fly on the bathroom mirror
