This was a very disappointing experience. The hotel canceled our reservation at 6p the night we arrived and had already pre-approved a late check-in. We were able to get a room but the room was dirty (stained sheets, general grim). The breakfast area was crowded and unclean. I do not recommend booking here.

Breakfast Linens terrible, no blanket (i asked for one several times), towels very old and rough, asked for extra pillow and it was denied because the room had 1 pillow per person, staff at reception very rude. I staied before in this hotel and liked it, but the quality has decreased significantly.

Location We found bed bugs in our room, which was really disappointing. They did change our room, but the overall service was poor. The sauna wasn’t working even though I informed them an hour in advance as they advised. The pool was cold. On the positive side, the views were nice, the location was great, and the included breakfast was average.

Hotel cancelled booking and only told us on arrival, not even an email or message. I asked why and the lady behind the desk simply shrugged and said she didn’t know. They wouldn’t let us stay despite us showing the active booking confirmation and blamed booking.com, who themselves confirmed the booking was fine and blamed the hotel. Staff were very unhelpful and were more interested in passing the buck and fobbing us off rather than resolving anything. After much back and forth they then tried blaming us saying my card wasn’t accepted and I should have changed it, I once again showed them the booking.com confirmation which proved otherwise but they weren’t interested. After 2 hours going round the houses with them and booking.com we gave up. We can’t speak for the facilities as we had to book elsewhere, we’d just warn to not expect any kind of customer service if there’s a problem with your booking. This review isn’t 1 star because there was an apparent mix up, it’s 1 star due to how badly it was handled by hotel staff.

Provided a comfortable bed. Adequate breakfast. AC did not work properly. Wardrobe door fell off (potentially dangerous) as did door handle to bathroom. The spa bath was both grotty and totally impractical. If we had tried to fill it to a level where the just lower row of jets would work then water would have been cold by that time. It was very large and water flow was low. Thus totally impractical and a significant waste of water. Pool bar was not open and instructions in information file were incorrect. There were no pool towels to be had as advised. Just told to use the thin off-white room towels despite fact that information file said not to use the room towels. We had a grotty old duvet on the bed with no cover. There was a clean sheet but this was fitted on top of the duvet so that the duvet was in contact with skin. We remade bed so that we had clean sheet next to skin and not duvet. Had to do it every day as maid remade it with clean sheet on top. We left a day early.
