Whole experience was awful. They never honoured the booking with booking.com . I was left with no where to stay in middle of carnival where no other accommodation was available They didn’t honour a booking I made 10 months prior and left me with nowhere to stay during carnival.

    Not very nice-location

  • Engine customer Mar 2026

Tbf nothing. It was nothing like the pictures. But staff was nice It was as dirty as it could be. The mattress we slept on was in awful state and completely dirty. Though it had a cover, it was really thin and it even had holes in it. We opted to leave the sheets as an additional cover. The walls had fungus. The spray that is used as a bidet had to had its water shut off valve closed otherwise it would leak. We woke up and saw a cockroach on our stuff too. We only stayed one night and i slept 3 hours due to how stressful and disgusted i was about the health conditions. I recorded a video to my family. But did not take pictures

  • Engine customer Nov 2025

    It's a reliable downtown hotel

  • Engine customer Aug 2025

Absolutely trash hotel, dirty and stinky rooms. Not worth it.

  • Engine customer Apr 2025

Staff are helpful and friendly... But there are no cleaning staff.... Bedding with excrement and heaven knows what all the mattress stains are. Location near beaches sounds good but it's on a hairpin bend where every motorbike heading up to the slum blasts their horns, multiple times, day and night Cheaper than most but NOT good value The place should be demolished

The place is falling apart, but the staff is super friendly, clean and comfy bed with AC. The location is very good.

  • Engine customer Mar 2025

Stuff is amazing! They did everything with genuine passion to make things good. This place needs to be shut down. It's extremely old and dirty. Everything is like trash—the building, furniture, bedding, doors, and windows. very, very steep stairs) The elevator doesn't work, and they don't have plans to fix it. It is too old to be fixed, so you need to go to the second floor for reception and then one or two more levels to your room. Good luck if you have a suitcase. This is the worst place to stay I've had in my life. The only good thing about this place is the staff. They are all just amazing!

    Superb

I paid a ridiculously low price for the room and the location in Ipanema is ideal (nice supermarkets, restaurants, the beach, a subway station and the outdoor gym at Arpoador are within a ten-minute walk). The staff were friendly. Believe all the bad reviews on here. This is probably the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at. The sheets and floor were dirty. The bathroom smelled like mold. There was no hot water in the shower. I stayed four nights and the room wasn’t cleaned once. The air conditioning was extremely loud and didn’t work properly (it was over 30 degrees Celsius outside). The elevator isn’t working and seeing as they’ve put a bunch of plants in front of it, I don’t think they plan to fix it anytime soon. If you’re the kind of person who spends very little time in your hotel room, this might be a good choice for you despite all the problems listed. If you’re someone who needs a comfortable place to escape the heat, this hotel will leave you with an awful impression of Rio.

The manager behavior was good. But the receptionist lady not that much. She doesn't understand English at all and finally u need to use ur transltion robot for speaking to her! I believe booking is a liar! I don’t understand that concept of 4 or 5 stars it puts for some hotels! This hotel is faaaaar from a 4 stars hotel! It’s not even a hostel!! So why would booking put those 4 yellow stars for it! Second thing: I did my booking at 11 pm and immediately headed to hotel from airport! But surprisingly the so-called HOTEL’s doors were closed and after waiting for almost half an hour and calling different offices and places, finally I had to go to other place for stay! I even contacted them in WhatsApp and they told they will open at 7am!! Seriously?? Is it a hotel or school? Or office?? Why would u keep ur booking open at the website for that night when u r closed?? It really was disappointing! And the picture of that lovely milipeds that I attached!! Yes. U r right! I got it in my room!

It was cheap and comfortable. Also, the location was really good. Near from the subway station, the beach and it is right between Ipanema and Copacabana. The first night we got there, the floor was not clean at all, but the day after they cleaned it.

    Passable

  • Engine customer Nov 2024

The picture is better. All hotel looks dirty and old

  • Engine customer Oct 2024

No elevator, so it is difficult to carry luggage. Mould everywhere in the bathroom. They have showed nice photos of their hotel in the website, but the actual place sucks.

  • Engine customer Oct 2024

Hard to reach. Far. And elevator is not functioning. DO NOT BOOK IF YOU HAVE LUGAGGES. YOU WILL CARRY YOUR LUGGAGES TO STIFF STAIRS. A lot. Cleanliness. Pillows. Bed. Everything.

    Run down, dirty, dump.
