The location, the kindness of the staff, the unique setup of the property, the cocktails, the food was next level gourmet masterpieces, I can’t say enough good things Everything was amazing

Our stay at Banyan Tree Hotel in Bali was truly magical. From the moment we arrived, we felt surrounded by serenity and warmth. The design of the resort is breathtaking — a perfect blend of nature and luxury. The No Walls No Doors concept was one of the most unique experiences we’ve ever had, and it was actually the main reason we chose to stay here. It gave us a sense of openness, freedom, and connection with nature that made our time unforgettable. The service was exceptional — every staff member treated us like family, always smiling and making sure every detail was perfect. Their kindness made our stay feel personal and special. A highlight of our trip was the private waterfall. It’s a beautiful, peaceful spot that feels like a hidden paradise. We truly appreciated this experience and highly recommend it. For improvement, we’d suggest adding a small amenity box near the waterfall area — with towels or mats to sit on after crossing the river. It would make the experience even more comfortable. Also, it would be great if the villa pool lights could be turned off at night or have a switch control, as they stayed on all night and slightly affected our sleep. Overall, Banyan Tree Hotel in Bali exceeded our expectations. It’s an experience filled with beauty, calmness, and romance — one that stays in your heart long after you leave.

Excellent service and atmosphere Truly unique and amazing experience. Breathtaking views in the middle of the jungle (located about 1 hr from Ubud) The hotel has a clear vision around ethics and culture which runs through all aspects of the hotel including the menu which is 70% plant based and locally sourced. Particularly enjoyed the walk to the private waterfall and the dining experience over the 2 nights we were there. We got really good service from Diva and Tinie, always smiling, welcoming and went the extra mile. Also shout out to the manager Raka who listened and genuinely welcomed feedback. The only issue is on the last night they run out of Tequila, which is not acceptable considering the remote location and that this hotel is luxury 5 star. The manager came to say sorry and acknowledged this was not good enough. (My wife only drinks tequila). The manager Raka was great, very empathetic and listened to what we had to say. I think 2-3 nights would be sufficient to stay here should you wish to completely relax.

The view is like a fairytale, the staff is more than happy to help and the food is amaizing. Wonderful to wake up in such a view, hearing the birds sing and play on the edge of the pool. Can't wait to come back!

The property is breathtaking—immersed in nature, open to the jungle, with amazing food, a restorative spa, and an atmosphere of complete peace. Buahan is more than a resort, it is an experience we will treasure and return to.

Location is bit far from airport so taxi service are hard and bit expensive

We will never forget the gracious staff at Buahan such as Arta and Chef Surya. They were from the many staff that made our Honeymoon unforgettable and special. The small details like drawing a bath on our last night and walking us to our villa and back on regular nights. Everyone was so friendly and took great care of us. We loved our villa and the spa was beyond amazing! Nothing worth noting

It was a life time experience for us, we loved every minute of it, and hope to be back one day. The architecture of the whole resort is perfectly blended with the jungle. Every corner is elegantly decorated and spotless clean. Rooms are like floating on the jungle, very special experience. We stayed half board for a week and each meal was carefully orchestrated by the kitchen and served at perfection. European techniques are carefully executed with local ingredients and every member of the team is kind, presentable, and serves each plate and drink with a huge smile on their face. We want to mention their name and thank them personally for this outstanding experience; Chef Sheandy Satria, Chef Surya, Purnayasa ‘Big John’, Olive, Riska, Rica, Sriasih, Rudi, Diva, Arsana, Nanda, Barli, Ani, Armadi ‘Dollar’ and Sutianto, thank you guys. Our butler was Riadi, he is focused, understands your taste and creates an itinerary according to your expectations. Patient, kind and with a big smile. His search for perfection never ends, he always tries to think a possible - better option. He is a gem. During our stay we did a few complimentary tours and a few private ones. Uya was always by our side and he did not only drive the car or hiked with us, he also explained every detail with passion, kindness, intellectuality and respect to tradition. Thanks to him we had the chance to explored the Balinese culture from a local perspective.

One of the most unforgettable experiences I’ve ever had. The food is incredibly delicious — made with fresh, local ingredients that truly capture the spirit of the region. The place is so peaceful and relaxing, and the service is beyond exceptional. Everyone was kind, professional, and made me feel genuinely welcomed. And the view? Absolutely stunning. I’ve been to many places around the world, but nothing compares to this. Buhan Banyan Tree Bali is on another level

The resort is located deep inside the forest, about 2 hours car ride away from Denpasar airport. The isolated location makes the surrounding very quiet and immersive in nature. The no doors no walls experience was exceptional, and the view from the room and the dining area was simply stunning! On a good weather, you get a chance to see the beautiful mountains beyond the clouds of mist. The staff at Buahan knew their guests' name and would greet us so, and they catered our experience according to our preferences. Ingredients they used for cooking were sourced locally, and mostly plant-based. Depending on the day of your stay, they provide different tours/activities. We got to participate in their private waterfall tour and cocktail making session. Would love to be back in the future. Although it is highly emphasized that your Bale will have full seclusion and privacy, unfortunately it wasn't really the case for us. In the morning, there were some staff really close to the bottom of our Bale and were cleaning there or passing by. Some of the staff even looked up into our Bale, and it felt really uncomfortable as we were using the bath at that time. So be aware of your own privacy, especially for females.
