-friendly staff -various amenities -near to the trains -Very small room for 2 persons

The blanket was very thick and hot to sleep. Also the area is a teeny tiny bit sketchy. But by western standards super safe

We have just arrived at our new hotel after traveling through Japan extensively this year and also two years ago. During all of our travels, including stays in traditional ryokans and visits to many onsen—especially in rural areas and smaller towns—I never had any issues, despite being heavily tattooed. Because we speak a lot of Japanese and are clearly respectful travelers, I was always allowed to use the baths and onsen without any problems. At this hotel, however, the experience was very disappointing from the start. The staff spoke to us in Japanese, but extremely fast and without really adjusting to us or engaging properly. When I asked whether I was allowed to use the public bath (which is not even an onsen), I was told no, purely because of my tattoos. I went downstairs again to ask for clarification. The staff member initially tried to dismiss me by asking whether I had makeup to cover my tattoos. I said no, and she went to ask again. When she returned, she told me that I would only be allowed to use the bath if I completely covered my tattoos with makeup—otherwise, I was not allowed in. I find this completely unacceptable. First of all, this is not an onsen, but a public bath. I understand that hotels may have their own policies, but in this context the rule felt unnecessarily strict and outdated. We are staying in the middle of Osaka, a highly international and tourist-friendly city—not in a remote rural area. We speak Japanese, we behave respectfully, and it is very obvious that we are European tourists and not affiliated with anything like the Yakuza. Throughout our entire journey across Japan, this is the only hotel where I was denied access because of my tattoos—and especially for a public bath. That makes this experience particularly disappointing and, frankly, quite offensive.

The location for us was great. Close but walkable to many markets, temples, and great foods. We enjoyed the massage and haircuts on the same street and found everyone very friendly and hospitable.

Location is fine, some ten minutes away from the closest station, reasonably near the main station. The bed was very comfortable, although I would've appreciated a socket nearer the bed. The breakfast was great, lots of variety in food, and very delicious. A socket nearer the bed would've been much appreciated.

Location is very convenient to public transportation, reasonable restaurants, supplies, etc. Staff is great. This is our second time, but first time getting only one bed (all the was available) MUCH too tight for two adults. Bed was against a wall, so difficult to get out if you’re stuck in there. Neither room had an outlet near the bed - bad when you use a CPAP machine.

First hotel in Japan that had two comfortable chairs and a decent sized table to eat. Breakfast in the room. Spacious, also nice sized table bathroom. Very gracious staff. Found terrific restaurants within a few blocks that were only filled with locals, so not a tourist, noisy area. Super accessible to public transportation. Not crazy about the nightclothes, strange fabric

The room was a bit small

Comfortable public bath for relaxing.

I chose this place for its location, which is close to the central stations (JR and Hankyu) in Osaka. Additionally, I chose it because it had a shared bath. It met all my expectations, and I particularly appreciated that it was in the part of town with lots of restaurants, too, but at the same time, it did not have the tourist crowds. WIFI was at times spotty but overall it worked well

Tattoos are not allowed in the sauna. The subway is not very close (8-10mins walk)

didnt expect much but this hotel exceeded our expectations. lovely neighborhood and opportunities to interact with locals. didnt know they had an onsen too! spotless clean. massively underrated if anything, if youre carrying luggages, it's a long walk to get there. that's it. i would still love to stay here again
