Hotel Albatros

Great location! Aesthetically challenged with very average quality all throughout.

Nothing We were very disappointed with our stay at Albatros Hotel. Upon arrival, we found a toenail in the bed, which was obviously unsettling. When I brought it to the front desk’s attention, they denied it and claimed everything is sanitized, brushing it off without any apology or effort to make it right. The air conditioner in our room clearly wasn’t working—it was blazing hot at night (85°F / 29°C)—and when we asked for help, a staff member came, said “it’s working,” and left. It wasn’t. My 7-year-old daughter tossed and turned all night from the heat the first night. Second night they brought us a fan. If there’s supposed to be working air conditioning why would we need a fan? The beds were like rocks—and the sheets were literally sandpaper making it incredibly hard and uncomfortable, making it even harder to sleep. Not to mention the staff walks the halls with their carts very early and loud slamming doors. When they set up for breakfast early there are chairs dragging making it impossible to sleep in. In addition the cleaning ladies were yelling at each other while cleaning the room just across the way at 8am. This place needs to really make some changes. The eating area resembles an elementary school cafeteria. Nothing spectacular. I had to do a little work on my vacation and tried their wifi and it’s pretty much non existent so I wasn’t able to work. The hotel is very outdated, not particularly clean, and the staff was not friendly or accommodating. On top of that, it’s not centrally located, which made getting around more difficult. It’s at least a 30 min walk to Pesculose Beach. We travelled for a month all over Europe and Italy and this was by far the worst hotel we stayed. I would not recommend this hotel, especially for families.

Good position, nice balcony, good breakfast. Parking on site. Clean. The frige didn' work properly, no AC in common spaces, (on the stairs and through the hall of the first floor was unbearably hot). No sound-proof. Too expensive for what it offers. And a funny (but unpleasant thing, which denotes carelessness or lack of professionalism) - for tourists who don't understand Italian, even the wifi password has been translated into English on the flyer with instructions

Location, parking, friendly and accommodation staff. Flexible check in. Quiet. Breakfast was good and fresh. Dinner was very good value and typical dishes of the area with wine. Room was small but had everything in it. Nothing else.

Great location by the sea, nice atmosphere and very nice breakfast buffet with every you’d want for a very fair price. Hearing the waves from the bedroom, balcony with sea view. Shower water was a bit cold.

Very close to the best beach.

The property was very clean, lovely breakfast, excellent value and the hotel staff were extremely welcoming. You must try the typical Salento cake at breakfast. Spacious, clean, lovely balconies. Very convenient for the beach and beach clubs.

Proper, clean room, a fantastic staff, authentic Italian dishes, good ambiance.

Very good breakfast. Good dinner at very good price. (20€ pp with 4 dishes and water and wine.) The mattrasses a bit too hard.

Location and beach are amazing. Breakfast is good with many options. A lot of good restaurants in San Gregorio(need a car). The hotel’s restaurant was closed on September. It was specified there is a gym in the hotel. But it’s not. The plumbing needs some repairs. Let say the upper shower didn't work in our room.

Good breakfast We couldn't find a bar to have a drink after 11pm. Most of the places were apparently opened in Google and when we arrived it was closed or even didn't exist.

The hotel is located at the Pescolusa beach, which is very nice, especially for families. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The dinner served at the hotel terrace was exceptional.
