Hotel Gold Beach

The mattress was awful 2 twins put together both wee as hard as cement. Also the sheets were too small and every time you turn or move you hear them ripping. Other than that I loved the place.

The coffee was good, the matress was okay, the AC was working well and the rooms were relatively clean. I must agree after reading all these good reviews, I expected a lot from this hotel! In fact in the end it was rather disappointing. Our „check in“ was 3 minutes. He checked on a list in which room we were and then took us to the room. That was it. There were no informtation given about breakfast, about the beach, about parking and also not that we had to give our ID’s. We had to ask where the parking and the beach was, thinking it was included since we were not given ANY information. We got some beach towels and returned it in the evening, expecting to get new ones in the morning. Again, without any further information! In the morning (after already hiring the towels) the lady told us that it was 6 Euros per towel and additional 5 Euros for every time you want go change it. And we are at a beach hotel! Other then other people, we found the hosts not extremely friendly, the breakfast was very sugary and limited, no ham, no cheese, only sweet breads and sweet (not fresh) juices. In the end of our stay we figured out, that you can order eggs and fruits, but no one gave us this information?! When we figured it out the waitress was keeping her voice very low as if it has to stay a secret that this was an option. That’s a way of saving money… The coffees were good. The picures uploaded are not how the rooms nor the beach really look. The rooms are smaller very dark, there is dirt on the walls and the furniture is really old... The sand on the beach is fine but brown and the sea often is full of dirt, not cristal clear how they are claiming it. It’s definitely not only their chairs nicely aligned at the beach how they show it in the pictures. And be aware, they are also not included in the price, which of course was not said to us in the beginning but at the check out with our bill. This is not a beach front hotel for me… Luckily, the matress was okay, the AC was working well and the rooms were relatively clean.

Loved the hotel staff. It was virtually on the beach. Terrace was magnificent. We got the end room with a double terrace. Breakfast was nice but made nicer by the accommodating staff. There was only one restaurant in walking distance which was more of a beach cafe. The hotel was a bit tired and not as modern as other places we stayed in puglia. It was a 5 minute drive to all the restaurants in Di Leuca.

The location and hotel were great for a relaxing beach holiday. The staff were amazing and accommodating, breakfast was lovely. It definitely defined our great experience in Salento. 100% recommend and would stay again.

Breakfast was lovely and the location was perfect, just beside the beach and near restaurants.

The location was excellent. Very close to the beach. The room had a very strong cleaning product smell. The hotel was empty, large and older property.
