My key kept locking me out every time I stepped out of my room, dead flies in my room as well and the Jacuzzi was not on service.

There really wasn't much I liked. The lady that worked on Saturday at like 4:00 had a bad attitude and told me that I had to pay an extra $120 because booking wasn't working and that's not the fee that they agreed upon so I would have to pay another $120 so I said I'm not paying that. When I got my confirmation for booking she said they don't have to honor that and then she canceled my hotel stay. As per saying above I didn't like the hotel because the lady was rude for the receptionist and she refused to let me check in and said I had to pay another $120 she tried to charge my cash app card which I had locked. You guys are saying that you need proof of this and I don't know how to submit the proof. So now I'm out that $95.97 whatever you charged me for the hotel stay and I didn't get to go to the hotel and it was just supposed to be a leisure thing for my grandchildren to have fun and go swimming but never got to happen.

Manager would not accept our Booking.com reservation nor would she assist to get it resolved. The wall paper is literally peeling off the walls in the 2nd floor hallway. The elevator Indiana Homeland Security permit expired in May 2025. There was a sticky mess on the floor in front of the elevator that after 5 hours did not get cleaned up. The manager did not tell us during check-in when breakfast times were so we missed it by 10 minutes. Most hotels have breakfast until 10 am, theirs ended at 9:30 am. Trash bins outside the hotel were full and remained full our entire stay. Their plants outside or lack there of needed desperate landscaping, especially as the sprinkler was spraying into the parking lot and not the flower bed. This was all compounded by the front desk employee making excuses for the manager the next morning that the manager was going through things as her mother was on hospice. I’m not here to not be unempathetic about that, however, this is business and my stay that I had to pay for the room a second time and endure everything above should not hinge on the manager’s personal life. How would I have known that Fairfield Inn and Suites had been having problems the last two months with Booking.com about getting paid? And that her mother was passing? Trust me. If I had known that it would have been a fiasco getting a refund for one of the payments to the room I stayed in, I would never have stayed, let alone the rest of what I have shared here. Don’t ever try to place guilt on a customer about a dying individual. I never needed to know that about the manager. Incredibly unprofessional.

Staff were amazing! Shy checked us in and she was incredibly informative and friendly. Tracy was also amazing as well! Everything else was okay. The rooms are a little worn down, but it was still decent. Location is great. The rooms are a little worn but still clean. There seemed to be an issue with water on the main level floor leaking everywhere. They were quick about cleaning it up, but it happened a few times. The AC was okay. Not the best. The room felt a little muggy.

The bathroom in room 218 was shabby. The wallpaper was starting to peel and was bulged and wrinkled in other areas. The towels were rough. The refrigerator made sounds during the night so I turned it off. The common rooms were nice, however. Not as nice as the previous Fairfield Inn I stayed at. Im going back to Hampton Inns.

Fairfield Inn did not have our reservation when we arrived. Furthermore, they said they do not accept third-party reservations, and had a sign in front on the desk that said that. Fortunately, the hotels.com people arrange for another hotel, the Bayport, in Mishawaka, that was very good, and the people were very accommodating there. You need to take this Fairfield in off your list

The front desk staff needs more training on customer care management and they need to be familiar with their system!

The Coffee that it that’s alll Upon check in they told me I could not use a Third Party and had to cancel my reservation with Bookings. com and do a reservation with them I was already tired and frustrated because once I got close the map kept taking us in circles we did that for 30 min because no one would answer the phone so we could find it then went to the room and it was nasty and I had to clean it myself and yes I took pictures and was glad I did because the GM heard I was upset about the room then waited till the moment I was checking out and tried to say I needed to pay them a deposit for my small dog so I told her I asked if I could have the dog and was told yes by the check in person and if I had to pay extra and he said I was fine so I’m quite upset if anything they owe me money for the inconvenience of canceling my reservation and cleaning my own room I would never stay at that one again the GM attitude was terrible and the other day check out person was as well they tried to double team me about the dog and then once I came back with my phone to show them what my room looked like when I walked in there changed all that but it’s sad I had to go thru that I was there to decorate an event and had to work extra because of their lazy staff other people there had the same type of complaints one lady said her bed wasn’t even made it was a terrible experience.look at the bug in the photo , dirty toilet, nasty bath tub , soap fell off the wall … So Dissapointed!!

Hotel refused reservation said they won’t get paid and they don’t take any 3rd party reservations. So we had to go somewhere else, it was late, and we couldn’t win with the front desk.

Brutal. Rude manager Leslie not willing to even attempt to accommodate guests in any way. No house keeping for 4 days after a number of requests. “Breakfast” was a joke even non existent…biscuits and bacon one morning. Eggs when they tried were discusting. Don’t bother going here. Overpriced one star hotel. I can’t believe this is a Marriott property. So poorly ran by rude staff.

The property itself was good, but we were told because we booked through a third-party site they required a $100 deposit. We paid it and usually when staying in hotels I see the deposit returned within a couple days. It took three weeks, three calls to the hotel and two calls to Marriot corporate to get it refunded. The staff at the hotel kept telling me she was going to do it and call me back, she never called back. One day after I spoke with Marriot Customer Service it was refunded in my bank account. I feel like they hope people will just forget about it and they keep the money.

Fairfield didn't live up to its promise. No eggs for breakfast. The place is a disgrace to the Marriot brother's name. The place is undercapitalized.

So many challenges with the hotel. The management tried to remedy each problem so I tried to look past the issue. However, a day after we returned home my wife and I experienced bed bug bites!!!!!!! Holy smokes! Have been itching for days. Went make and took a deeper look at the reviews and learned that many other guests also mentioned getting bed bugs after their stay. With that, we won’t need to stay here again; so many other experiences are simply NOT the Marriott way, but hard stop at bed bugs. This hotel needs an ENTIRE overhaul and remodel if ever to succeed. Do NOT be lured by the convenience, great rate or the fact that this is a Marriott property—-if you book here you will be disappointed on so many levels.

The linens & such were clean. The breakfast area was well kept, though we ended up eating out after looking over the 'buffet'. The hotel itself needs a lot of work. Peeling wallpaper everywhere! The elevator is quite dirty. Mold in our room's bathroom on the wall & ceiling. Toilet seat was wobbly. The sidewalk entry into the building, as well as the exterior are cracked & crumbling. After seeing all that we were not even going to try the pool. Overall, it was an ok stay for the price. But, I wouldn't likely stay here again.

The staff was nice and professional. The first room they gave us was clean but the air conditioner made a loud clanking sound so they were nice and found us another room, the second room looked clean but it had a strange odor. The whole property is in desperate need of updating.
-
Biggest problem was that they do not accept reservations through Expedia even though the property is on the Expedia site. Do not reserve a room here through Expedia!!!
-
Reservation was canceled

I don’t think I can use your website or recommend it since this experience was very difficult and disappointing.

however, the batteries in the TV remote were dead so I tried calling 3-4 times about getting them replaced & was told that the employee can't leave the desk to bring them to me, no biggie I went & got them. when I went to take a shower there was no shampoo or body wash in the shower, of course I discovered this when I was already in the process of my shower & if the employee can't leave the desk... that was a much bigger inconvenience. there was a very large mustard stain on the comforter, the toilet seat was not properly tightened so it moved every time you sat down & the once flushed the toilet- you could hear the water run very loudly, all night long.
