From the very first night, I began waking up with severe allergies, skin irritation, and rashes after sleeping in the bed. By the end of the stay, I had broken out into hives multiple times each morning and night. The condition of the room and bedding appeared poorly maintained and unclean, which made the situation even worse. For a Sheraton property, I expected a much higher standard of cleanliness and guest care. Instead of being able to enjoy the wedding weekend, I spent much of the trip uncomfortable and dealing with allergic reactions. I hope management takes cleanliness and room inspections more seriously moving forward so future guests do not experience the same issue.

Everything about this property was perfect for our stay as our grandson was born and had to stay in the hospital several days. Would like to say a special thanks to Kassra at the front desk for being so helpful and for keeping our little guy in his prayers. Also a shout out to Chris, Austin and Reece in the Sweetwater Bar, they were also amazing! We will definitely be back!!

Great spot! The A/C in the room didn’t work well. After some investigation I found that the rerun filter was plugged up. Very humid in the room because it wasn’t moving air and not cooling.

My wife fell in front of the reception because someone had dropped chocolate - staff didn’t clean up what’ was in front of them till someone got hurt, minimal empathy to help , follow up .

Such a friendly check-in person, it was refreshing someone actually saying good morning or goodnight.

Large room. Great beds. Wine fridge nice touch. Plenty of seating.

Our bed was dirty. We didn’t notice till after we left and came back.

We stayed two nights in a Jr. Suite, and it was lovely. Spacious and quiet, even though we were close to the elevator. We were pleased overall with our stay and also added on the breakfast buffet which was nice.

Great place, very accommodating. Bartenders are fantastic (give them a raise) they both went over and beyond.

Check in was super simple. Room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. I love fluffy pillows. Coffee was good and super easy stay. Very happy.

My daughter and I had dinner at the bar on Monday, 3/16. We were there from just after our check in (probably 7:30-8:00 pm) until after 10:00 pm. We had a very emotionally, physically, and mentally draining 10 days in McKinney and needed a break. For the time we spent at the bar, enjoying cocktails, wine, and dinner (the wings were fabulous!!!), Chris and Austin treated us like family members, allowing us an escape from a reality we never thought we would be dealing with. We would like to thank these two for the conversation and laughter. It was a much needed respite. We are truly grateful. Chris and Austin had no idea what we had been through, but delivered exactly what was needed in the moment!

Only regret is we stayed only one night!

We stayed in the suite which was large and comfortable. We enjoyed the extra space in the bathroom.

My husband and I had a very peaceful stay. The staff were incredibly kind and courteous. The hotel is very convenient and the snack bar came in handy, as we had forgotten to get drinks and snacks on our way back to the hotel. The room was also very tidy. We highly recommend this location and we will absolutely be back for our next trip!

My room was clean and quiet. It was an easy process. I was interested in trying their breakfast until I saw the price tag. I was aware from the beginning it was a separate purchase. However, if a bowl of Lucky Charms cost $7 then that tells me the other options are probably priced way too high for the quality being offered.

Everyone was very courteous and the facility was nice. The rooms in particular though needed some improvement. There wasn't sufficient water pressure and, of the five nights, we only had hot water on two days. The other days, the shower water was just warm. Also, Expedia lists the breakfast fee as $15, it's $20. May not seem a lot but for three each day, it adds up.

We called the hotel at 9:30 am and were told that early check-in at 12:00 was approved by Jennie. When we arrived to check in at 12:30, we were told by Michael that we could not check in early. He further stated that since we made our reservation through a 3d party (Expedia) that we could not get priority. We then found Jennie and she stated that the room had been ready, but found the room had been given to someone else. The only two people at the desk were Michael and Jennie. Michael then stated that he would call when the room was ready. We left and after not received a phone call, we called at 2:15 and the room was ready. Jennie was very nice, but Michael was a jerk!

The only thing missing was a charging station for electric cars.

Out dated . Went to buy coffee employees didn’t know how to use new coffee machine. Which we had to pay for it. Didn’t offer complimentary coffee like other Marriot hotels that we been to .

They did not want to honor my breakfast i bought through the app. They were very rude amd condescending, even after showing my booking. KP specifically was rude to me. After that employee said he would do his best to have it figured out. I checked with a second employee later in the day who said it was taken care of - when xhexk out morning comes and i have been charged by the hotel for the breakfast again. The same person that i verified with was working so i went to him and him and the other employee working couldnt figure out how to refund. He then, without saying anything, just started to help the person behind me. When he finished with them he came back to me and eventually figured it out. Very rude staff. The food/view/beds/rooms were great. Pool was very dirty. Overall rude interactions.

This was our 2nd time staying here and we just love it. Everyone is so nice, the rooms are so clean, and its quiet.

We stayed two days to attend my niece’s wedding. Not just me we booked about 10 rooms. We didn’t get hot water on Friday but rest are good.

My room lacked a few supplies normally there. Bed was excellent. Room is good size. All in all id stay again.

There was an issue with getting into our rooms which was OK but then we noticed that people who came in after us were getting their rooms before we did. Two of us asked about the rooms and finally one of our party went to the desk and confronted them about the room and one appeared. I was never able to use the internet. My only choice was MarriottBonvoy but it wasn’t a secure network and wasn’t the guest one. There was no phone in the room. OK I get it, but there was no information about the hotel or phone numbers. Very frustrating. I couldn’t search for restaurants or look at emails. Again frustrating. I had a problem with the blow dryer and requested a new one. I was told one would be brought to my room. It never came. I was able to figure out why the previous one stopped working and fixed the problem. I was not overly impressed.

Arrival signage for the property, reception & parking is TERRIBLE; virtually non-existent! Especially for evening arrival.

I booked and paid for in advance a Jr. Suite. My husband was having surgery and we would be recuperating there. When we arrived to check in there were no suites available at all. I have notified Expedia. I have not as of yet received any kind of refund.

I only have one complaint. Showed up about 7 for checkin. Was notified that they did not have any king rooms left, even though that’s what I reserved. I’m 6’4 and I really need a king, especially when traveling with my wife. Was told there was nothing could be done, other than free breakfast voucher. Not sure how a reservation is overlooked, and room given away.

I got charged more than what I was told I’d get charged and when I asked the lady at the front desk why that happened. She was beating around the bush about the charge. She first said it was because I booked it from a third party website. And then she changed her mind and said it is for incidentals and when I want to get snacks or breakfast. They already charged me for the overpriced breakfast which they didn’t inform of either. The guy from the night before simply said “breakfast is available “ and didn’t mention you have to pay for it. So now I got charged for some incidental that she said I would get refunded but I never did and I also got the hidden fee of breakfast. Will make sure to not book at Sheraton again.

Staff is very nice, but the rooms are old. We stayed during the ice storm and couldn’t get the room to cool off at all. The hotels heat was on and it was apparent that you were getting heat in your room no matter what. As far as I could tell, they do not offer queen beds only double. And those double beds are tiny! There’s no was a couple could sleep in a double. They’re located just off the freeway, however, the access is ridiculously difficult to get to if you’re coming from the north or west. Overall I’d give 2 stars and NOT stay there again.

Trip was canceled due to weather, was told Sheraton would not refund stay by hotels.com. Refund Policy is terrible.

Food and drinks at the Sweet Water Grill in-house restaurant are amazing. Chris and Liz are friendly attentive, talented and they make a mean Old Fashioned cocktail.

Faced few issues initially with this property.

The staff were amazing!! My bed linens were stained with bodily fluids. When I checked out, I showed the picture of the sheets, and addressed my concern. I was informed a manager would look into it. I have not received communication since regarding the issue!

Great place to stay?

What an absolutely delightful placeto stay at! The staff was incredibly knowledgeable and made me feel right at home with their outstanding customer service. I truly felt like I never left my comfort zone. A heartfelt thank you to everyone for making it such a memorable experience!

After confirming my reservation directly with the hotel staff, my room was given away. It is a very busy weekend due ti the Fair. We were left steanded with no where to stay It was the worse experience ever

This is a pleasant surprise. Though it looks a little dated on the outside, the inside is very very nice. I was surprised at the accommodations.

The hotel did not honor the room selection I made even though I paid in advance. I also chose breakfast included in the package I purchased from Hotels.com but I was charged each day for the breakfast.

It didn't seem as though the AC was working properly at times, especially at night. I can understand during the day with the extreme heat and temperatures but at night it should work properly.

The Key System was down so we had to wait until someone take us up to our Room. When got inside our room. I had to visit the restroom. Noticed that it was poop underneath the seat of the toilet that look as if it was there far more than a week.

The Sheraton McKinney is a nice hotel. It was easy to get to and there was ample parking.
