B&B LA GEMMA DEI SASSI

The accommodation was phenomenal. Clean, has heating, very spacious, stone ceiling, as if you are part of the whole atmosphere in Matera. The very kind host provided me with all maps and instructions, and helped with parking. And breakfast for ten, all typical for that area and in abundance! The historical center and Sassi are only one street away.

Nice place to explore Matera, very close to everything. Nicola recommendations were great.

Basically everything but especially: - very kind and helpful owner Nicola who sent us and gave us a detailed map with a route on what to visit and was better than any tourist guide we could imagine - great location, only around 2min away from the beginning of the Sassi and near the best restaurants - cute, comfortable and authentic rooms - nice breakfast The sound isolation could be better - our downstairs neighbours had a lenghty conversation at 5am and woke us up, but this could also be attributed to their loud speaking (and really bad timing!).

What was perfect in this location can be said in three words: - the host, who is very frendly, gives the guest plenty of information about visiting Matera and prepares nice breakfast, - location is five minutes from the best view and starting point to old Matera, - location for safely and easy storage of your bicycle - if traveling with them;

10 min walk from the city center, the breakfast was plentiful, free parking nearby. The host gave us all the information about Matera where to go and what to see. We stayed in the room 3 and the WiFi signal was bad and slow :(

Great information from the host. He really set us up to see the important sights. Everything clean and comfortable. Very comfortable bed and pillows. Wi-Fi not great.

Good location, easy to walk to the main attractions. It was clean and spacious. Nice breakfast and very helpful host who explained very clearly how to get around Matera and what to see. His information was excellent.

Excellently located B&B, a short walk to the Sassi. Our room was spotless, the air conditioning excellent to keep us cool and breakfast was plentiful. The area around the B&B is quiet and we had no issues finding street parking. Would recommend this B&B when visiting Matera Nothing!

The best part is the host himself! He helped us find a free parking nearby, he provided the whole itinerary for visiting the city, gave us helpful tips for next day visits, suggested great restaurants -

The room was clean with excellent WiFi. Walking distance to the center and a reasonable amount of free parking within the area. And a wonderful breakfast made by lovely hosts. It was perfect ? no complaints here!

We had a very nice stay in La Gemma dei Sassi. The location was perfect, walking distance to the city center. Free parking around the building. Breakfast was good and the host was very kind and friendly.

The hosts were amazing. They invited us to come a bit earlier just to help us find our way around the city. Helped us find parking, prepared everything in detail. It was perfect Couldn't fault it

Nicola is an amazing host. Provided a detailed tour package, map, written instructions. Then walked us through them. We had to leave early on our second day. Nicola came in early7:30 to get our breakfast. Which was much better than advertised on Booking.com. Plus his spouse cleaned our room to a level of cleanliness one only sees in hospitals. This b&b is beyond a perfect 10. Nada
