It was exactly as I expected, the previous reviews highlighted the location and the view, and it was perfect and perfectly located There was nothing I didn’t like about the property

Staff was professional and courteous. Breakfast was delicious. The view was spectacular. Short walk to the sassi. Long walk from the parking garage with even one small duffel bag. Didn't like having the shower right next to the bed with zero privacy.

Absolutely beautiful property in a wonderful location very close to the sassi area. Breakfast was delicious and varied as was the fresh coffee served. The beds were very comfortable and the staff were extremely friendly. I will make it a point to return and will stay at this property again. It was unfortunate we only had 1 night. Excellent location, well maintained room nice breakfast The room is certainly small. Bathroom is adequate. It is well designed given the parameters. Would have appreciated information when checked in that GPS does not work well when you were walking around the town. Though I received a paper map this would’ve been very helpful.

The experience of staying in the caves was amazing. Facility was amazing, clean and great views. All staff was super kind and friendly. Welcoming Had an issue with connecting to WiFi in our room but we are staying in a cave. lol.

The staff was amazing. The location could not have been better. Breakfast was perfect. The cave room was the highlight! Matera is a must see city. Words and photos do not begin to describe the uniqueness of this area. Nothing! Everything was perfect!

Il Belvedere is a magical place. First of all, you are right in the middle of the old part of Matera. When you get out of the hotel, you can basically start your Sassi tour. The staff is very kind and helpful. Breakfast is great and you can have it on the outside with an amazing view of Matera. We stayed in the comfort room which was very spacious and nice. We were there in February and the room was very well heated. If you go by car, there is a private parking 3 minutes walking distance to the hotel. If I ever get the chance to visit Matera again, Il Belvedere is definitely the place I will stay. Thank you for a wonderful time! Nothing everything was perfect.

The cave room was absolutely beautiful and very comfortable. The terrace offered incredible views, and it was so nice being in the Sassi. The breakfast was good and the staff was lovely. Everything was great.

The property was easy to find, great staff and had a wonderful stay. We would stay here again and definitely recommend. Location, staff, view.
