The location was good for getting to the center of the Old Town. There was an elevator. Room was clean. Breakfast was good. I feel like this was false advertising. It said it was a cave type hotel and it wasn't at all. The pictures and reviews don't match up. I even wondered if I was in the correct hotel except for the fact that they had my name. The picture of the breakfast room is cave like on the booking.com website but in reality, it is a modern room. Our room, number 107, didn't have any WiFi so I had to go to the common area to look things up. Our breaker kept triggering when we used the bathroom light with the blower. The receptionist told us how to reset it, but we lost power a dozen times. It makes me nervous that there was a short in the wiring. Also, I paid for a balcony room and as you can see by the picture, there was no balcony. A disappointment.

Renovated and clean room, enough spacious. The annex place is reached by a staircase of about a hundred meters. Not easy with big luggage, and no porter service offered.

92 stairs impossible for a 70 plus !!! The location was different!! We felt cheated

Location is good. Clean and fresh. No drive up parking to drop off bags. The parking lot is close by but you will need to drag bags across some cobblestones. To be fair, at least the path is flat from parking lot to hotel (except few steps) which is very hard to find within old matera.

The room is accessible by a descending street with about 40 stairs, so if you have large luggage it is difficult to get it there.

Perfect, central location in a quiet square and right next to the "Sassi" area Absolutely disappointing. The front desk is only open till 10pm, and they charge you a fee for "late" check-in. Breakfast is incredibly limited in options and poor quality. Staff is clearly inexperienced and inadequate to the service level expected. On top of that, many many small details show carelessness and negligence: loose safe box, finished candle jars with no matches, empty fridge, no bathroom tissues, slippery bathtub floor, etc. Only the room rate was in line with what you'd expect for a suite in a 4* hotel, i.e. expensive but unfortunately not justified at all.

We love how clean and spacious our room was, the bathroom facilities were very good, clean and spacious. The room has very good air conditioning. Breakfast was also good and adequate. The room door was located along the street. When you open the door, the people from the street can actually see the bed. But that doesn’t reflect the other locations of the other rooms in the hotel. That was the only room in the hotel that is along side the street.

A good experience if you’re redy to climb the old stone stairs and paved streets of Beautiful Matera.

The location was great, the room was spacious, Staff at the reception was nice The service at the breakfast ruined our stay. We stayed for two nights and both separate ladies were really rude to us. It was just awful. It’s a shame bc the hotel is really nice but things like this can just overturn the whole experience

Location Staff was unsufficient

Everything was tidy and clean. Location was very convenient. I didn’t like the mattress. It was very firm so my back hurt when I woke up.
