The location is DEEP medina, which is very noisy and crowded but the room on the third floor was very quiet. The room and bathroom were clean but appeared dirty due to old discolored caulking. If you want to really experience the medina from the inside with no sugar coating, this is the place for you. The price was a fraction of everywhere else we looked. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The terrace/balcony is nice but the view is not. We did not realize until the last day that we had access to a frig and modest kitchen on the terrace. It took a day or two for us to acclimate but in the end we really enjoyed it. I would do it again but be prepared for the true-to-medina rawness of the place. At first I was shocked at how run down the place is. Terrace House is a 5 minute walk from where we were told to check in which was a little disoriented. The bathroom is the shower. There is a drain on the floor that drains very slowly so there is standing water during a shower. I hope it doesn't leak into the room below. The water was warm, not hot. Water pressure is low. The room is tiny with very little ventilation, like I imagine most places in the medina. In fact the place is an exact reflection of the rest of the medina. Not for schoolmarm sensitivities.

bed bugs, hard to find

It was located 5 minutes from the main square, so in the centre, but if you are a light sleeper, the noise from the street could bother you. Amazing breakfast

The beds were comfortable and the room was clean. You could go upstairs on the terrace and enjoy some sun in the center of the city. The shower hose was broken and there was no water pressure, so taking a shower was very difficult. The owner was informed about this issue and did nothing. There was a window in our room leading to the common area, so everyone could look into our room. The second window was leading to the busy street and it was very loud every night, because the window wasn't sound-proof at all.

Don't book the Sahara tour here or anywhere else for that matter, huge disappointment. Checking in is a hassle having to go to a different location first to get the keys to the place you sleep. No hot water, broken fan, terrible pressure for showering, not enough toilet roll at times. The automatic lighting in the stairwell is dangerous when it decides not to turn on.

Very cute, little, traditional and simple house in the middle of Medina, authentic experience. The staff was exceptionally helpful, kind and caring, was there for me if I needed anything. He arranged taxi and an early breakfast. This is a budget place and it's of a decent value if you don't want to stay in the hostel. Overall I really liked it and for a short budget stay would take it over a hostel. The window opened into the Medina street and therefore it was quite noisy until about midnight, then after it was quiet. The bathroom is shared with another room, but it is clean and functional, and the shower was great. I was the only one there so it was no issue.

I would not recommend it. We only stayed one night and it's good that it's the only option. We booked after reading a lot of good reviews, but I don't really know who is comfortable staying here... students and locals maybe? First of all, the picture is one thing, but in reality everything is different - there is little space, it is cramped. The hostel is located on a very busy shopping street, there are no signs. This is not a problem, because the night before the host contacts you, you come to another hotel-riad and are taken to this place. Second, it is very dirty. Thirdly, it is really noisy, up to 2-3 hours at night, then the mopeds start driving from five-thirty in the morning ... I've tried sleeping with earplugs..but generally it hasn't worked very well. And fourthly, it might not be an inconvenience for everyone, but you share the bathroom and toilet with another room, it's OK. But the only sink for washing is in the communal area/room - everything is visible, everything is audible, and there is also a camera there, so the people in the camera can see you washing, shaving, etc. In general I wouldn't recommend this place, for the same money you can find at least a cleaner hostel.

They provided the wrong address, making it difficult to find. The hostel building had no name, which I believe might be illegal.

Medina house. 100% local. Nice. Noisy.

the room was pretty, really nice and kind lady made us breakfast and they put two books in our room, one in my mother language and one in mother language of my travel partner, which i thought was really cute<3

The location is right in the middle of excitement. There are two terraces, rooms have air con. But the most exceptional were the staff. I had a bad experience elsewhere and they managed to get me to love Morocco again. Very friendly and helpful! And the price is affordable. Would book again? There’s also a fridge on the terrace to keep your water or chocolate cold Just know that it is a budget accomodation, but I like to see other people where I’m staying ?

Could be noisy at night

Great Location, good aircon in the rooms Great terrace, only 3 rooms in the property, so almost like having a private terrace!

The host was wonderful and available to resolve all our problems. The position is perfect to visit the city, it's right in the middle of the market.
-
The terrace which was the best part of the stay. The typical stay in the middle of the Medina which was so funny… The room and bathroom were a bit too small, but this was normal as we decided to stay in the middle of the old city. And actually it was perfect for us that didn’t brought any luggages. The are many stairs are quite narrow.

Absolutely brilliant stay at terrace house 88. Central location, right in the middle of the bustling and vibrant medeina. I had the double room, nice big comfy bed. The host, Abdoulla was superb, extremely accommodating. He sorted all my tours and showed me the best places to eat. I will definitely stay here again when I return to beautiful Marrakech.
