Super 8 by Wyndham League City/Kemah Area

The area was quiet and convenient to get to local stores and restaurants. The staff were very helpful after I locked myself out of my room. However, the scent of the room and hallway took some time to get used too based on the carpet cleaner fragrance. And my room had roaches.

Affordable, clean, and friendly staff. A/C in room nice and cold! Quiet building! Slept good! Conveniently located around Kemah shopping, entertainment, etc.

Affordable, and easy to check in and out . They had limited breakfast options but they were still good ! A good location near shopping centers.

Parking was very convenient and well lit. Breakfast wasn’t that great but coffee was hot and Cracker Barrel was right across the parking.

Great parking, the Personal at the hotel is kindly very efficient and make all efforts to bring you an unforgettable stay.

The confidence to the hospital clinic MDA and that they did have breakfast with room. That the refig in room froze everything. I have to take a special milk with me because that is the only milk I can drink without it hurting me. It was in my glass bottle so the refig broke the glass bottle and poured out of refig. Unfortunately the king size bed was so lumpy and hard me and mom didn’t sleep well. This hotel has a second floor but no elevator if going to 2nd had to take stairs

And despite all the other reviews here and other websites stating it, we did not see a single insect in all 3 rooms we booked. No bite marks after waking up, no crawlers or anything. The bathrooms also appear to be newly renovated, shower/bath was easily the best part of the room.

We liked that it was close to our business location that we were doing business. We didn’t like how there was a live cockroach in our room and hand prints on the painting above the bed. There was also stains on the wall and lamp by the bed. The shower head also could not be moved lower, so my wife had to shower very close to the wall.

The price was different (more than advertised)bed not comfortable.

Bed was hard/ stiff. Bed cover looked dirty. Room had a smell. Breakfast buffet, although free, it was lacking any protein options (scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage) and offered only sugary carbs.

Clean room. Clean towels. Spacious. Clean area. Walk to convenience store and Cracker Barrel. Breakfast is minimal. No fruit. Actually, I would not call it breakfast. Breakfast snack, maybe.

This hotel is close to MD Anderson where we need to go once a month. There are many good restuarants near by. Also, we were having a problem with one of our tires on a recent visit. Nearby was a Discount Tire Shop that took care of us. Room was clean, bed was comfortable and parking lot was well lit. TV has been upgraded. Staff is always accommodating and friendly.

The rooms are clean. There redoing all the rooms. The staff are very quiet and don't say much. Glad they found my husband's phone and put it up after calling his son. We picked it up after we got back in port 18 days later.

Location The outside could use some love (looks nothing like the listing picture), and the inside is a bit dated, the room (119) was very clean looking but I ended up with a row of bed bug bites. Very clean bathroom.

Easy to access on and off of Interstate with a Cracker Barrel a short walk away. Nice comfy room and surprisingly quite since the Interstate is close by. No complaints.

Continental breakfast: Coffee ends at 9 a.m. There was a very good taco stand just across the street behind the office. There was an Asian restaurant nearby and a busy Waffle House. Will stay there again but would prefer a room in a different part of the facility.

Clean room very quiet an relaxing

The staff was fantastic, the room was nice and clean but smelled like wet carpet or a wet towel. The soaps were half full for the shower which was kinda weird. We also had a german cockroach crawl onto my sandwhich and another climb out from behind the wall decoration. We saw one crawling in the breakfast area near the pool and vending machine. The bed only has those werid covers that feel plastic and sheets but not a comforter, it was also not very comfortable, i could feel the coils when i got onto the bed. The breakfast had zero proteins, just cereal, waffles, coffee, toast, juice and milk. The pool looks nice, and they have laundry facilites. For the price and short notice it did the job.

the bed was horrible and so uncomfortable. you could feel every single spring and there was a giant dent at the bottom of the bed. very, very limited breakfast options. just toast, waffle and coffee basically. 0/10 would not recommend.

The staff tried to be helpful. The rooms. We had to be transferred to another room because of the smell of musk and mildew. We went to another room and the tv and phone did not work. There were cockroaches on the first floor. The feeling of dirtiness was hard to shake off. The hotel has 3 floors with no elevator. We had to carry our belongings to our room.

Big bed and able to check in early. Breakfast selection. Mini fridge ruined my leftovers and my fruit. Room smelled mildew. Back door was tapped over for anyone to walk in didnt feel secure.

The staff were friendly, courteous and helpful. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Not applicable Everything was as it needed it to be.

The stay was pleasant.. I was happy to find a place that could hold my entire family in 1 room! I had never experienced a room with 3 queen beds! The breakfast had waffles and assortment of cereal! It was great! The exterior was nice as well as the little garden out by the parking lot. It was fantastic to see while I was walking in the parking lot.

Had to go up stairs as repairs were all downstairs. staff was friendly.

The keys were off and on working the two nights we were there.

Staff was very nice and it's in a decent location in League City.

Bathroom floor was wet and couldn't figure out where it was coming from. I guessed it was from the toilet. Staff helped by providing towels and that kept the floor dry in front of the toilet. Oh, they offered another room, but my roommate didnt want to move.

Where can I start off stayed here for two nights there were a couple of roaches when I first walked in, noticed on the door and also in the restroom. Also noticed that the toilet wasn’t fully clean the breakfast was so so also the room was quite big, but it could’ve been more maintenance or clean thoroughly because I noticed there was belongings from the previous occupants on top of the microwave, signaling to me that this hotel room was at fully clean or inspected

It’s what you’d expect from a Super 8! It was in a fairly nice neighborhood. It was very convenient that we were able to book a room with three queen beds as a family of 5. Only complaint was the carpet was kind dirty.

The room had roaches and bugs. Was treated by these people like some kind trash. I asked about extending, 80$ one night then the second night would 120$. So I left after complaining about the room and then telling 2 prices for two different days. Don't stay there! The people that run it are ridiculous.

I really didn't like anything but the price, so I got what I paid for... It said breakfast but only have sliced bread, jelly, waffle, OJ stale cereal with milk that tasted nothing like milk and thermos with milk was dirty. I said unsafe because you're supposed to get in on the back side of the building with a card but it's never locked the door has tape so that it never closes I was alone and near them doors so I felt very unsafe and barely slept with people walking back and forth stomping on the floor.... 😡 I called the front desk they tell me nobody is in the room above me but they will check once they hang up 1 minute later the nose stops 😡

Great location and close to the marinas in League City, Kemah and Seabrook. Plenty of shopping and dining options and NASA is very close by. The indoor pool is small but the water was clean.

The room door has been broken into at some point, wood putty was used to rebuild it.

Stay a weekend and enjoy our little get away with family

Staff were rude when asked about card not opening door , people arguing with manager over issues and nothing was done .

The first thing we see is a small cockroach on the bed then another one on the wall to me it looks like it’s infested with those creatures but hey what do you expect for a cheap hotel!!! Never again

I was disappointed in the breakfast. There was no fruit or real fruit juice, and the room had roaches. They offered another room, but that room smelled moldy. They asked where I saw the roaches, and I told them the areas. They sprayed those areas, but the roaches just appeared on the other side of the room.

Just of interstate. Well light. Good near. Near residential area.

Front desk was a little rude and our first room had a roach crawling across the bed. They moved us but we were no longer comfortable.

Mr. Patel was very courteous and made check in a breeze. The room was so nice and clean as was the rest of the facilities. As an older single lady I felt very safe and will be staying there again as the need arises

Checking in was very easy, desk clerk was nice. Our keys lost their program a couple of times for a one night stay. The hallway smelled like cigarette smoke. The room was decent and there were plenty of towels, though we did have a roach near the sink the next morning. The “comforter” was extremely thin and the material it was made of caused it to constantly slide off us all night. Coffee and breakfast was nice.

Got bit by some bugs in our sleep

The bathtub was grimy, hadn't been cleaned recently. It had a rubber mat in it that had someone else's hair stuck on it. The toilet was too low for a man to sit on. The beds and carpet were clean and comfortable. The breakfast bar was filthy and roaches were coming out from underneath the soft drink machine in the lobby. The front desk clerk was too busy scrolling on his phone to address the issues, saying "...someone will clean it after while..."

It was a great stay for us. My kids and I were all happy with the family suite (three queen beds). Not the newest BUT clean and spacious. They also had a futon. Vanity area was great. No bugs ECT. Bathroom was clean. Would come back.

Over all it’s a horrible experience. There was no elevator, so if someone has luggages, will be in hell to bring it up using stairs. It says breakfast included. But literally, there is no breakfast. The owner is not flexible, he will get your money!

Had an issue with an item in the room and it was corrected when we returned that evening. All in all, an alright hotel. Close to restaurants, room was clean. If you wanted to entertain, this is not the place, but to lay your head down after a busy day visiting family, this will do fine. The inconvenient part is no elevator. Dont pack heavy!

Very quiet and staff very nice and room clean

When we pulled up a piece of the guttering was zip tied to a pole in front of the building that was falling down. We got to our room the carpet was damp and it smelt it like mold and sour in the room. The people at the hotel barely spoke to us. We're no help at all. Very dissatisfied we'll never stay there again

Clean and convenient

I’m a single mom and I brought my teenage daughter on a little vacation to the area for 4th of July. I love that the room access is all inside for security. They have cameras monitoring the parking lot. The room was clean and smelled fresh. The indoor pool was immaculate as well. We had a problem with the shower head and even though it was fairly late at night when we noticed it, the staff had it replaced in a few minutes. It is conveniently located close to I-45 and just a short 15 minutes to the beach. They serve a continental breakfast with waffles, but Cracker Barrel, Waffle House, Taco Bell and a gas station (late night snacks) are within walking distance. My biggest praise is for the staff! They are all so gracious, hardworking and go out of their way to ensure guests have everything needed.

They charged me afterwards for what i still don't know. They weren't pet friendly either.

The room has everything I want such as good working air conditioner,little fridge,coffee machine,and a microwave.

Easy access to rooms.

This place is an absolute health hazard. Not only did we encounter roaches, but the amount of mold in the bathroom as well as the air conditioning unit is unsafe to inhale even for a short amount of time. The minute we entered the lobby we could smell marijuana and the employee appeared to be under the influence. The hallway smelled like cigarettes, but worst all, when we entered our room we were hit with an overwhelming smell of mold and mildew. Luckily we are only there a few hours to sleep before my son’s procedure at the hospital nearby. I would have rather slept in my vehicle than subjected myself and my son to such unhealthy conditions. Do yourself a favor and forego this establishment!

We chose this hotel as a place to stay on our way to Galveston to our cruise. It was much cheaper than places close to the port. Only 30 minute drive to port. Breakfast simple and place was clean.

Room was nice and clean. It was very quiet. Bed was comfortable. Staff was friendly and accommodating. They had breakfast but we did not eat because of time restraint. We did not swim but the pool was indoor and very clean. If my children would have been with us we would have. Definitely will stay again.

The lies from the staff

I think it needs to be mentioned there is no elevator at this 2 story hotel. The evening check in person could be friendlier. The morning person was a bit friendlier. I definitely would never stay here again. I was taking a cruise and had large luggage that had to be lugged up the stairs!

Everything went great except the breakfast selections were very limited.

Most things were fine, except for the lack of hot water in the morning and the broken washer.

The breakfast was rice crispies and waffles. Not much. Not even orange juice or banana. Not impressed. Otherwise, I have stayed there a couple times before, and it is nice. I would like a bit more breakfast.

Our room was much bigger than we expected as we reserved a studio. Beds were pretty comfortable. Area seemed safe. Very limited options for breakfast but we made it work.

Decent rooms. Did not see any bugs as are mentioned in other reviews. Staff was not particularly friendly at check in or check out. Breakfast was extremely limited. One waffle iron for whole motel. We gave up waiting after 20 minutes and just went out for breakfast. Lots of other options in the area, would not stay again in future.

It was a great stay. My family and I enjoyed the room we were in. We were able to get from places we went to with easy access the traffic was tolerated. We were on a weekend trip to go to Kemah Amusement Park (Boardwalk). A lot of eating places around Cracker Barrel right behind the hotel. It was a great area not bad at all for the price. I was really pleased!
