The breakfast and dinner buffet was good with a variety of selections. We were able to try out Nigerian dishes. The staff were very helpful and courteous. The rooms were clean, and the beds were comfortable. There was an issue with the water warming up, but as soon as we let them know, they fixed it. The à la carte menu prices are almost as high as the buffet, forcing one to just have the dinner buffet.

I had a pleasant stay at Protea Hotel Lagos. The rooms were clean and comfortable, making the stay very relaxing. The nightlife band was very entertaining and added great energy to the atmosphere. Overall, it was an enjoyable experience and I would recommend the hotel to others.

The location and proximity to the international airport as well as the Shoprite Shopping Mall nearby makes it an excellent choice for me.

The hotel is well located in the Ikeja area. It's conveniently close to the airport, business areas, and shopping centers. The room was comfortable overall. The breakfast was good (though not so varied). Most of the staff was very friendly, helpful and courteous at all times. I liked the daily provision of coffee, tea, and water. Some of the furniture is already dated or visibly damaged (like the wardrobe, the wooden frame of the bathroom, the curtain rods). The pillows were too soft for my liking and seemed already very tired. The provision of towels was inconsistent; at times I was having hand towels, other times big body towels only. Something I found really strange is that the side lamp was connected to the spotlights right over the bed, so the purpose of having a warm, indirect light not hitting the eyes was completely defeated.

Staffs were very welcoming. Poor continental dishes choice! Unstable Wi-Fi! I used my personal Wi-Fi the entire stay. Poor TV entertainment channels! Poor quality! Musty, suffocating smell in the corridor on the 1st floor. Not a very clean room (115)

The staff were brilliant and went out of their way to make me feel right at home in the hotel. Exceptionally attentive and courteous. The breakfast was amazing and the chefs are wonderful- stuffed myself each night!
