Matahari Bungalow

It was as usual verygood. Staff very helpful, pool clean and not too crowded, easily accessible for us oldies. Breakfast good. Grounds well cared for. I would like for the pool lounges to be adjustable, they are very uncomfortable. The next doors dog, barking no fault of the hotels was disturbing.

I didn't like that they wanted a cash deposit when that was no where in this booking website that we would have to pay a deposit.

We had an excellent stay at Matahari! Comfortable and spacious room with nice balcony overlooking the gardens/pool. The restaurant on the property was very convenient for ordering food and drinks throughout the day. Also we had breakfast included and it was well worth it, delicious breakfast with lots of options. Excellent pool, we didn't want to leave the property! Shower had poor water pressure and didn't drain properly.

Location was amazing, we were close to everything, right in the center but also surprisingly quiet and had a chill time. Staff was kind and helpful and breakfast was tasty.

Frankly, I would prefer to keep this diamond as a secret, it is so good. Wonderful staff, beautiful grounds, serene pool and surrounds and a lovely breakfast/restaurant venue. Breakfast service was always excellent and friendly and the quality of the breakfast meals was very good. The value of this hotel is unbeatable. I have been to Bali too many times to count and stayed in multiple hotels in various locations. Hands down, this is the best value I have experienced. I shall return! Ooo...the massages offered next to the pool are top notch too! Everything was to my satidfaction.

The location, the breakfast, the swimming pool, the staff is 10/10 No elevator but it’s fine.

The pool & staff were nothing short of amazing so attentive. Food was very nice as well.

The staff are amazing. Great pool. Close to anything you could need. The suite was great - large and clean. Could not fault anything.

Great hotel in the middle of Kuta. Set off the main road in beautiful gardens... like a peaceful oasis in the middle of the busy city. Amazing staff and massages Nothing to dislike. Great place currently undergoing refurbishment. Not super luxury but clean, affordable and comfortable with fantastic staff

The Location suites me. The staff are good. The room was pretty good and was in a good location. The grounds and the hotel are really nice. The pool is slimy i got in the pool and straight away noticed the pool felt slimy the tiles are slippery because of this, the water was also pretty warm i got out as it was not pleasant or refreshing and i never used it again i didn't feel like getting sick from the pool. The pool was also like this the 2 times when i recently stayed previously. The room cleaning is a joke they literally just sweep / mop and change the linen i put a small mark on the towels and floor towel because i new they weren't being changed and after 4 days they were still the same ones, also not wiping anything down Toilet , benches, shower etc. There was renovations in a part of the hotel that went from 8.00am to 10.00 pm every day. One night at 11.30pm the staff showed someone the room next to mine making shyte loads of noise loud talking/ two way radio blasting away etc then at midnight the people moved in to the room unpacking banging around until 1.00am in couldn't believe that they were showing a room at that time of night. On another night on third floor above the staff were cleaning 7 rooms at 9.00pm dragging furniture across floors banging around. The Freckn Cats here they call each other and are fighting every night. But for me it's really the pool is pretty bad and the room cleaning is pretty bad. Everything else is expectable. I wouldn't normally give this much negative but i think it could be a great place if it was managed better.

This property is so comfortable, the staff is very nice. Breakfast is wonderful. It’s quiet at night, feels like a small resort, hidden away from the busy street.

Highly recommend for short or long stay.

Location Shower is run off a pump that turns on & off about every 5 seconds, so it will go from your set temperature to scolding hot then drop back to cool then back to your Temperature this is the whole time showering. you have to manage the time the pump will drop off so you don't burn yourself. i brought this to the staff attention & a young guy came up to look at it and turned the shower on put his hand under the water and just said YES and off he went ?, he wasn't a magician it still didn't work as it should, safely. Next the property next door has 2 dogs that bark all night and i mean all night. Next there are a few of hotel Cats that also call out for each other most of the day and night. Next room cleaning is average there was some sort of gel type liquid on the bathroom vanity on the day i move in to the room and was still there until the day before i left but only when i brought it to his attention also there was no evidence wiping down of anything. After the last day of room cleaning i noticed the floor had lots a long black hair strands on it, also around the front door that is not a good look. One of my pillows, again after a room clean had dry crusty blood on it ( i mean crusty Blood i ran my nail cross it and it came of a bit so i know it wasn't a washed stain) YUK

Not nice comparing to the price. Lots of mosquitoes. I forgot my stuff in the room but when i got back they didn’t gave me back . I left my stuff inside the hotel right before the check out. I went back after a day and ask the hotel staff but they refuse to give me back. Unprofessional behavior.

Very central to everything, excellent pool, very good staff, breakfast okay, reasonable value Rooms a little dated, shower over the bath not good, shower water pressure and temperature not very good.

Upon our arrival in the rain staff helped us out a lot in the rain, much appreciated. Nice garden. Very friendly helpful staff. Laidback atmosphere in the pool, chilling at the pool bar. Massage near pool area is recommended. Decent room. Good breakfast. Bathroom is a bit dated, but doable.
