La Walon Hotel

Location was about the only thing that was ok about this place It was old and dirty, in need of major repairs. The vent in the bathroom was filthy, floor tiles were mismatched the bathroom tap needed repair you had to fight with it to turn it off and on. The seal around the fridge was disgusting. The room smelt like damp as if it had been closed up for a long time.The plastic film on the window to the bathroom was peeling off. The balcony was so small we had to remove the table so we could sit down. The floor of the pool was so slippery,you couldn't walk in the pool without slipping. To much more to mention, we had booked and paid for a week we left on 3rd day .

The property is located close to the beach. The restaurant staff are very attentive. When we arrived to the property in the dark of night so it was difficult to see what the property looked like. Upon waking in the morning I was very disappointed to see the common grounds/pool area. My first thought, was all the pictures on Booking.com were photo shopped, then upon investigation I realized the pictures on Booking.com are VERY OUT DATED! The rooms are not representative of what they offer. It is my understanding they have renovated a few rooms where regular guests stay, and these are the pictures they use. We didn’t even have a bed side lamp. I actually looked at other options on the street, but the thought of paying for two accommodations for 3 weeks made me decide to stay put. The hotel has many safety infractions……one of which caused me to very serious fall. On a rainy day I went down the lobby stairs to the street and on the bottom step, a glossy tile with no safety strip I slipped and fractured 4 ribs. There are no railings to hold onto. The wet floor sign was in the lobby and nowhere near the stairs. As there is NO elevator in the hotel, another guest asked that we be moved to a main floor room as I was not able to climb the stairs. There was no mention of additional charges until several days before we were to check out. The room we were moved to was almost exactly the same as the room above we were in, so really no need for them to charge us extra. I tried to speak to the manager and she could not answer where were would have slept if we had not moved to the ground floor. I asked several times to speak to the owner and was told he was way, which was not true, as he was at the property several times to celebrate with his staff. We actually left 4 days early, and even though we asked for no compensation for those paid days, they insisted we pay the additional charges. It is poor ownership when the owner doesn’t reach out to a guest when they have a serious accident on their property.

Shower needs glass door so whole bathroom floor doesn't get wet and become very slippery . Dangerous. And they do need a elevator.

We used this accommodation for our fly out day, seeing as we didn't leave until 11pm. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the pool is large and it's centrally located, but quiet inside that you wouldn't know you are in such close proximity to everything.

The location is great. The staff were friendly. The room itself is spacious. Good wifi connection. The room wasn't very clean and the building itself needs serious upgrading as it's old and not in great shape. Overall, not recommended as there are much better options in the area for very competitive prices.

Close to beach Showers flood the whole bathroom

Good and the bad so you decide. Good - 1. Close to the beach in Kuta and the Beachwalk mall, walkable distance. 2. Rooms and batrooms are really big compared to other Asian destinations and you also get a balcony. 3. room cleaning every day. 4. There is a very nice pool to enjoy. 5. the restaurant can deliver food to your room, double burgers are great Bad. - 1. The sink is clogged so the water does not flow well, so when you shave or wash hands it get filled quickly. 2. the bathroom drain also isn't working well, and since the shower is not separated from the rest of the batroom, after you shower the bathroom floor is filled with water. 3. the traffic is crazy in Kuta so getting back to the hotel after you take a day trip will take you an additional hour only to get by in the traffic in Kuta.

A huge construction site is next door. They are working from 8am to 11pm. Noise is constant. Also there are no "do not disturb" signs for the doors.

THe pool, the garden, the restaurant on site for food and hang out. Bathroom shower drain opposite next to the toilet= the entire bathroom floor with standing water.

The property is in a good location, the staff are very nice and the pool is good with lots of chairs. The hotel needs major renovations. The bathroom stunk of mold and I had to change rooms because it was giving me such a headache. The bathrooms are super old. The other rooms also smelt like mold but not as bad. The wifi didn’t work for the first 2 nights I was there so I was unable to work from my room. On the description of the hotel on booking.com it says the hotel has wifi and modern bathrooms.. that is a lie.

It’s relatively close to Kuta Beach and the Beachwalk Mall The property is very outdated. When we arrived, there was a dead cockroach next to the TV, and everything looked old and poorly maintained. Unfortunately, our room had a view of the construction site next door. We honestly expected more. The bed was okay, but the TV had poor signal and the internet was terrible. Sadly, we don’t recommend this place

Rooms were not good

This is our favorite hotel to stay while in Bali! We have stayed here 4 times over the past 2 years, and it is always a pleasure. The staff is always so pleasant and helpful. This is an older property, but you simply cannot beat it for the price, cleanliness, and location. We always enjoy the breakfast and the 4 minute walk to the beach. Easy to walk all around Kuta from here. We will always come back! Nothing. Everything was great!
