The property was clean and beautiful. In a great location, walking distance to Kemah, Boardwalk and nearby restaurants. The only thing I did not like was that there was not enough counter space in the bathroom.

Pool and hot tub were out of service. Construction was occurring right across from the hotel.

The staff at the desk were super welcoming and greeted us each time we came and left the property. We had a balcony room, but unfortunately construction was happening out side our window so the view was not the best, we could view the Bay Area and the construction was not taking place at the time so it wasn’t loud or disruptive during our stay. (This would not stop me from returning at a later date.) The room itself was large and clean. When we arrived it was freezing in the room, but we were able to adjust the temp to our comfort level so again, no problems there. The small refrigerator in the room was just okay, it didn’t keep our drinks super cold, but it seemed to have a problem with the door not closing properly. All in all it was a nice hotel and I would recommend it to others.

Everything about the place was awesome.

Staff was very friendly and helpful; parking was easy and the room was great (we received an unexpected upgrade). We've stayed before and the standard rooms are also very comfortable. Most everything is within walking distance. Unfortunately, the pool and spa were being refreshed but they said it should be back in operation later in the summer. All in all, a very enjoyable few days. We'll be back in the fall.

The carpet was wet by the window and the room smelled very musty. They gave us a room with a wheel chair shower and it was really hard to shower without getting water all over the floor. The hotel was empty so I am not sure why they put us in that room. There was major construction outside of our window and the pool was closed down. Very underwhelming stay.

Parking was great, they give you a pass to cover parking in the parking garage and it’s very convenient for getting into the hotel. The staff was very nice and helpful. It smells nice when you walk in the lobby area. The room was clean and nice. Looks a little older decorated but it has a charming vibe. I wanted to hate the bed because it was so firm, but it actually took away my back and hip pain. lol. The bedding is very soft. Bathrooms are nice with a good sized tub. Balconies were fun. Band both nights outside but they stopped playing at a decent time so that was nice. Pillows were too hard for me. The only problem with my stay is that the pool and hot tub were closed for maintenance for the duration of the stay. My requirement for wherever we stayed was that it had a pool for our toddler. I was very disappointed. I don’t remember seeing anything when I booked about the pool being closed. Other than that it was a nice stay.

Really enjoyed the one night we stayed when the 80s was playing on the stage and the kids enjoyed the unlimited bracelets they loved it and the view was amazing, but the pool area was closed being it looked like they are cleaning it when we wish it was open to enjoy it. But other then that it was a amazing stay.

We loved that the AC in our room was super cold! But it was disappointing that the pool was closed for repairs and there was no mention of that when we booked. We brought swim suits and planned for an afternoon of relaxing by the pool only to find out it was Temporarily Closed and was only half full of water. I understand that repairs or maintenance must happen, just wish we had notice when we made the reservation.

Perfect location to just park the car and walk to food and back to the room. Loved the balcony over the plaza.

Not a good place for elderly or disabled people their beds are too high. They only had one handicap room that had a king bed no double beds for for people that need two beds that are handicap or disabled. No bars on the bathroom tubs they commode in the room that I stayed in was too low. It was very hard to get up and down. I’m a disabled person. I couldn’t take a bath for two days and I had to sleep in a chair for two days. They need to get more space and cater to more handicap people. I know when I got there there were handicap people already there because they were handicap places were taken up so they just need to do more for that.

Breakfast not included: and was only available starting 7AM next door.

Got an email 2 days before arrival the pool would be closed for repairs. Other than proximity to the boardwalk, that was truly the only amenity setting our decision to stay there a part from a more affordable hotel nearby.

We did enjoy our stay, there are a few things that could be better. It was raining and right above our patio door the ceiling was leaking, we put a towel down on the floor, it was only during the heavy rain. We were in room 328. The chair in our room had a material that felt wet. We put a sheet on it and it was fine. It was nice and quite , and the beds where good. Parking was good and the girl at checkout was nice. We would stay again.

This is a cute place but like everything Landry’s, it was just OK, missing something. Had a fridge but no microwave, really? No gym, I would think for the amount you pay we could have that as a minimum. Coffee maker didn’t work. Front desk was bothered when I asked for a new one. Needs updates. Carpet or whole 4th floor had a mildew smell that they tried covering up with a heavy air freshener. We only stayed here for my husbands work thing. Won’t do again. Needs updates. Most of the staff was helpful and friendly. Parking in garage was convenient and a nice plus.

This place smells so good as soon as you walk in the front door. Best smelling hotel I have ever been in. The bed was extremely comfortable! The room was nice and tidy and the bathroom was spotless clean. Wonderful place!

Pretty steep pricing for very basic service. We could here our neighbors anytime they were in their room. We had what sounded like a generator running outside of our room. We did not have an iron, shampoo, lotion. There is no room service. It is an ok stay, but nothing special other than having easy access to the boardwalk.

Only a one night stay and Everything was excellent until the next morning at 8:00am. The boardwalk was having some major construction near the hotel and started a pile driver at 8:00am. I know that wasn't the fault of the hotel bu it was a sure surprise and no so greT as an early alarm. other than that, it was all excellent.

Parking is made easy and covered. Staff is responsive and cordial. I stayed here twice before, and I can honestly say they have stepped up their game with the cleanliness and the nice fragrance throughout the property. I will continue to give them my family’s business. Well done!

This was my fourth stay at the hotel but it’s been a few years since my last visit and I noticed the property is showing its age. In my room the paint and wallpaper were peeling, tub surface was peeling, there was a very strong odor in the hallways/room and the top drawer of our dresser wouldn’t stay closed. On the positive side, the staff is very friendly and helpful and the location - right on the boardwalk - can’t be beat.

I have wanted to stay at the Boardwalk Inn for 20 years, ever since I saw it for the first time during a trip to Kemah, and the hotel did not disappoint! My husband and I were extremely comfortable during our 2 night stay, the staff was very helpful and friendly, and the views were STUNNING! Plus it’s so much easier to enjoy the boardwalk when you’re able to easily go back and forth between your room and the amenities offered.

and our room was clean and ready to go accordingly. Was a really nice aesthetic hotel, however the Wi-Fi was spotty and didn’t have a strong enough connection so the TV kept cutting out. There was no microwave in our room and one of our mirrors in the bathroom did not light up like it was supposed to.

Room was clean and bed was comfortable. The slats on the windows do let light in. The rain against the balcony door allowed water to seep in and make the carpet wet. Hotel was very nice/clean. Would be nice to offer some light breakfast options, small continental type breakfast. And coffee in the lobby. Our kuerig was gross. Husband had to buy 4.50$ coffee next door every morning. Also, the place next door didn’t have beignets as stated. And redo make any.

Definitely a great spot to hang for the night to enjoy dinner and some beverages without having to drive. The young gentleman at the front desk was so helpful and had such a great energy. Parking in the deck is free just be sure to get ur receipt validated at the front desk. Was quite disappointed the hot tub wasn’t working properly-n just some caution to some who may not appreciate it-they have live music on the weekends-it was quite loud and went on till about 10 on a Sunday night-we had no where to be so we sat on the balcony enjoying it along w all the happy ppl dancing below. The hotel was clean and right on the boardwalk. Our room had a balcony and we could listen to live music all day Sat. The room itself was well maintained, bed was comfortable. It took a minute to get the AC right, but it was still very comfortable. There were several shops/restaurants within walking distance.

We booked a room that was supposed to sleep 6 but it only had two full size beds. The hotel did provide an air mattress. Hotel is older and is showing it’s age.

It was Ok, but Kemah boardwalk closes all shops so there really is nothing to do unless you drive. I won’t stay there again. That’s a lot of money on a hotel that offers nothing for its customers.

Fun place

The hotel sits right on the boardwalk. Its surrounded by restaurants and rollercoasters. The hotel's location is convenient for a quick trip to Houston and Galveston Island. The hotel staff exhibited great customer service.

The location was perfect for what I needed (booking a sailboat sunset cruise out of Kemah) but the facilities fell well below what I would expect from a property owned by Mr. Tilman Fertitta. I don't think it's been updated in over 25 years. They are currently adding on another "experience / amenity" to the board walk, but my recommendation would be to first invest in updated the current facilities. It needs new carpet, a fresh coat of paint etc.... just overall TLC. It felt like things were operating within a very tight budget with minimal staff. I never saw a cleaning cart, no bell hops, no parking attendants or door men, just a single person at the front desk

This property has so many flaws that I don’t know where to start. Please save yourself the disappointment and gamble on another property.

The overall property was nice and convenient The worst part was I couldn't even get around after waking up due the beds . So bad !!! Worst bed I have ever slept in . PERIOD will never stay there again due to that .

My family and I have an amazing stay. Boardwalk Inn was very clean and smelled really nice. The hotel receptionist were very nice and helpful. They were always helpful. We loved our room and the boardwalk. It was such a warm welcoming stay.

The rooms were charming, but the refrigerator was extremely small and there was no microwave. This is enough for me to not recommend or return. Also, most shops are not open Monday-Wednesday and the ones that are open don't do so until noon. The only thing we would recommend is going to the Aquarium where you can pet and feed the stingrays. That was a lot of fun.

Staying in August by the coast I wanted to get some sun. The pool was CLOSED FOR MAINTENANCE THE WHOLE TIME! Maybe Expedia could verify details like that before letting somebody book a summer vacation and hoping to swim. I would like a refund.

Kemah Boardwalk Inn was a great choice for us! The location was perfect and everything was in walking distance. We were able to enjoy the band from our balcony. Although the room could use an update, the a/c worked very well. We would have liked some info of everything to do around Kemah, but we still had fun. A refrigerator would have been nice to keep our leftovers in as well. Overall, we had a great time!!

Our room seemed clean and spacious. There was an issue with the fire alarm around 12:45 a.m. it went off twice and scared the soup out of my granddaughter and myself. Not really knowing what to do, I called the front desk and was told they were working on it. The young woman that checked us out the next morning could use a lesson on the hospitality business. She didn’t ask how our stay was or apologize to us for being startled out of bed at 12:45 a.m. by the fire alarm, even after I told her it scared us.

We arrived on a Sunday, which was great. On Monday most shops were closed. Was advised there that Mondays and Tuesdays are the slowest days so most shops are closed. Wednesday thru Sunday would be best to travel to that location.

Not many places to shop overall nice getaway

The hotel was nice, no breakfast option, you have to request room service AND hotels keep raising their check in times, this one was a 4 O'clock check in ! Check out has never changed, still 11AM.... how about a 4 PM checkout . As a family we used to take small get aways every 3rd weekend, stay a day or two in a different city in Texas but between added on state/city taxes, LATER check in times, reduced services.... What's next 10 PM check in 7AM check out ?

This app is great. The room didn’t have a working refrigerator. The door knob is loose. It’s just really old. It does not work properly.

My daughter and I had a wonderful girls getaway. So convenient for the Kemah Boardwalk. The carpet by our balcony door was wet from recent rain and when reported we were told that maintenance would come redo door seal. It did not appear to be done during our stay but also didn’t impact our stay.

Everything else about the hotel seemed fine. It’s a little dated and needs updating in the rooms, but it was comfortable. A little noisy outside our window until late but not terrible.

The only negative is I would recommend shower shoes. I felt like I was back at camp with rusty drains and tile grout that needed refinishing. I didnt love that but the countertop and sink were perfectly fine. All in all I’d recommend but giving those more discriminating a little heads up to not expect to soak in the bathtub here. Oh and parking was complimentary the two days we were there but bc we didnt have a ticket when we enter the parking garage, upon departure we couldnt get out until we called for help via the ticketing gate at the exit. The hotel should maybe provide some instruction for departing parking garage without a ticket. There was a couple other cars that were obviously confused as well on how to exit

This property is in need of an update. Lots of water damage and scratched furniture. We also had no idea that a loud rock band would be playing right outside our window until 11 PM. There was no warning when we booked the room or checked in with our your children. The pool had no shade and had a bunch of people smoking. There was also no towels. Considering how much we paid for the room, I was very disappointed. Do not recommend.
