There is major road construction going on right outside the front of the hotel. It was very difficult to get to the hotel. I asked the staff at the front desk if there was a better way and the girl there said she had no idea. Really?

I’ve stayed at this location several times over the past few years, because it is close by to my work area. This time there appeared to be a change in staff and management and the overall experience wasn’t the same. Nothing bad, just different seem as friendly as before.

Always clean and friendly staff, breakfast is ok Wanted a bottle of water but None of the vending machines worked, the nice lady at the desk gave me one of her personal bottles of water.

The rooms were very clean. The location was great near the Boardwalk Kemah Boardwalk, and that’s where I was going. I didn’t like their sign in sign out policy. If you try to sign in early, they’ll charge you $10 more you sign in late they’re gonna charge you $20. I thought that was a rip off.

Swimming pool water too much cold, my kids couldn’t get in there. The service was good, we liked that.

Three cockroaches. THREE. Which means there are much more considering these three were just on the walls and ceiling.

I stayed Mon-Wed and it was a very quiet stay. Check in was easy with the link to answer questions ahead of time. Construction in front of the hotel was going on so getting to it is a little tougher than normal. Breakfast was subpar with no protein options, just carbs with waffles, cold cereal and fruit. Hotel room was clean and spacious (kitchenette).

When we went to check-in room was not even available. There was no one to even clean them at the time. And didn't know if someone was going to clean them up at all pretty much was told, I have to cancel your room knowing that I had booked weeks into it. Poor staff poor service left unhappy

Air conditioner made a loud and clanky noise all night, and we found toilet paper in the bed, like the bed sheets were not changed. The guy at the front counter acted like he wanted to be anywhere else than his job. Received a message to do a check in process, so I did. Then got to the hotel and had to do the same process.

Hotel smelled weird. Sraff sitting talking having a gatter at breakfast area. Super rude cleaning people. Got in the bedroom the smell was even worse. Everything really old and broken. The tube was completely nasty. We sat a little to wait the rain stop for us to go to boardwalk. We had to.open the windows because of the smell. My 3 years old baby started etching and my husband found bed bugs. We didn't spend the night. Packed back and went home to have shower. No way would use that bathroom

Happy always makes us feel welcomed! This is our go to place when we come to Kemah! We will be back again soon.

Property was very clean with convenient parking.

The room smelled mildew or mold in the air. Only one lamp light worked and the bathroom light. There was a gross spill on the carpet. The table was burnt. The chair arm was broken & dangerous. There was hair in the shower. The toilet seat wasn't stable to the point our son sat down and almost fell. The hot tub doesn't work and the pool is to cold and full of chlorine. So much it made my youngest throw up from the smell. When i told them, the manager told me he would get me a bucket and mop so i could clean it. I asked for paper towels because i couldn't find any in the bathroom. Thats what i cleaned it with. When we where checking out he was nonchalant. Horrible totally playing more to get something way better. Every time we came to kemah for the past 16years we had stayed there. Never again!

Very clean room and bathroom. I don’t usually do hotel room review but this time is different. I enjoy that the has a relaxing vibe, no weird smell and the bathroom is well lit and clean.

Indoor pool was freezing with no way of heating.

Terrible terrible service by the so called “manager”. Had my reservation of 3 rooms done a week in advance with no problem on the app. On the day of very early in the morning I get a call from a man (very heavy English accent) saying he cancelled my reservation because my cc declined. I said there was no reason for my cc to decline however why he would be running my cc if we are not even there. He was very rude and talking over me the whole time saying he didn’t know and it was not his problem and if wanted rooms we would pay higher price. I tried to get a reasonable reason out of him but he was just talking over me and repeating it was not his problem. I ask to speak to the manager or someone else and he refused saying no one will help me anymore then he disconnected the call. After that I started reading the reviews and saw where many many people had complained about bad, rude service from the front desk people. I called back and I said I should of read the reviews before reserving at this hotel and he simply said I don’t care and disconnected the call for the second time. I DO NOT RECOMMEND this hotel at all. READ THE REVIEWS and you’ll find out why.

Excellent for the price and distance to kemah. Only complaint is there were Roachs.

I came for a stay of one night with my wife and kids , the guy at the counter was nice and tried to help . The room had strange smell and the sheets had strange stains. The bath had stains too. kitchen facilities were old and dirty. I went out with my family to grab something to eat and when we came back my kids saw a cockroach on the pillow. That was it. We grabbed our things and got the f$%@ out of there.

Our room was clean and seemed to be updated recently. The only exception was a small hole in the bathroom door and the missing towel holder. For breakfast, there were not many choices and there was only 1 wafflemaker. We had to wait in a line. It was not working properly so waffles were not done on the inside. “Happy” at the front desk was very kind and reported this for us.

Good property for the price. 2 or 3 minute drive to the Kemah Boardwalk area.

This place is great. The only thing that needs work is the bathroom. The only light that came on was around the mirror, the shower curtain rod was concerning because it was barely hanging on the wall. Other a that we enjoyed our stay.

The location was perfect and the front desk agent was nice and professional. The room, however was damp and musty. The paintings off the wall were just stuffed in the closet, there were no lights up on entering just after dark. We finally figured out we needed to plug the lamps in. There still was not enough light to get ready for our event. The t.v. didn't work, we even called the agent to the room to check it out. There was an unsightly ceiling leak in the lobby.

The room was dirty; swimming pools was gross. When bought it up at check out I was told I stayed on the bad side and they had new staff cause they are scared to work. Not unacceptable .

The staff at this hotel are rude and disrespectful.

The motel’s fitness center was broken, hot tub was broken, tv was broken, muffins were stale, roaches in bathroom, dirty towels and vending machines were empty and the motel was hot. We spoke with the property manager and he did not seem to care about our concerns.

When we pulled up we weren’t expecting much from the outside. Glad we gave it a chance. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly and it was very clean.

The spa was not working, the room I got had Cockroach, I went to the stuff, he act like I’m lying to him, then he offer to change the room, while I was talking my stuff from the room I saw more Cockroach I asked him to come inside to check it

That’s a horrible place to stay but it’s cheap and close to the boardwalk.

We had 2 Roach’s in our room, the ac unit had to be replaced while we weren’t in our room and still took all night to cool the room, there was what appeared what to be a hole like someone punched the bathroom door and the night stand, the room had a smell like it was a very old room, the bathtub looked like there was mildew in the shower, the sound on the TV quite working, the hair dryer wasn’t working. When I asked if we could move rooms or even be compensated some for the Roaches in the room they could not help us with that. Would never stay here again

The breakfast did not have much for variety

They service at the hotel was horrible, and front desk clerk was so rides because we asked for a room that did not smell like smoked. He attacked up verbally and we were not even given another key to the room. They used a fake number and when we even has tired multiple times to get a hold of them. Stay away from this hotel because you will lose money. The rooms and pictures shown are not accurate.

Tv was not connecting. Called front desk and were not concerned. Desk clerk was rude and stated it was weather but my daughter had tv in her room. Our room never received maid service, they stated we had a do not disturb sign on door but we had taken in the sign the previous night and we never used the sign. When we complained they stated they would gives us towels but no coffee for the in room coffee and desk attendant was rude, I did a load of laundry just outside there ofc and laundry facility and same employee from front desk was in there laundry sounding like a party going in with the maids. Very unprofessional

We booked this last minute for a family/anniversary trip. The front desk staff were very friendly but the conditions of the hotel and our room were absolutely awful. The room was very humid and the beds felt sticky and wet. The furniture in the room was dirty. The desk chair was covered in food stains (I hope that's what it was) and dirt/dust. Our TV didn't have a way to turn down the volume and was stuck on way to loud. My husband got another remote from the front desk but that didn't work either. After about an hour of trying to figure out what to do we went down stairs to ask if we could cancel the rest of our stay. The man at the front desk said that he would do that and we wouldn't be charged a cancellation fee. That was honored. We were just very disappointed and disgusted with the cleanliness of the room and the hotel in general.

Me Happy was very nice. The price was great. Very close to the Kemah Board walk. Rooms set up so you can cook. Parking was available and well lit. We will use again, and invite family. Good value for the price.

The property was filthy. There were roaches in the cereal. The fitness center was closed and no available. The pool area was questionable. The room was very humid and musty.

The beds fames and mattress was very worn and showing the TV was a 13 Kmc h and the remote didn’t work I had the call the front desk on the first night he brought another but it didn’t turn the Tv so I still has to get out of bed to turn it on and off the breakfast was horrible and the entire build smelled terrible I will never stay there again

Fast forward to the evening…. Luckily my friends had already changed into pajamas and I was about to step into the shower when the door suddenly opened and two men were standing there as surprised as we were! They had been assigned to our room! Another complaint is there was literally no ice in the entire hotel! How can a hotel have no ice?! As I was checking out the next morning, I stopped to complain to the guy that checked us in about being barged in on, and he was not even a little sorry for his mistake in not changing our room number in the system! Just said “hmm, really?” Yes really.I do NOT recommend this hotel!

For the amount charged you would think the facilities would be nicer. Ice machine, telephone and microwave were broken. Front desk wouldn't answer the phone and never at the desk. I was extremely disappointed. I do not recommend and will never return.

The front desk clerk during the morning and afternoon was so friendly and helpful. He continuously asked how our stay was going. He was super nice to my son. The breakfast was good. It was toast, waffles, cereal and muffins. The pool is indoor and not heated. I couldnt get in because it was too cold for me but my son used it. The room was nice. The beds were comfortable. We will stay here again.

Affordable and a great place to book. We didn’t have any issues while staying there and at walking distance for the places we wanted to go!

I booked through a 3rd party the same day as i would arrive. A few hours later i show up and they booked someone else in my room. Told me my name was VERY common, i can assure you it is not. I had to stand there with my ID and reservation for 45 min while the front end argued with me about my name.

The room looks run down, bathroom drainage looks gross, the room I was given stench raise my sinus, the paint on the wall is chipped, under bathroom sink very dusty, portioning board cover nasty looking.

We left after the first night instead of staying the original 5 days. People were working on their cars in the parking lot & smoking Mary Jane

The property staff and manager actually very friendly. We went early and they actually let us check in early. Unfortunately the room was not clean, cig smell strong and garbage was left over under the bed. We only need to stay one night so we decide to leave it. We did mention to the front desk about the issue and they did take it seriously and mentioned cleaning staff were new. I am always willing to.give people.benefit of doubt but if you are stay longer, best to check the room.

The man at the front desk was very friendly. The room was okay, water pressure was a little low but it worked. You can tell they’re trying to upgrade the property. Our tv didn’t work, but that was okay because we brought our Roku. Overall, it was a good stay as we were displaced from our home down the street.

My nephews were looking forward to swimming in the indoor pool but they couldn’t because it wasn’t heated and they were too cold. I almost tried to find a nearby YMCA where they could swim.

Pretty good place I got this place for my step daughter and grand kids.it was clean and quiet the people there makes sure everything is safe and clean and courteous

The staff was fine but the building smelled like mold. on the second night when I returned to my room, the entire carpet was soaked. I notified the front desk and he said he was not sure why it was soaked but to "ask the day crew tomorrow". They did not offer a different room or any other accommodation to remedy the situation.

No soap or shampoo in the room. Beat up furniture.

Felt like I was in a dirty motel. Tv glued to the table. Ceiling in the closet leaking. Old sock left from someone that stayed there. Only reason I stayed I had prepaid if I canceled I lost all my money. By the time I got there it was to go to sleep and leave as early as I could. Plus not everything worked

Front desk was nice. House keepers were beyond rude! They would talk bad about guest including myself in Spanish not thinking I understood , when I can , just can't speak it. Over all good hotel just the attitude and rudeness of the main house keeper makes it uncomfortable.

Greeted so warmly and welcoming. We have stayed before and will definitely be staying again.

The stay was just for an overnight trip and I wasn’t in the room very long. However, there were a few condition issues. The remote for the tv was defective. The batteries kept falling out and may buttons didn’t work. Also, the tv couldn’t be turn on or off unless it was plugged in or unplugged. Also, the ironing board cover was stained heavily.

The only complaint I have is that there were no washcloths . Everything else was perfect

We ended up checking out a day early due to the conditions. The room smelled moldy and gave us a headache, we killed 2 roaches on the bathroom counter, the vending machines were empty and left no options for drinks and there was no ice. The tubs were very slippery. When we walked down for breakfast the muffins were stale.

The staff were very nice and helpful, but the room were very dusty and blankets were dirty, we got a horrible headache allergy reaction because of the dusty.

Good clean room, friendly staff. Free breakfast is always nice too. Lots of TV channels. Very affordable price. Nearby lots of amenities, walked to a restaurant next door to eat lunch one day which was very convenient. Overall I would stay here again.

Very inviting person at the front desk. It was right after hurricane so there was some damage but nothing that they could have helped.

Hotel was a great location to Kemah and the Beach. Plenty to do in the area. Room was average I did see a roach in my room but otherwise did not have any other problems.

I chose this motel because it had a room with 3 queen sized beds in it. The beds were very comfortable and clean. Bathroom was clean. The carpets were filthy. The breakfast was very good and in a clean dining area. The consigner at the desk was especially helpful and went out of his way to make sure our stay was pleasant.
