Poor air conditioning…was temporary unit that didn’t cool room. Paid for balcony and was unable to use because door lock was stripped. Horrible breakfast was complete ripoff, poor service. Did not finish food because had funny taste and seemed old….not sure how bacon and eggs can be so bad.

Room was a good size, but wasn't expecting a studio style suite. Room was just one large room. Great location for downtown and University of Iowa visits. Upgraded to a "balcony room" for better views, however we were on the same floor as the outdoor deck of the hotel. So the balcony view consisted of fake grass and outdoor chairs.

A drawer in the bathroom would not fully close and you hit it in the dark. The toilet paper holder won’t stay latched and the paper falls out.

Spacious rooms that are decorated in a modern contemporary design. Kitchenette complete with all you need to prepare, cook and store groceries. Do wish that a continental breakfast was included.

Dirty room and bathroom. Saw a live cockroach and spiders. Just terrible. I even paid for the luxury rooms. Do not stay here. Only thing working for it is the location.

You MUST do something to ensure the shower floors are no longer slick. Dangerous they way they are. Too easy to slip, fall and break something.

The rooms themselves are clean with great views (choose balcony). On the downside, there is usually something “off” with the room, nothing major, but is a minor annoyance easily avoided. Some examples over 10 visits- coffee machine broken, walk into room- air off and 83 degrees, 1 bath towel in a 2 bed suite, empty hand soap/body wash/conditioner, only a small amount of toilet paper left on the roll when you check in and no spare. This was our first stay here booking through Expedia and not directly on Hilton app- highly disappointed. Upon arrival, we were told they didn’t have the large 2 bed room with balcony I booked (and needed as I had 2 guests and a dog) but only had a king bed. They said that the “third party I used overbooked” and there were no other rooms available that evening. I questioned this as I was a Hilton diamond member and could see another room on the app. They said I could move the next day but they had no rooms. Minutes later, a manager called and said someone else was willing to move rooms and now they suddenly had one, which we checked into. I’m guessing that room was available the entire time. The rest of the stay was great.

Rad place. Huge room. Nice people. Close to everything in DT Iowa city - farmers market, bars, restaurants, shops. Good coffee shop. Can’t say enough good things.

Unfortunately, we arrived at the hotel around 4:15 PM and there was no room available yet, but we were able to get a room at 5 o’clock, which was one hour later than the time our reservation indicated rooms would be available. Seems that housekeeping staff is slow down or insufficient in number.

Staff is friendly and location is great. The hotel is so tired. Lobby is polished concrete. The rest of the hotel is comprised of beat up, dirty carpet squares. That includes the rooms. Carpet was worn out and gummy. Not appealing or a good value for the price they charge
