Comfort Suites Southport

Looked unclean. Treadmills did not work. Breakfast was subpar. Room cost over $200/night. Very poor experience.

The staff and the breakfast were the highlight of our stay. The hotel is in need of a serious update. Our room had a shower curtain rod that was coming out of the wall. The elevator was old and so slow. The paint was chipped and old. The bed was comfortable but our comforter was torn and the stuffing was coming out. I would not stay at this hotel again.

The breakfast was simple and excellent. No lounge chair, a desk chair

The bedding was ripped, dirty and the pull out couch was in terrible shape as a couch and a bed.

Phone had no dial tone. The heating/cooling unit had no knobs.

The room was mainly clean, the jet tub was also clean however two of the jets didn’t work. The faucet to the tub was very slow and was super wobbly. The hotel is due for renovation soon and hopefully will be able to have a better experience!

Now, this could just be an issue with the night auditor they have, but I was told I was getting a quiet room at the end of the hall. Turns out my room was right next to the exterior door, so the door was slamming all night. Also, it was right across from the pool, so there was a ton of pool noise immediately in the morning. Now the hotel was near capacity and I understand that. Had the night auditor not stated it was quiet and away from folks I wouldn't have expected a quiet room had I been told we're near capacity and this was the last available room I would have understood the potential for noise. Let just go back to honest hospitality. Im a night auditor at a decent 4.5 star hotel, and I personally would never describe a room by an exterior door as quiet.

It was a good place to stop south of downtown Indianapolis. The hotel is near Manny restaurants but off the main road enough to be quiet.

The hotel room smelled so bad we left and didn’t stay. Also super outdated.

Our late check-in was quick - which was a positive- however once finding our 4th floor room, we had to return to front desk 2x immediately. First, because inner lock on door seemed to be set so we thought the room may have been occupied (it was not, thankfully). The front desk person was helpful and got the door opened quickly. Then mere minutes later had to go back down as there were no sheets for pull out bed (despite there being 5 people on the reservation). Sheets on one of the beds appeared dirty (possibly just stained). Didn't have the energy to go back down AGAIN for more sheets so the kids just made do on top. Breakfast was just ok, but with no bacon or sausage, it seemed lacking. We didn't stay long enough to use the pool or other amenities, so unsure how those were. Everything seemed dated, but otherwise it served it's purpose as a place to sleep. We will likely try a different hotel the next time we are staying in Indy like this.

The staff were amazing and friendly however, I booked months in advance for this particular weekend. Even the manager cited I was very early. We called for early check-in 4 times being told it was a possibility. Day of we not only couldn’t get in early, our room was not ready at check in time. Once in after 4, there wasn’t any hot water to take showers. After driving 5-8 hrs, a hot shower would have been nice. The AC unit smelled like bad feet while operating. We ended up being late to our show since unable to check- in on time and get ready properly. We had to do hobo showed with wash clothes! A couple of the outlets in the bathroom weren’t working so we had to get ready on the floor in the other room. Friendly staff but they weren’t able to do anything to help. Hoping for some sort of compensation for this.

I can not believe I paid $165 for a room where; we had to fix the tv, phone, mold in the bathroom, the couch has to be thrown out it is really gross and i never took my shoes off!
