Candlewood Suites Indianapolis Airport by IHG

This hotel is under renovation so there were some glitches. I've never stayed at one of these hotels before and tend to stay in more upscale hotels. That being said, the hotel staff could not have been nicer or more helpful or accommodating. They were quick to resolve the few issues our room had and made everything right. The common areas are still being renovated so there is much wear and tear. However, our room was clean, newly renovated and had all of the basic necessities for our stay. The staff is what makes this hotel... everyone we interacted with, from the front desk to housekeeping to maintenance, were friendly, professional and very personable. They made our stay most enjoyable. Thank you for your hospitality!

This is the worst hotel. I only stay here for the location convenience for work and I enjoy the kitchenette. The front desk lady is incompetent. I told her I already fully paid for my booking and she charged me again. The charge posted to my account and did not fall off. The elevators sound like they’re about to go out, the rooms are not well kept, soap bottles empty, hotel has been under renovation for 5 years and still looks like shit. Random noise from the vents. I can go on and on. Terrible property.

Area is safe,and we didnt see any shady people, we came for the indy500 and its close to the airport, and about 1mile and a half from the school bus drop off area. ims has tickets that can be purchased for pickup and drop off,we had uber drop us off and pickup at this spot which makes it easier to get to and from the track. Only issue i have is hotel doesn't have ice machines, and when needing toilet paper, you have to go down to the lobby to get it. The hotel has a little room in front so coffee, drinks,water,chips and such can be purchased and is alot cheaper that getting stuff at the track. I paid about $800.00 for Fri,sat,sun checkout on Monday so still pretty expensive but its for a rce weekend

When I checked in, they failed to tell me the room only gets cleaned once every 7 days. I was there for four. No fresh linens, towels or bathroom paper. I mentioned it during check out and was told I could wash my own sheets and towels. The desk person said I have to request bathroom tissue when needed. I liked the small kitchenette.

I would not stay here again, sorry. The rooms are not clean. Fridge was filthy, toaster did not work, front desk manager not very welcoming or helpful. With no breakfast and no one cleaning rooms for a week it is essentially a very old hostel that gets to charge excessive hotel prices, particularly for events like Indy500. A shame. Could be nice if well taken care of and cared for.

Was a little disappointed there was no hot breakfast being served. Was looking forward to some fresh eggs, bacon, sausage, toast, HOT coffee....but to no avail.

It was convenient. The ac wasn’t working and the room was not clean.

Front staff were pleasant but room smelled bad, floor was sticky, soap in the shower was empty and there were no bath towels. Soured me for this hotel chain for sure. We were just there for 6 hours and we were glad to leave.

Convenience it tastes like chicken fingers I did not like the fact that this hotel is a lot older than what the pictures projected online. When I arrived at check-in one of my questions was, where is the pool? We had planned on taking a swim before. Relaxing, only to get there and to be told that the pool was out of order. And that it was being renovated prior to walking towards the elevator the door to the pool was cracked open. I pushed open the door to see the poor and little behold. There was nothing but material in that room. When I say materials I mean paid paint brushes drywall it was absolutely ridiculous Upon crawling the hotel before I arrived, I was told that there was a pool. However they forgot to mention that the pool was unavailable and had been unavailable for months Very disappointing,

When I first walked in it was just okay but as you find your way to the elevator the first floor hallway is really rough and old . Almost a little scary as a solo female I was wondering if I was gonna be safe or not. But once I got off the elevator the rooms have all been redone and look nice. Hallways are new and clean. Comfy beds and bedding. The refrigerator was old and loud it ran most of the time and the bathroom fan was extremely loud. But it’s a great place to stay for the price overall. Plenty of space for two people and lots of outlets and charging stations. The location of the hotel is really convenient to the highway and not too far from the airport or Indy 500 Speedway. I would stay here again.

Staff was amazing. Only issue I had was I was having to take a cold shower for 3 days I was there and didn’t offer half of my money or anything back, but I had to pay full price. Will never book here again.. And on top of that went to go swim and the pool area was full of maintenance equipment. So I feel I should’ve got something back.

The hotel was clean and good for business purposes but the staff were absolutely not helpful. Especially the front desk. The person was not at the desk for at least 15 minutes and was hanging out outside watching us walk in. No urgency what so ever. I have stayed here once before and only stayed since it was very close to the airport. I will chose something else next time and sacrifice the drive over hospitality.
