The hotel has a beautiful exterior and security is present at all times, however, its location requires driving or using Uber to get around. Breakfast quality varies and some guests have experienced issues with mold and gunshots. Rooms can be dirty upon check-in and housekeeping services may not be reliable. The hotel is close to Hobby airport and cleanliness is generally good, but road noise can be an issue.

    Stayed here for two nights. Had an issue with not having hot water in my room. The staff was very helpful and worked diligently to find me a room with hot water (took trying 3 different rooms as it seemed to be an issue on the second floor). Overall very good experience and will stay here again in the future.

    The front desk staff was impeccable, their customer service skills exceeded my expectations. Questions were answered and service provided for ice, snacks and laundry service. Kudos to Chris (maybe Clay) and Jessica! The carpet throughout was very dirty!!! I had to put down the bath towels to avoid walking on the carpet in my room. Silverware was missing in the room (not one spoon or fork), the pot was rusted on the bottom so opted not to cook. The hallways were atrocious, filthy, filthy and filthy, some kind of red stain on South floor hallway.

    Breakfast I don’t like that the rooms have very poor ventilation! I didn’t get any sleep like that because it caused my allergies to spiral, and I’ve stayed in my room the whole time of my stay besides getting breakfast. The room was also dusty and All bathrooms with a shower should have proper ventilation and a fan to help w moisture! I didn’t enjoy my stay as much as I would’ve like to being that every time I shower and open the bathroom door some my whole room is “moist” the counter tops, headboard, TV, etc. and that’s disgusting!

No hot water later in day. Was told to run the water for a while and after having it run for 5-10 minutes still nothing changed. Wake up bright and early if you want to take a warm shower. Grabbed a mug to use and it was dirty. Hate that you could hear EVERYTHING around you!

    The breakfast was the only good thing about this property. There are so many. The room was horrible! The smell was unbelievable and smacked you in the face every time you opened the door. From the floor to the furnishings, everything was dirty and had me questioning the cleanliness. The bed looked like someone laid in it, threw a pillow in the middle of the bed and took one pillow. If I weren’t so exhausted from traveling I would have immediately requested a refund and found another hotel but was dealing with a sick travel mate who couldn’t handle that much moving about. Then, was not made aware that the pool was not swimmable or “out of service”. It looked like a toxic cesspool!! I couldn’t tell if the pool was frozen, if it was gelatinous, or some type of polymer on top. Never seen anything like that! The pictures don’t even do it justice. Housekeeping never came to our room the entire stay. Had to go to the front desk to get an extra set of sheets for the couch just to cover up the filthiness and to be able to sit down. Had to go retrieve our own towels. The room experienced an electrical short and no one ever came to check it out. Had to figure it out on my own after a full 24 hours of limited electricity. After being left on hold for hours the night before when the front desk clerk said they’d “check on it” and stay on hold, eventually had to hang up. Next morning, let the staff know again about the short, they were supposed to send maintenance up in an hour. Ended up staying in the room the whole day, and no one ever came. I have been a Marriott Bonvoy Member for years and this was the worst stay ever! I’m still in disbelief.

    We asked for a changing room immediately. We went to a new room. There were no roaches, but under the couch there still was candy and something else there. Plus, the room was smelling of mildew from the carpet, which caused all my family to get allergies kicking in immediately. And also, it was a minor fact that no hair dryer was provided, like other hotels. We do not want to get any more trouble about asking for a changing room again. So, we were suffering for 3 nights. This was a lesson and I learned that NOT all Marriott Hotels are the best and I should do more research before renting Marriott Hotels :-( So sad that I am a member of Bonvoy Marriott Hotels too. Please consider hygiene and the environment for customers. Thank you.

    The breakfast was good and the location easily accessible. Cleanliness: My room wasn't cleaned for upward of 3 days. Front Desk staff only offered apologies but told me flatly they couldn't do nothing about it because the responsible staff had closed for the day. We had to request for soap, toiletries, etc each time we need them. We slept on the same bedsheet for 4 days!

    I travel and have been in customer service over 30 years. This hands down was one of the best staff I have ever had the pleasure of staying with. The room absolutely needed updating . You can tell there was. A lot of staining on the carpet and furniture. The down stairs, outside and other part of the facility I saw was beautiful. People constantly cleaning, smiling. Asking I needed anything. Great night stay.

    The hotel carpet needs to be replaced. It has multiple stains and smell all over the second floor. The elevator had dirt in the corner for four days which indicates it was never cleaned or mopped until the manager came on the fifth day. The room had a smell as soon as you opened the door. No waffle maker which is shown in the pictures on the site of the hotel. The staff is nice, welcoming and accommodating and for this, this the Only reason why I stayed !

    The room was not ready until after 5pm. When got to the room, we did not have enough towels for us 4 as requested. The tables in the kitchen and side tables were dirty. They had dirty dishes in the dishwasher. We had a few plates, only one bowl and no utensils. The cabinet in the bathroom fell off and cut my knee. I went down to complain, was told that they are short on towels and have no more utensils. When we went to shower at night they had no body wash in the container on the wall. I was told the manager would have to come bring it the next day. I had to ask several times the next day for towels, trash bags, new toilet paper. Since they only clean your room every other day, even though they did not even come on that day. They have no waffle maker. The eggs were not cooked all the way and no bacon, or ham any morning of the 3 days. When we left I could not even find a manager to complain to! No one was behind the desk! I seriously wanted a refund, but since no one was there I just had to leave my keys and drive home. I will never stay at this hotel again! Do not waste your money stay anywhere else!

    This place is filthy. No bedroom tv. LR tv did not work. Mold in corners, dirty carpet in halls with hugh spots looked like it had been flooded. Furniture had lots of spots very nasty, and the smell was moldy. I don't think the air was safe. Furniture was also tattered. Zippers on pillows were torn. This place is a mess. I knew it when I walked in the door . The classic signs were there of a poorly kept facility. Towels did appear to be clean. Tried to charge for parking but we came in from the airport by Uber. We would have left if it were not so late and we had our on car.

    The stay was terrible. The service was awful. Any service you request, they don’t have people. They say they fix it, but never does. They make a list, they never act on it.     Staff never had clean towels on time and even gave away the ones reserved for us, and even ran out of hotel keys. Room had dirty couch and appliances and also even had used paper towels with barbecue sauce and everything on it. Never will stay here again. Room even had multiple broken things and crooked shower.

    The hotel itself was fine. When we first arrived it appeared to be clean and neat. The only downside to our stay was connecting to WiFi, we went to the front desk three times and they did try to help but it was just no luck. The microwave flipped a switch on our first night and never came back on the entire stay. Last and final downside was the fact that the carpet had a damp dog smell. It was so bad it woke me out of my sleep and I had to go to the store to get carpet freshener. It was horrible.

    Check in was quick. The room was clean. Nice hot shower available. No view but was fine and safe with no panhandlers. Breakfast had a nice selection. Staff was pleasant

    The staff at the front desk tend to not always be there, resulting in them missing calls from your room or not attending to you when you come to the desk. Had to keep calling or asking for room service when I should have been receiving it everyday. Towels and bed sheets had stains on them. Breakfast is terrible except for the cereal. And to put icing on the cake, my cousin, who was staying with me, got her car broken into at the parking lot. We called the police to file a report and it just so happened that the hotels camera wasn’t working so police could not see what might have taken place. The manager ignored us and we had to go to him to ask if there would be an update when the cameras were fixed, he said yes, so did another receptionist the next morning when I asked, it has been over a month at the time of this review and we have not gotten an update. Additionally, I did not receive a full refund of the additional amount they charge you upon checking in, which they’re supposed to refund if there are no incidents. I made no damages and there were no incidents asides for the car break in and us alerting the manager that his staff is not at the front desk and wouldn’t send room service after I asked, so from my understanding then I didn’t receive the refund because of one or two of these situations, which were none of my own fault.

    We booked this location because it was convenient, parking was easy, and the room had a kitchenette. Like other reviewers have shared there are certain sides of the building that have more traffic noise. Byron helped to ensure we had the best room to meet our needs. The hotel offered hot breakfast entrees as well as cereal, yogurt, bagels, muffins, juice, and hot beverages. As the weekend approached the breakfast seemed to run low on items long before the end of serving time. There was an outdoor pool, but we did not utilize it during our stay. The beds were a little firm and some deep cleaning could be done on the window shade. The kitchenette sink did not drain properly nor did the disposal work. We reported the problem to maintenance, but it was not fixed before the end of our stay. We did encounter one roach in the bathroom, but was easily resolved. The tub was a little slippery so I would recommend bringing along or buying a shower bathmat as the hotel does not supply them.

    Check in was weird. They did not explain any of the fees that would apply. They were kind initially but when I asked about what the extra charges on my credit card were they were rude about it and expected me to already know this information. Wasn’t a horrible experience but not great.

    Once checked out later on in the day I received my receipt and realized I was incorrectly charged for $395.46. I have contacted the hotel multiple times to try and correct this charge but no answer. I have stayed at this hotel before and never had to pay that much for a room because of how far in advance I book. Same scenerio with this stay I booked far in advance, so that leaves me with reason to believe that because I had to switch my room (which once again was not my fault especially when the previous room was dirty) that I was charged the amount of someone not having a reservation and just walked in requesting a room.

    There was confusion on the room selection. I also discovered long hair on the top cover. My son and I are bald. When I went to the front desk there was no staff. I stood there awhile waiting to address the hair situation plus the toilet had issues flushing.

    Check -in was 3pm, but room was not ready until 6pm. Short staffed. Always had to wait for someone at front desk. Also read that housekeeping is daily and it's not. It's every 3 days according to manager. The second day I left towels on floor (as per sign in bathroom) if we wanted clean towels. Well the room wasn't touched so the dirty towels were still on floor when we got back to hotel at 11pm. Went down to front desk. NO TOWELS to shower with. Only 3 hand towels were available. The front desk agreed it was not right and said sorry. The next morning , the front desk assured us our room would get cleaned and get towels today. Came back at 10:30. ROOM was not touched!!!!!! This time I was able to get some thin thin "pool towels". This is not acceptable. Marriott should be ashamed. There was always police presence at the hotel. First, we were told there was a police convention when we checked in. Later to find out, there is always police there because of what/who is being housed there. This hotel is highly NOT RECOMMENDED.

    We asked every day for service as we were gone from early in the morning to late at night. We were given a different answer every day as to why they did not come. We even asked the maid directly and she said it's not on her list. We ended up buying our own cleaning supplies and air fresheners by the second day... thank you HEB! At the end of our stay we were instructed to contact Jessica the manager who was conveniently never there. Even Hotels.com could not reach her. This was the most difficult hotel stay I have ever had. I would avoid this place at all costs unless you really like doing everything yourself.

    The toilet in 110 was slow when we arrived. At midnight we notified the front desk the toilet backed up. They had no one to come check. We asked for a plunger and they didn’t have one. The TV would not change channels or change volume. The microwave in 106 did not work. There were only bagels at the breakfast buffet. They had eggs earlier but ran out.

    I have stayed at other Towneplace Suites but this was a disappointing. First, the neighborhood was a little sketchy. When we arrived in the room, the remote control was missing. We received a replacement but that didn't work either so we requested a new room. The room was fine and the TV worked but when I went to use the microwave, it shut off because it blew a fuse. I reset the fuse but it happened again.The room was clean but the hallways and part of the breakfast kitchen could have used a thorough cleaning. The staff was pleasant and accommodating. If we were staying more than one night, I would have changed my hotel.
