Affordable property. Need new pillows!

Only thing good about this hotel is the location. Got to the hotel around 1:00, was told I couldn’t check in until 3:00. Other guests were able to check in early and go straight to their rooms. Came back at 3:00, my room still wasn’t ready. Was told it’d be another 30 minutes. Watched housekeeping clean the room from the parking lot and around 3:40 I had enough and started taking my stuff up to the room anyway. Front desk person was horrible at communicating and couldn’t understand anything she was saying. She kept giving me the run around every time I’d ask if my room was ready after 3:00. Friend who stayed with my went to use the shower and the faucet was completely broken. When I booked the stay I requested a smoke free room, when I got into the room it reeked of smoke so my request wasn’t taken into consideration. I do not smoke so sleeping in a smoking room for hours was miserable.

It was a decent, safe place for the price centrally licated!

The staff and management are not helpful at this location. I’m mistakenly booked for the next Saturday when I arrived on the 16th. I booked thru hotel.com and even though I took a room for the 16th they told me they could not cancel and give me a refund for the mistake booking on the 23rd. I was told by the front desk to contact the manager to discuss a refund. For two days I’ve not been able to get anyone to answer their phone to discuss. Customer service is nonexistent at this location even though I have stayed here for years. I will never stay here again.

Room was clean. Very small parking lot. Breakfast was only 2 muffins coffee machine and fruit. Staff was friendly.

Aircon was way to loud and the curtains were dirty need to be replaced. Needs to be refurbished and renovated. Wouldn't stay there again.

The staff were pleasant and I liked the location It was not clean. The air barely worked. The water in the tub dripped all night. A piece of the tub facuet was on the counter. We had a room with two double beds and only had 2 rags and 2 towels. I felt dirty all night. We ran out of hot water (I have never in my life had this happen in a hotel)

Didn’t try the breakfast and room was decent. Glad there wasn’t carpet.

Absolutely would not recommend. Extremely dirty hotel, rust and stains everywhere, the room door doesn’t even seal properly, there’s a large opening at the bottom so you can hear absolutely everything and the traffic outside and won’t get a good night’s sleep. The pillows on the bed are decorative and the bathroom and clothing rack had so much rust that we were unable to use them.

I made a mistake on my reservation and they extended my stay with no problem, and gave me a better rate that I got thru Booking.com.

Fantastic hotel! We spent an amazing two weeks there. The room was clean and very well furnished, with a bathtub, an excellent hot shower, a microwave, a fridge, and, most importantly, a perfectly designed dedicated workstation with both backlight and front light. This made my teleconference calls extremely convenient and comfortable. We would also like to highlight the location. Since we do not drive at all, we were pleasantly surprised by how easy it was to get around. The nearest bus station was within walking distance, as well as Walmart, WorldMarket and other large stores, and several excellent restaurants nearby. The view from our window was great, with the city skyline visible both during the day and at night. The place is quiet, with excellent noise insulation. We did not hear guests from other rooms at all. Now, about the breakfasts. We genuinely appreciated them, despite what some other comments say here. COME ON, GUESTS!Two types of cornflakes, high-quality milk, excellent juice, cupcakes, coffee, bananas, and waffles on demand that you can make yourself in a waffle maker with maple syrup. What more do you need for breakfast? And if you do not find something, just ask. The breakfasts were so filling that we were not hungry for the rest of the day. We would also like to express our gratitude to the fantastic reception staff, especially Tom and Kevin - truly wonderful gentlemen! If we have to mention any downsides, there were a few minor issues with the cleaning staff. On one occasion, a cleaning lady of Mexican descent interrupted me two hours before our planned checkout while I was on an important conference call. Despite two "do not disturb" signs on the door, she knocked loudly, shouted, and opened the door. Additionally, we did not request cleaning for the entire two weeks in order not to bother them, yet at checkout she asked for a propina, which felt, in our view, somewhat inconsiderate. Overall, the cleaning staff were the only source of noise, often shouting to each other in the hallways. In our opinion, the administration should review the policy regarding respecting "do not disturb" signs, especially during working hours, as this can be quite disruptive and inappropriate for guests on professional calls. That said, we are confident this can easily be resolved with proper communication, and we believe future stays will be perfectly fine.

After looking at 3 different ones They sent me to 3 different room and 2 was dirty asf had condoms messed up sheets and beds

Room was not cleaned during the stay. Someone came in and made the bed each day, but trash wasn't emptied and we didn't get clean wash rags after the 1st day.

When trying to check in, the clerk asked if I could wait 15-20 minutes, because he was about to get off shift. The pillows were tiny, throw-pillow size, and the shower curtain kept falling down when I was trying to shower.

The beds were so hard and uncomfortable it was like sleeping on the floor. There was a coffee maker but there wasn't a pot or cup. Then curtains had something that was sprayed on them and ran down it.

I found a rodent droppings on my bed on the white sheets. I would have left the premises at that very moment if I were not too tired from my long drive. When initially I entered my room the light switch wouldn't work, I had to use my phone's flash light to find the switch on the desk lamp to be able to unpack. I made a promise not to ever book a room at Howard Johnson again.

Floors were filthy. Could adjust the AC temperature. Said offer free breakfast it was a packaged muffin the size of a quarter. Waffles only on the weekend. Not the Howard Johnson I expected like others I had stayed.

The room was clean and worked for just a place to stay overnight. No breakfast not even coffee, door had big gap under it letting in sounds from outside, air conditioner was stuck at like 50 something degrees and it was freezing, fold out couch was terrible, and when we asked for extra bedding they didn't give an extra blanket as well

It was pretty good only three things. I would say the bedsheets had a burn stain from cigarette. There were syrup on the desk that the housekeeping didn't see that I cleaned up and the showerhead because of the hard watering Texas needs to be soaked and some kind of acid calcium chemical, cause it limited the water coming out of the faucets other than that it was really clean though

The curtain rods were broken. So being at night, I had to leave all the lights off for privacy otherwise you could see right in. The floors were disgusting, hadn’t been mopped in at least weeks. Literally didn’t take my socks off until I was in the bed with my feet hanging off and put them on before standing out of the bed. Paper cups for the coffee machine were filled with mold on the interior - not at that point like I would have made coffee anyway. Who knows what was done with that coffee machine. People coming and going at all hours, noisy and slamming their room doors. My headboard was covered in lubed handprints. If I wasn’t arriving at 1:30am after a ten hour drive, I would have protested but at that point, I wasn’t even sure where to go. Got a minimum of sleep, maybe 3 hours, and high tailed it out of there. If anyone knows the reputation of the Days Inn in Oakland, CA…. This was league’s worse. The staff was pleasant enough, doubt they have much control over what I experienced. This is a management/owner issue. Absolutely do not recommend this hotel. Avoid at all costs.

Staff was unpleasant. There were multiple guests standing on the balcony talking loudly at midnight and again at 7 am the following morning. The incompetent employee working the front desk was unwilling to confront the loud and obnoxious group . Don’t stay here .

I had requested a non-smoking room. As soon as i opened the door, it was obvious someone had smoked in there. I went to the front desk and they immediately gave us another room and checked to make sure it was good. The room was clean and comfortable. It was easy to access and to get to everything near us that we needed.

Obviously no one answered the phone In the office either. So check-in completely sucked. No apology from the guy on duty on top of it. The room was run down and dingy. I don’t think the curtains have been washed for at least a decade. Dirty hand prints everywhere. There was a nasty brown smear on the wall over the bed way up toward the ceiling. I don’t even want to ask… The bedding was old and very tired. Cheap lumpy pillows, a gross old blanket. Yuk! The bathroom was equally dreary. The tub needs a serious upgrade. The door was chipped and nicked and would smash your knees if you sat on the toilet. The walls had stains. Really, what on earth did I pay over $100 for???? All in all, this is on the list of three worst hotels ever anywhere I’ve stayed in the world. I do NOT recommend.

Expected more from a Wyndham managed hotel. The venue was more like an old motel which is a 5-10min drive to the real city downtown. The beds were comfortable but you could tell the room itself had not been properly deep cleaned in some years and we didn't even get new towels

By a high traffic area so loud vehicle noise is a bit disruptive, but otherwise it is tucked away and privacy is nice

This property had, admittedly, just reopened not long ago, but it had an air of dereliction and was dark in the entrance and lobby areas. It smelled STRONGLY of bleach, like a crime scene had just been cleaned up.

The smell of the room was very muggy, dirty/dusty smelling. All pillows were old, flat and not even enough to fill a standard size pillow case. Remote control didn’t change channels. Only was able to turn tv on and off.

The room was nice. There where people outside that where drunk and being loud. We where not able to enjoy our stay. Loud noises of people hitting the walls. I had to go speak to the people outside to keep it down. We left early due to the noise.

Service was good. Coffee was great in the morning

The room wreaked of smoke, and there was some kind of violent fight at 4 am in a room nearby with loud yelling and a broken hotel room window in the morning. Will never stay there again.

Definitely would return for an overnight stay in Htown.

This is not. 4 star hotel. Bathroom door wouldn’t close bcz the toilet is in the way. Mold on wall in bathroom.

Dirty place.

Very run down, not worthy of being a Wyndham property. Not worthy of the Wyndham name. Also, no breakfast as advertised, and in a very bad neighborhood. Would never return.

Have a coffee maker in the room but there was coffee in the room.

Hotel was clean but a little run down. The beds were comfortable but carpet and drapes could use some care

The place was bad from the start. Smelled , not enough towels , tv wasn’t working. I tried calling the front desk three times no answer.

Location was good. It was noisy.

A big cockroach was in the room.

No frills and a dead roach in the bath tub. Made everything feel unclean. Price was a tad high for these conditions.

The hotel room was so lovely. Clean, beautifully decorated, spacious, great furniture! We will definitely be back!
