Always an amazing experience at the Hilton University of Houston hotel! It has always been my choice of hotel to stay at when I go to visit my daughter at the University of Houston. The associates are very friendly and always go above and beyond to make our stay more comfortable! The hotel is immaculate! The rooms are spacious and the beds are very comfortable! Breakfast isn’t included, but Eric’s restaurant on site serves delicious breakfast, lunch and dinner. There’s also a nice gym on the 3rd floor with up to date equipments. Overall, my family and I love this hotel! It can be expensive on some nights though!

The area is a construction site and that detracted from my expectations. I suspect it may be more convenient once the construction is completed. The staff I met on the first night was not warm and welcoming. This was in contrast to the other staffers I encountered during my stay. They were pleasant and helpful. The policy of charging persons for parking a few minutes in the parking lot for a pickup was quite surprising to me. It's not that someone is trying to use the parking lot without reason to access a building in the area. You are picking up someone who has paid to stay at the hotel. That should make a difference. I was however, satisfied with the way the supervisor handled our surprise at this situation. The reception area needs to be warmer and friendlier. It is very basic. I understand that this is a University Hotel, but the rate is not dirt cheap, so the lobby area could be improved to be more aesthetically pleasing.

Booked here for a graduation. It was a 15 min walk to the ceremony, so it wasn’t too bad. Room was clean and spacious. Bed was a little uncomfortable for my wife and I, but overall, it was a good stay

I can't remember the last time I stayed at a hotel that was this immaculately clean. Housekeeping staff was incredible. Most front line staff are students from the University and you can feel how excited they are to be learning their craft. Awesome experience all around. Would go back in a heartbeat.

Hotel was great. Staff was great. Breakfast at the restaurant was great. Our only complaint is the hours for the pool (rec center) change every day and can change throughout the day so when we wanted to swim we missed every window that they were open. Other than that great stay.

The property wasn’t busy at all, plenty of convenient parking spots available and friendly staff. The bed hurt my back, but otherwise everything was great.

This hotel was very nice, staff was excellent. My main transportation was uber/Lyft, it was very challenging and confusing for the driver's to know where to pick us up, which resulted in some cancelled rides.

Location since it’s near the school where I have business with. wasn’t able to sleep due to other guests going in and out of their room banging their doors during the night until morning. There was no readily available hair dryer in the room. Check-in hour starts so late.

The bathroom needs to be more ADA with handles

So convenient to the event we were in town for. Was at the Cullen Center on campus. A short walk from hotel to concert. A little hard to get to with current construction but that’s no fault of the facility.

The hotel was very conveniently located for what we had planned this weekend. Staff was very friendly from check-in to check-out. Breakfast was delicious and I loved the variety of options available.

Super close walk to the stadium and not a far drive to downtown Houston also, very convenient and easy to get to (inexpensive uber rides to downtown and so much to do down there!). Rooms was wonderful- spacious, comfortable, very comfy beds!! Staff was so friendly and nice and helpful! Breakfast was delicious!! Even though there was a cost to the breakfast, the restaurant at Eric's was exceptional!! All was wonderful!

The room was large and the bed and pillows were comfy. We ate breakfast and dinner in the restaurant onsite. Both were very good, but the dinner items were exceptional. The staff were very conscientious and caring. Overall the air conditioning was rather chilly. We were able to change that in our room but had to wear a light jacket during meals.

This hotel will be rated even higher once UH completes this massive construction project (in 2027) - the front entrance is completely blocked, and it’s confusing to know where to be dropped off due to detours and one-way streets. However, once you enter the hotel, it’s quite nice here, and the front desk staff is excellent.

Location My luggage was left behind and no one contacted me about my luggage. When I realized that my luggage was missing, I contacted the front desk. Front desk conveyed that the luggage was not in the office and that they would have housekeeping contact me.

The hotel hence take advantage of this particular clientele to overcharge for they offer. The Hotel is old, the carpets are old, the AC unit not only old and very noisy but the air sanitation is questionable. The Amenities are poor, the checking/reception area is uninviting, they have those showcases of the hotel history, who gives a damn about their history, but no comfortable seating, no TVs, no continental breakfast, not even complimentary water or coffee/tea you find usually hotels of comparable stars. This is done in purpose to force patrons to use their cafeteria (Eric’s Restaurant which is a restaurant only in the sense that they over charge for their plates). Parking is a separate surcharge. The flagrant greed is apparent in that the hotel is staffed essentially by students in The Hospitality Département taking advantage of them and paying them peanuts without benefits. Add to all of that, the hotel, because it is part of the hospitality department of the university, may be benefitting from low or no state/federal taxes, low utilities bill, and low or no cost of the landscaping and beatification environment. That means taxe payers are subsidizing the hotel indirectly and paying higher prices for their stay than what they would pay at a comparable hotel, and getting shittier accomo

Very clean, quiet, and cool! Close to our events and lots of pretty outdoor areas nearby. Some construction had some roads closed, but it was still manageable, and we enjoyed the hotel and especially the staff! Trey was so helpful and courteous!

We've stayed here a number of times and have always been happy; this time was not the same. We tried to check in at 4:30 and were told the room wasn't ready even though it was past check-in time. We ended up having to wait in the car until 5. They offered to waive parking, but then when we go the receipt, we found they had waived it and then re-added it. We had dinner at the restaurant, and it wasn't very good at all. My rare steak came out well done, and food quality wasn't anywhere near what it was in the past. Then the fire alarm went off and we had to evacuate while fire department investigated. Finally, water pressure in the shower was awful, it would get very strong, then very weak and alternate ever 3-5 seconds the entire time, like the pump couldn't keep up. The shower didn't drain well either, so you were standing in an inch or more of water waiting for the pressure to come back enough to wash your hair. I think we'll likely look for something else next time.

Greatly maintained property on the campus of University of Houston. We stayed while we visited our friend, it was super convenient. It’s off the highway so you’ll need a car to get around.

I enjoy coming to this hotel every time I’m in Houston because there is always something going on. There are great employees very personable. They are consistent I know what I’m going to get and it’s always great! The food is good and the service is always great!

This is a lively hotel. Being in the University of Houston Campus, it feels very secure and safe. The property is extremely clean and all of the staff are too notch in the service they provide. I had a wonderfully peaceful time during my stay. I could not connect my laptop to the TV in the room, however the TV comes with services like Netflix and YouTube and others a customer may connect to. So I was satisfied with funding entertainment any time I was in the room.

Not a walkable area. I would like to suggest having at least 2 chairs in the rooms. Only 1 chair in the room. So l or my husband could sit in the chair and the other had to sit on the bed.

The service in the restaurant Eric’s was terrible but the rest of the staff was awesome!

“I had a wonderful stay at the Hilton. One concern: the outlet to the right of the desk wasn’t installed properly. When plugging something in and removing it, the outlet plate slightly comes off the wall, which could be a potential hazard. Additionally, the bedside clock is quite bright. Other than that, my experience was excellent, and the Blackened Salmon was amazing!” Thank You

Quiet and safe university area away from the traffic of Houston but only 10 min from downtown. Big and very clean rooms. One of the nicest Marriott's I have stayed in. Thank you to the excellent staff.

We LOVE this Hilton. But in our bathroom, one of the amenities boxes (that was supposed to have q-tips, etc. in it) was just an empty box and the mothwash was already opened. The seal was broken. Made us nervous to use it and it just looked full so it was put right back on the sink. Also, elevators were super slow when we got there, and then eventually were out of service the whole time we were there. Only the far one past the help desk was working. Bartender was great as always and front staff is always really nice.

This is the only hotel I stay at when I’m in Houston. The staff is always friendly and make you feel like family!! We love it here there staff is always pleasant Travis, Brooke, Shar, Joshua, Laura. Management, front desk, kitchen staff they are all amazing people!

We had an issue with inserting parking ticket on machine had to get another ticket, when I went to service desk my husband was treated by attitude and as soon as he walked away the unnecessary comments under their breathe happened. My daughter had an event at school that lasted longer than expected and we asked for courtesy late check out but immediately was told NO and hotel had plenry of empty rooms we checked online, I’m sad to think my daughter is going to school at UofH and I would have to be welcomed by that kind of behavior and service all the time.

My niece graduated from U of H and we chose this hotel as it was on campus and convenient for commuting to commencement. The hotel staff was nice and they were attentive to all of our needs. There’s the campus coffee shop right across from the hotel and a restaurant inside. Room was clean and modern. Shout out to Vincent who texted to check on every day of our stay. I definitely recommend.
