Hotel was clean. Breakfast bar was amazing. Something to eat for everyone. We will be staying there from now on.

Clean room, spacious..... the late night area store came in handy being extra thirsty and grabbing a water before hitting the room. The lounge and bar area was a great option to eat quickly instead of wandering downtown.

Location and staff were wonderful. Fixtures in the bathroom definitely needed to be replaced. Mattress was not at all comfortable. AC didn’t seem to cool to the temp. when turning it cooler. Would recommend the management take on some renovation’s.

The staff were exceptional and friendly. Loved the Astros team spirit at the property. Great family weekend at the ballpark, even with the rain on Saturday. The ponchos from the front desk staff were helpful! Close proximity to the ball park and local eateries.

Overall bad experience my room Ac was not working slept through the first night with the temperature at 76 called and complained they were able to send maintenance to check the air conditioning unit and still the problem wasn't fixed left the room for over 4 hours and gave them the benefit of the doubt that it will be fixed and nothing called again to complain and finally they were able to move me rooms

Great location for an Astros game. Staff was very friendly and breakfast was a nice variety of food. Valet parking was high and was told it was the only Option. Valet was very friendly and very quick when we needed the car but and extra $60 a night is alot.

Breakfast was well maintained and fresh. The bathroom had a sink drain that could not open or close. The shower could only work as a shower not a tub bath.

Interesting location for just a day or two but nothing more. They were doing renovations to the ceiling right by the elevator doors which has a good amount of foot traffic, that didn’t feel safe. The rooms were mostly clean but some walls had big scuff marks.

Beds are okay, WiFi is terrible and drops every 10 minutes. Other than that the staff and complimentary breakfast are great!

All hotel employees were nice, and professional. But I really have to highlight the Valet employees and front desk. Any question or request of them was handled as efficiently as possible (and always to my satisfaction).

Every thing was great but one small issue was the shower, for some odd reason the pressure of the water was going low like to the point of almost shutting off and back to high again, but it only did it 2 times each session and it went back to normal

The hotel atmosphere is nice. The complimentarry breakfast is good. The gym has the essential. Near to restaurants and there is a park just across the street.

They were kind enough to hold my bags for a few hours after I checked out so I could stroll around the convention floor one last time before headed home. They are walking distance from Diakin Park, George R Brown Convention Center, Discovery Green, and Toyota Center. They aren't too far from the middle of downtown (main street corridor) and the walk isn't bad, but there is a light-rail stop near the hotel for those who want an alternative to walking.

The valot staff was excellent. Fatah was amazing. He deserves a raise and was such a gentleman. His ci workers were also great. They are polite and personable with their clients. Great work by their staff.

The room was very clean, staff very friendly, professional and helpful. The breakfast bar had wide variety foods, freshly prepared. We utilized the shuttle service that takes you anywhere within a mile radius of the hotel. It made our trip much easier with 2 young children.

We had no hot water the entire stay. We called multiple times. Maintenance came and it was fixed temporarily. The water turned back to cold mid-shower. Follow through with issues did not happen.

Our stay was very pleasant, we wanted somewhere within close walking distance of the convention center and public transport and the location of this hotel was perfect. Perhaps the best part of our stay were the amazing breakfast options each day! I can’t think of any issues with the property, there seemed to be renovations going on in the lobby but even that had no impact on our stay, no noise and no major obstructions.

I don’t know if it was the supervisor that kept on checking up on us, but he was amazing. Just the staff overall amazing. They gave me suggestions of where to go to eat. I was treated with respect and kindness even when I had to leave my luggage behind they were so professional and understanding about it and even when I had to wait for my lift to leave, they let me wait in the lobby, which was amazing because it made me feel safe. I will be booking again next year in the same hotel. At least for my experience, everything went amazing so I don’t really have anything to comment on

The hotel does not offer complimentary bottle water, the shower gel in the shower was empty, and the lighting in the bathroom was very poor, they need to update those lights in the bathroom. The restaurant does not offer room service that was another inconvenience.

I was in town for the Houston marathon. The hotel made so many accommodations for the runners! They opened breakfast early, had snacks and water available in the lobby the morning of the race and they had a late checkout. It was a great stay.

They had a little store with drinks and snacks, with self-checkout. The pool and the gym were awesome. They had a real gym not a treadmill and some dumbbells. The staff was so helpful and polite. Absolutely lived this hotel. Only draw back was the fire alarm and evacuation around 130 am. Upon checkout the customer service rep Ivy i think was her name knee locked up and she repeatedly said Jesus F..k. Probably should refrain from that language as a representative of Hilton.

I cannot remember the valet’s name but he was very accommodating. The valet was calm but responsive during the fender bender between the two Metro buses. He checked on everyone and assessed the situation. Wolf was friendly and knowledgeable. Hotel was clean and breakfast was great.

The Hampton Inn is my favorite hotel to stay at. The breakfast options are great and the staff are always courteous and friendly. The rooms have a very 'homey' atmosphere inside. I look forward to the trips I have planned for the near future in Houston. Always so excited!

Was given handicap accessible room. Think the bathroom floor was coming unglued and the shower head was not spraying well due to scale buildup.

Everything was great and the staff was extremely friendly! It was in the middle of all the places we wanted to see. We didn’t do valet parking, so we parked on the street. We did end up having our car keyed, so we will definitely pay the extra for valet parking next time!

Very welcoming staff, super helpful. The breakfast was delicious! Room was spacious and clean. Downtown Houston isn't the greatest, but I came to this hotel knowing that these positives inside would make up for the negatives in the area itself. Thank you Hampton Staff!

I felt very comfortable and safe here.. the Employees are terrific and courteous..the pool was pristine clean and the restraunt and bar were spot on... the breakfast was very enjoyable and there was plenty of offerings, all delicious!

But it wasn’t enough to keep me awake. I’d definitely stay here again. Oh and park in the lot across from the entrance for overnight parking for $30 as an option to the valet $60. But it’s only good from 530p-930a and they will put a boot on if you go over.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Hampton. The service was amazing. The drinks at the bar, food at the restaurant, and dessert later were all delicious. The breakfast was full of great options from yogurt to waffles. Valet service was pricey but efficient.

My stay wasn’t all that bad but it wasn’t the best either. I wasn’t put in the room I chose. The rug had this nasty smell and felt sticky. Then had a problem with the tv volume that took two days to fix. Didn’t like the part of no parking garage/anywhere to park without paying. Over all I gave them 6/10 the location is great.

Parking was expensive (or I should say more expensive then I am used too). I didn't see a price for parking on the site except for the valet parking and assumed parking was free. The clerk at the front desk double charged me for the room deposit and when speaking with him, I was trying to get an understanding of the charges and he continued to cut me off when I was speaking. He was very unprofessional. But other than that it was a very peaceful stay.

The staff were very friendly. The shower has not been cleaned in awhile. The grout had a slime build up on it.

We liked that is was in walking distance to the Houston Astro ballpark. We went to see the Texas Rangers play. We did have circle the property once until saw the little sign. We did like the valet parking. Shampoo was out in the bathroom, but the staff took care of that. This is robably the best refrigerator we've had. Drinks are cold to the point they would have slush in them. Overall its a great place to stay.

Friendly courteous and professional staff, cleanliness of hotel lobby and rooms. Great selections at the continental breakfast. Valet was courteous and quick.

Check in was very slow. Four people behind the desk but only one was dealing with customers. She must have been new because there was another employee helping her through the process. I had requested connecting rooms but didn’t get them and wasn’t given a reason why. Same speed in the morning for check out. Not as many people behind desk but pretty much same philosophy as check in. Reservation was made a couple of weeks before our stay. Everything else was good. Valet service is top notch.

The Front Staff (Desk staff) was very friendly. The Room was nice and very clean. I think at night there should be more security guards in the lobby. Our first night at the hotel and big group of drunken men were about to get to start this brawl with another group of men and the staff. I think Hampton Inn should hire big muscle security guards.

If you have stayed in enough hotels and travel often, they all start running together. This one was right in the middle. Nothing bad nothing great which can sometimes be good (enough). $60 for parking plus tax and tip for the area is extremely excessive. Free breakfast was one of those you get what you pay for meals. I recommend parents grab the coffee and kids get your standard “fresh” hotel waffle and walk away. We have just entered an era where more effort is spent on advertising a quality experience than providing one.

Great hotel. Friendly staff. Baseball centric being right down the street and what I was in town for. My only complaint is that it’s very loud outside the hotel and you can hear everything. After the game I had an early flight the next day and, cars, trolleys, music, people and more were heard until 2 in the morning. Felt like I was living in a collage apt building with paper walls again.

Big spacious rooms. Clean and comfortable.

Was in town just for a night. At check in, I asked about a late checkout. The front desk advised that she could do a noon late checkout. That was perfect! Gave me a chance to sleep in after driving for the last 5 hours and checking in close to 1 am. However, that didn’t go as planned. At 10:30 am, I received a call from the front desk who left the line open while talking to a customer and completely forgetting they dialed my phone number. Then 30 mins later, house keeping knocking at my door. So I jumped up at this point to let her know i had a late checkout. Then wouldn’t you know it, 11:30, I get another knock at the door. Again, it’s house keeping. Where is the communication in this place. No one talks to anybody. Yeah last time I stay at this place. They seem to apply pressure to get you out. I recommend finding another place to stay if your plans are to sleep in.

Rooms are dated and carpeting is coming up, not vacuumed when cleaned-pretzel pieces on the floor

Wonderful stay and the staff were very friendly. My room was clean and well stocked with towels. The refrigerator worked.

Friendly and walking distance to restaurants

All of the people I interacted with, especially the valets were wonderful. The room was clean and spacious. The only downside was that it is a somewhat noisy location since it's in downtown Houston. More specifically, the outlets in the room gave off a high-pitched noise most of the time. I think it was the TV.

Omg!!! Trisha at the front desk was wonderful shes sweet polite very customer service oriented. Gentleman at the bar qho took my food order cooks delicious i ordered wings cobb salad shrim tacos and a chicken breast plate with cilantro lime rice!! Our food was delicious and very satisfying!!! At time of checkout young ladies at the front were nice and polite too. Will definitely come back to visit and stay here again.

The location was convenient to our venue Thursday evening. It was a pleasant stay. Also my second time at this hotel.

Proximity to baseball park

The property is located downtown across from a paid parking lot. When you the property’s address in the GPS the other property comes up (you pay over $30 every six hrs). I called to make sure I was at the correct address, the girl in Customer Service didn’t know. Saw others with luggage& it was directed across, so we parked. Went into check-in, was told Valet was $59 for the day. So, I had to move car, because I didn’t know about the changes, every few hours across the street. I wish I was told about parking right away. I spent a lot of money for one night. I just wish I were told sooner.

The staff were all very helpful, and the parking valets are super nice. They really took great care of us and are a fun group too.

Also, there was mold on two of the pillows my daughter slept on which triggered her asthma. I told the front desk about this and I was told the manager will call me. So far no one did! Overall the stay was just ok.

The room itself was fine. Room scheduled for cleaning on day 2, but it never happened. Finally, the bar staff were great but the restaurant food was not. If not for the proximity to the ballpark, it would have been a total let down.

It’s nice and well located. I perceived a bit of a humid smell however and we didn’t get housekeeping until we asked for it on the 4th day of being there!

Great value and it’s listed as 3 stars but it’s easily 4 stars. Clean comfy and everyone was super nice.

The rooms and public spaces were clean and lots of room. The staff was very friendly and very welcoming and very helpful. We really enjoyed our time there.

Book the hilton, not the marriott, which is across the park for a better sleep.

Found bed bugs and bad smell in room, rash on face most likely due to unclean sheets, they were really accommodating about it and provided full refund
