Motel 6 Georgetown, TX

Location, next-door is Shipley’s donuts on the other side is a 24 hour Jack-in-the-Box gas station across the street and a whole lot of restaurants around. Well managed clean property. Entrance is close to intersection the locals anticipate you and some are kind enough to let you through. Wait time isn’t bad.

Ethan was great despite our problems. Main problem hotels, 2 , AC sucked. Can't sleep if it's hot. But Ethan did his best to take care of our problem. Moved to another hotel the next night.

Location, cold room, felt safe, surrounded by local eats. 2 other room rented by my recommendation. They were very pleased with their rooms. There was an excessive amount of gnats in the room. Bathroom door was broken, could not close, frame was broken. I am a smoker, the room smelled like cigarettes (extreme).

Was put in a smoking room and was not asked when checking in. Bed sheets and entire room stank. Had a big fall out of my clothes the next morning. AC was very noisy. Building was in poor repair. Lobby doors stuck and were over lapping.

To be perfectly honest, I hate Motel 6. They just happen to be the cheapest...and for a single traveler just needing a place to stay for the night, it works. But they are awful. This one...the one in Georgetown...is one of the nicer Motel 6s I've been to. That isn't saying much...but, it'll do. That's about as nice as I can get.

There were at least 20 dead bugs in the light in the bathroom. The only over head light was out. We called it in the first night at 5:15pm and was never replaced. The front door knob wasn't working properly. The light would turn green when you used the door key but it wouldn't disengage the lock until you messed with it a lot. We had to get the staff to help us with it at midnight.

Dozens of roaches. Shower fixtures were loose in the wall with gaps. 1 travel size bar of soap in the shower; no shampoo. Soft, lumpy mattress. Not even close to being worth the rate they charged.

Location was great!! I'm assuming there was a bikers convention....they were super loud, didn't sleep well the first night.

Had a nice stay. Almost missed the motel at arrival because the building office did not have any signs on it, looks like the office may have recently undergone a remodel. The room was clean and comfortable. The only complaints i have is the bathroom smelt like it had been smoked in abd the tv volume was hard to hear even when tyrned all the way up. Over all for the price I would definitely stay there again.

Honestly not as good as my first time. They didn’t have rooms ready upon checkin. They couldn’t find the credit card when they did find the reservation. The room I had smelt horrible. There were more homeless people in the parking lot. Parking was an issue I got a door ding because of how close the spots were. And pulling in and out at 5pm is almost imposssible.

Convenient to the highway a lot of eating facilities, one right across the parking lot 24 hours. The young lady that checked me in with professional, kind and polite. She was also there when I checked out. My room was clean non-smoking room. Except the bathroom, the door was closed and it reeked of a cigarette. The young lady that checked me in, gave me some room freshener to use and I returned it to her when I was done. Said if I need anything else to let her know, I left the vent on and it cleared up

There is so much wrong with this, we are not in Mexico so if your not willing to learn English then go back to where they speak your language. This location does not serve breakfast. There was coffee in the lobby which was welcome. Only had rooms on second level. I had requested first floor because of health issues, but this was a last minute so there were none available.

The only issue I have is being awakened at a very early hour to extremely loud Hispanic music. Not cool. I know it wasn't the hotels fault but my issue is with the person that was blasting the music. It was very inconsiderate to do this at a hotel early in the morning and to not be respectful of the other guests who may not t necessary have to be up before dawn. It was just not necessary to have the music so loud that it shakes the windows and interrupts sleeping guests. I didn't complain to the hotel ,because I know it was out of there control. I just wanted to give some insight into some people that stay here from time to time so it may help them to keep in mind that they should be a little more considerate of others. However, I don't speak Spanish so they may never get to know what this sais unless of course they have an English to Spanish Translation enabled on there devices.

Location We stayed two nights. Wet towels were not replaced and there were no bars to hang them to dry. Trash were not emptied and the bed was not made. I will never stay at a Motel 6 again.

I did like the low price for the late check-in however after I checked in there was a sketchy looking man sitting in his car directly in front of the room I was supposed to check into I had my cane pit mixed with me and she didn't like him at all she was like up against the windows I was scared to get out of the car but I asked him to move so I can be in front of my room and he did so but then he asked me if my dog was a nice doggy and if he could pet her and I said if you want to draw back a knob well he walked back and forth in front of the room all night so the dog barked I didn't get any sleep the door looks like I've been kicked in three or four times by God knows who and when I left and checked out in the morning the man was still sitting in his car doing drug deals or whatever and I did tell the management I stayed there before and it was just fine but this was a horrible night not one drop of sleep and I didn't even bother taking a bath or anything I just laid Real steel and hoped he would go away of course I knew he'd have to go through my dog to get to me if he did cuz the door didn't even shut it had a big one inch Gap where you could look right through the door jamb I had to hang a blanket over that

This parking lot was kind of hard to get into very busy road. The check in was easy the guy was super nice. Room was clean, for this price point definitely the better option that others in town

Limited. Just coffee A/C in room couldn't keep up and dripping into room. They put a bucket down rather than fixing the problem. Building is a bit worn and needing maintenace but at least room was clean and usable.

I reserved due to the price, and since I didn't have my family with me. Was pleasantly surprised at the room, bed, and the spacious bathroom. Very close to downtown and the University. If 35 is busy, there is a back road option that super easy.

I was pleasantly surprised by the size of the motel room. It was enormous and very well-appointed for such a low price. There was a full-sized refrigerator and a gas cooktop. Convenient and easy to find.

This was my 2nd stary at this location. Likely won't return. Place was dirtier than i recalled. Housekeeping was incomplete daily. No water pressure in the shower. Broken toilet paper holder. Room appeared clean but there were holes in the wall which I had to put a cloth in and there were small roaches in bathroom and on bedside nightstand. You could say it serves its purpose for the price. Will not stay there again.

Staff is friendly. You have shade trees on one side and can hear birds singing all morning long. That’s nice. If you are on a budget, this place is gonna do the trick.

Hotel room was filthy, half a dozen crickets inside our ceiling light. No toiletries or hair dryer. Room did not even have a do not disturb sign. Very dissatisfied.

It was an alright motel little noisy a couple nights but had nothin to do with hotel it was just drunk Mexicans staying there for work they cleaned my room daily none of my stuff was stolen and there were no bugs so all in all it was a good experience.

We were very pleasantly surprised about our stay at motel six in Georgetown! The bed was super comfortable, and we got a great night sleep. Across the street there was a large store that had delicious food!

From around 10:20-10:45 AM, THREE more people came by to knock on the door and ask if we were checking out by 11 AM and rudely rushes us to get out of the room! We were fully aware of the time and when we needed to be out by. We slept later because during the night, so many things occurred that did not allow us to sleep well. To begin with, uncomfortable beds, at 3-4 AM there were people arguing outside. Around 5 AM, our room started smelling like marijuana smoke. At 6 AM, someone was banging on the door next door. Never again staying at this Motel 6. DO NOT RECOMMEND them at all. Most hotels were booked this weekend so this was our last option.

Very convenient to a conference I attended. Simple hotel, but clean, looks well maintained, and affordable.

One of the best we’ve stayed in! The room was clean, no smells. The water pressure was super…no drizzling there! The bed was very comfortable. We would definitely stay there again if we’re ever that way again.

There was a real bug problem, I think crickets. After one jumped on me in bed, I had to use a bug spray. The next morning there were at least 15 dead ones. The bug problem was unsatisfactory

The area is getting rundown. Room is clean and functional Beds are lumpy and water pressure in shower is poor. To spend one or two nights on business is ok.

Only issue was light went out again in the bathroom after it was replaced and the option of not getting extra pillows. When you lay on the mattress you, you went low. Staff was friendly, loved the convenience of gas station 1 minute away for supplies or the Jack in the Box next door.

The only problem is this room smells really bad and it’s too late to do anything about it.

First, there’s limited parking. Second, there was a group of men camped out directly in front of my door for 3 hours, smoking and drinking beer. As a woman traveling with my disabled son, it was VERY uncomfortable having those men congregating outside my door. Interior was cheap and cracking in many places. Bed was comfortable but got little sleep due to the noisy surroundings, pipes made noise, every time you flushed the toilet it emitted a high pitch whine for 10 minutes, people stomping upstairs, paper thin walls allowing you to hear conversations in rooms with connecting walls, etc. No shampoo in shower, no coffee, no clock. Finally, the TV’s input function had been disabled so I could not use my Roku, stuck with basic cable.

Hotel was listed as a 3 star hotel. I give it an overall 1 star. AC was half working, zero noise cancelling and could hear every foot step in the parking lot from the 2nd floor.

Facities were a little rough and not worth the nightly rate. Bathtub drain broken, alarms kept going off, tv didn't work, bed was really uncofrtable. Overall not a good vibe.

The worst stay in my life! You should really not associate yourselves with this place. Walls are paper thin and there are gaps in the door. First night the neighbors started partying at midnight. Super noisy and finally stopped at about 3 am and the snoring began. It seemed like the guy was in our room. Then someone pulled the fire alarm. The siren woke us up at 3:30 am and the ringing didn’t stop until 3:45 am by then we couldn’t go back to sleep. The following night the rowdy crowd started at 1:00 am duh the drinking, yelling, laughing followed by fighting. We were actually scared they were going to break down our door. Once again we weren’t able to sleep! At check out I told the front desk clerk and she said she would look into it. Unfortunately I paid over $500 for a 2 night stay in this hell hole. I wouldn’t stay here if it was free!!

I really liked the building. Classic old motel with outside access to the rooms and build from old limestone on the outside, but modern and clean in the rooms. Many options for eating slode by. Friendly staff. Good coffee in the morning.

Reasonable price and close to restaurants.

Was a very comfortable stay. Mattress was perfect. Shower nice and powerful and plenty hot. Will consider staying here in future on next trip.

The stairwell rail was rusted out. It moved when you held on to it. The building was damaged. Couldnt park near entrance when checking in. It was blocked off. It was okay for an overnight stay.

Rude and unprofessional manger threaten me tow my vehicle that was oversized not semi friendly will never use this hotel again

It had caution tape around tbd front entrance . The stairs to the rooms are falling apart .. There is nothing good about the property , except that the sheets had been washed with a copious amount of bleach … Horrible !

Room smelled funky. Restroom wasn’t cleaned properly. I just slept 5 hours to rest and didn’t use the shower because I didn’t feel it was clean enough 😞

Good for over night business trip. We go every 6 weeks. It’s convenient.

Room smells like cigarettes and mariguana, I went to used the toilet and after that the toilet was with poop all over we could just stay 2:00 am I preferred drive back to Houston than stay or sleep there. Also the room is like I haven’t check out and I returned the card around 2:00 am you can verify with the other lady when I checked out very unprofessional lady when I mentioned there “we are living for the very bad condition of the room” and she very sarcastic way told me “okay bye have a good day” Don’t go to this place
