Reviews
The Stoneleigh Hotel in Dallas is well-loved for its prime location and accommodations, with many guests praising the staff's friendliness and helpfulness. However, there are recurring issues with cleanliness, maintenance, and noise, as well as concerns about the value for money and the quality of certain amenities.

The decor is immaculate as the hotel just completed a high investment renovation. Bed was more comfortable than average but that is always subjective. The central HVAC was quiet. L-O-V-E-D the backlit Art Deco burled wood mini bar with lower cabinet mini-fridge in the Jr. King Suite! Each room is a little different and there are a few levels of accommodation so ask lots of questions or do research before choosing your room type. The bathrooms are clean and elegant. For the rooms being 103x years old it's amazing how well everything is. The pool is on the smaller side but very inviting and there's wonderful pool deck seating where you can hang out with friends or family in the evening. This is a fantastic place to stay as a couple. Not encourage families with children to stay here unless they are teens or adult children as the entire property is geared toward a more sophisticated ambiance and not "playland" for Sally and Tommy. When the rain cells roll through town, the huge awning over the valet area helps immensely to keep from getting drenched while hitching a ride. Zero regrets staying here and look forward to being back for the next adventure with my lady. Room service had not started yet (early May 2026) and that was missed. However, it should be starting sometime in June 2026?

Very friendly and professional staff. Beautifully decorated charming, historic hotel. Highly recommend.

Disappointed. Very outdated rooms and bath Mold everywhere in bathtub. Street noise loud ALL night. Used to be our go to hotel but will not book again.
- 2/5
The room was new and furnishings were nice We were not advised that the hotel was under renovation. The noise level was high, there were no bar or dining facilities, breakfast was included but mediocre at best, and it was served in the lobby with construction noise outside.

Oh, and the hotel needs to add an elliptical machine to the very roomy gym -- tons of space where this can fit. Can't remember ever using a hotel gym that didn't have this basic cardio machine (and I travel 200+ nights a year).

Room was large, clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly. The hotel is being renovated, so a little messy and not all amenities were available. Nice hotel in great uptown location.

The AC in my room would not drop below 75° overnight, there’s renovation on the property and there were also patches in the ceiling. The bar restaurant was closed for renovation, and the entry way for the venue was a walking hazard as well as out of the way. I enjoy going to Marriott hotels because of their quality of service, but I’m concerned that the cost of my stay did not match the experience. I would love to hear feedback from the property management.

Construction , no room service, no restaurant, no bar....makeshift set up serving very limited selection of food in styrofoam boxes and some cocktails in plastic cups.....clearly, I would have stayed elsewhere had I been informed at the time of my reservation. This was a VERY expensiv e room.

Loved Everything about this hotel. Great staff, spacious rooms, great location. Will be back when the restaurant and hotel remodeling has finished. Wish the room had more decor. Room really had very little character. A bit plain to be honest. However, we love spacious rooms and they definitely are big. We will return in March.

The hotel is in the middle of reconstruction so some of the amenities that we were looking forward to making use of were unavailable. The staff was as accommodating as they could be and we enjoyed our stay none the less. We are looking forward to the renovations being done, as I'm sure the rest of the staff are as well.

Nice hotel, under construction so didn’t get the best lens to write a review. I will say that the windows on the Maple street side are paper thin and you can hear EVERYTHING happening outside, especially the bar across the street (which the bar is very great and the owner is very nice). You definitely need a sound machine to drown out the noise, if not, then enjoy hearing everyone enjoying outside.

The pillows are awful full of hard balls. There was no hair conditioner in the shower, and they only put hand soap once, they’re supposed to check everything. The room has a great size but with no good service it’s not enough. We deserved a compensation for the bad service, but as I said not even an apology.

The "restaurant" was terribly Understaffed. They had one poor man working this so-called restaurant. tons of guest for parent's weekend and there's this make-shift restaurant/bar in the middle of the lobby with ONE person working the whole thing. You can't get a drink before 5pm..and you'll wait in a long line for that one drink.

This was a very strange hotel experience. The staff almost completely ignored me from the moment I got out of the taxi when the valet didn't even look up from his phone to greet me. The staff was often sitting/standing together chatting and never greeted me (or anyone). I love a historic property and wanted to like this place. I won't be back.

I had a wonderful stay but the price of the room and especially the parking fee of 50 dollars a day (plus tips for the valet) were way too high, I had no idea the parking was the price it was. It was not clear on the reservation and there were so many added fees iit almost doubled the cost. There are other comparable hotels not nearly that expensive. It’s a lovely old hotel but I won’t be staying there again.

The Le Meridian Stoneleigh is in a great location surrounded be exquisite bars and restaurants just a short walk from the hotel. The hotel is a historic property that was renovated to become a top destination in Uptown Dallas. The pool is nice and expansive. They even hold fitness classes poolside, like yoga, in the morning. Perfect just to hangout. Bar and restaurant serve very tasty meals. I stayed in a large room with a king bed on the 7th floor that overlooked the pool and it was perfect. The bed and linens need to be upgraded.

My friends and I stayed at this property because of its location, which is close to the American Airlines Arena. I liked my room, as it was spacious. However, there were no Keurigs in the room to make coffee or tea. We did ask for one, and the front desk said they would deliver it, but nothing happened. The cleaning staff also did not refill the body wash. The Valet crew, on the other hand, was much nicer and very helpful. We were pretty much being ignored the entire time. It's an odd experience, but I would still recommend it if anyone comes to the AA Arena in the future.

The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. My room was clean and well stocked. My only complaint would be the TV was confusing to work. I had to press 3 every time and then watch the guide to see what I wanted to watch. If I wanted to change to something else, I had to do the same thing. But luckily I didn't need to watch TV too much. We ate in your dining room for breakfast each day and it was good. The food came out a little cool instead of hot, but tasted fine. Would have been nice to have hot eggs and english muffin though.

I liked the location but the front desk staff was rude for each interaction I had with them. They neglected to give me the breakfast vouchers that were included in my stay and then acted like it was my fault somehow. The room also smelled, I told them and they came in and sprayed the carpet and then I noticed a large brown stain on the carpet. If the carpet smells that badly and is stained they should get the carpet cleaned instead of trying to cover up the smell. The also don't have apps on the TV for you to sign into, just cable to watch.

The hotel has sensors that turn off the AC when you’re not in your room. The problem is this hotel is in Texas. So, even if the sensor is working, it takes an hour to cool your room down below 76. Our problem was the sensor didn’t even work so we couldn’t get the room cooled below 76. We had to have maintenance to our room at 10pm both nights we stayed just in an attempt to cool the room down where we could sleep.

A lot of the staff seemed stressed and, at times, we felt like an inconvenience. I wonder if the hotel values its staff? Perhaps, if they did, then the staff would be more welcoming and caring to the guests. Breakfast was chaotic. It’s a menu only service and they don’t really have capacity if it gets busy. If you book breakfast inclusive, you get a $20 voucher, which doesn’t cover the full cost. Reception staff could be more welcoming and helpful.

I called them back and they offered no resolution to the problem, said it was policy. so I informed them it would be my policy to not stay there anymore! They are about to start a major renovation that will create more chaos than there already is! there's plenty of other nicer hotel in the area. This is my last time!!!!!

This is our second stay at Le Meridien and it never disappoints. Located in a great area where you can easily walk to restaurants, bars, and Katy Trail. The staff is very friendly!

Room was very worn. The cleaners had to be begged to come talk trash and give new towels etc.

Good bed. Friendly staff. WiFi is not free unless you open some account. Valet parking is 51$ per night not including tip and there is no place nearby to park for cheaper.

Our thermostat was not operating properly. The bar was freezing and the food subpar. The staff was very nice. Could have used a soap dish and more linens in the bathroom

Afternoon Bartender was great as were Manny & Jerry the valet attendance

Great little hotel. Close to restaurants and shopping. Definitely in the hub of Dallas with a more reasonable price point and still somewhat luxurious
- 2/5
Front desk was barely helpful. Had food delivered and no one called me. The front desk looks like they are asleep. The customer service in general is kind of a joke. The room service I ordered was terrible as well. Finally the hot water stopped working in my room. I don’t get the appeal and the rating of this hotel. I did not get the service that I paid for. Not coming back to this hotel.

We loved the architecture of the old hotel! Staff were very helpful. Hotel was beautiful.

The staff was mice and very accommodating. The suite was spacious and well appointed. The bathroom however is in need of renovation the grout was stained and missing. The reason I booked a suite was to have a bathtub unfortunately the drain stop was not working so no bath 😡

This is our go-to hotel when we visit our daughter in Dallas. We love the boutique hotel vibe and the great bar area. The service is consistently great from the front desk to the valet.

Very good location, huge room, clean and the friendliest most accommodating staff from bartenders to valets and front desk. Julie in particular was a stand out. Thank you

Resevation was made for a room with 2 beds. At check in no rooms with two beds were available. Very disappointing and unacceptable. Traveling with 3 people requires 3 beds. Follow up and renumeration is expected.

Very nice hotel. Had a couple of hiccups- our friends room’s AC wasn’t working but they did fix it quickly. We didn’t have any body wash in our bathroom or extra toilet paper and our hairdryer was broken - they did provide it when asked. There was a sign at checkin that said museum tickets were included in resort charge but then told that this had not yet been established. Just seems like for an expensive hotel, these should not have happened. Staff was helpful and pleasant but again, the number of things that were an inconvenience should have never been an issue in the first place.

Loved how convenient the property was and loved my room. I didn't love the crowd at the bar, but it was fine! There is a lot of construction around the hotel so walking around is a little tricky, but it was a great stay.

Very clean...friendly staff...great location

Our stay was enjoyable. We checked in on a Saturday and were excited our room was available immediately. Unfortunately, there was a pool party with a DJ right below our window so we didn't get the nap we anticipated. Service at the bar was slow. The menu was basic. Overall, this was a good experience at a clean hotel in a good location.

Clean facility and great staff.

Room was noisy due to the hotel’s AC ducting running continuously even when room’s AC not on, bathroom had a continue musty smell, unless the extractor was left on permanently adding to the noise level. The musty smell recommenced even after maintenance left a dehumidifier in the bathroom for several hours. Asked for a room change, but hotel only had one room available which had the same noise issues. Upon arrival in the room was a pair of women’s pants left in a drawer, which was mentioned to reception, but still there when we vacated the room. I am concerned for the level of room received was because we booked through Hotels.com and not directly with the hotel. During our Texas trip we have a further 6 more hotels booked through Hotel.com and hope things improve.

The room was a bigger room which was nice. But for the price, the whole property was VERY underupgraded. It seemed old. It smelt old. The lobby wasn't very big or nice. A giant cricket landed on me in the night. The thermostat did not work well at all. The shower was straight from the 1980's. I just didn't expect a property this bad with how much I paid.
- 4/5
The location was perfect for us. The room was ok for an older building. The amenities were minimal. Overall, likely will not stay again. The stars were mainly due to location.
- 2/5
Really needs a makeover. A shame that such beautiful architecture is wasted on such an unimpressive interior.
- 5/5
A nostalgic hotel, like stepping back in time. Kids loved the pool. In the heart of the city surrounded by sky scrapers. Restaurants and bars within walking distance.

Looked unique, almost vintage. The AC didn’t work upon arriving to my room, it did get fixed within an hour of bringing it to my he front desk’s attention, however. Overall, it was aggressively average, nothing stood out.

Overall facilities and restaurant were nice There was a terrible noise in my room from the heater I believe and couldn’t sleep the first night. I complained and got another room but front desk didn’t apologize

Not their problem but the hotel is surrounded by construction and the street is partially closed.
- 5/5
Valet parking and the restaurant style dining area The construction off the main road of the hotel.
