everything is like a spa experience especially the bath products. the rooms are cozy and just big enough. I like that you have to have your key card to get beyond the first floor. the price of the rooms had gone up a little bit. and the hallway where our room was located was hot like the air conditioner was broken.

The breakfast buffet is fresh and has something for anyone. There is also a pool and weight room we didn’t use but they appear to be nice. They also host a wine happy hour. Though I wasn’t able to attend it appeared to be a nice, comfortable setting.

We really did not use any of the extras. Check in was quick and easy. The room was very surprising. Very spacious, full-size refrigerator, two burner cook top, a few dishes, could have stayed there a whole week comfortably and not had to go out for every meal. I would definitely recommend this location to anyone who would like to stay in Dallas.

DO NOT BOOK WITH EXPEDIA!!!! Stayed at Element 2 nights, no hot water either night. Informed at check out and was told to contact manager. Emailed manager, told me because I booked with a "3rd party" site he could not help with rate adjustment. Contacted Expedia, they informed me that they could not reach hotel and could not help with refund unless manager approves it. Seems like everyone is pointing fingers at the other. I have booked multiple times with Expedia, this will be my last!

Great downtown location, close to parkways/tollways, fantastic breakfast, happy hour drinks and small bites, good gym equipment, room temperature controls worked great, good water pressure in the shower and full kitchen, comfortable beds and pillows. Definitely would stay again.

Convenient location, clean, comfortable bed, easy to park, breakfast included. Parking costs $20 extra, even though you aren’t in downtown and you park yourself. Breakfast was included but wasn’t that good, not many healthy choices. But there is a Starbucks just across the parking lot where you can get better coffee. Since we were on the second floor we tried taking the closest stairwell and the door at the bottom was locked! Not sure what we would have done in the event of a fire.

The bed is on the firm side but minus that, staff was very kind and their breakfast has a little bit of everything to ease picky eaters.

Very convenient to Baylor Heart hospital and the staff can call a Baylor shuttle. There are a few fast food type restaurants around the block. The breakfast was typical but in a light and bright spot. The water temperature was not hot but the eletrition tested temp then moved our room. Staff very friendly and helpful

This hotel is a great choice if you are traveling by car because it is very easy to access. The property feels new and is kept very clean. We found the staff to be incredibly nice and welcoming throughout our stay. The breakfast was quite okay and provided a decent start to the day, even if it was nothing spectacular. The location is a bit removed from the main city center, so it is not the most central option for those wanting to explore on foot. Our minor issue was the parking fee. It turned out to be higher than what was advertised on Booking.com. This was a bit frustrating discrepancy to find upon arrival.

Amazing. Used all amenities from breakfast yo pool area to rooftop evening chat to gym before checking out. Absolutely would recommend. There's even a Starbucks within walking distance!

Check-in was 45 minutes late to get a room, with a reservation!. Room was still dirty from previous tenants. There was a parking fee that we didn't know about and also a $50 fee for security when we got there that wasn't mentioned and if we didn't pay it we couldn't stay. all these things should be mentioned when you book the hotel in advance. Shower at hotel needed repairs. Had Teflon tape on the shower head and the dripping water hitting the metal drain was obnoxious and anxiety inducing.
- 3.5/5
The room was great! Clean and comfortable bed! When we arrived our room was not ready we had to wait an hour in the lobby! Then when we were told it was ready we got up stairs the cleaning ladies were still cleaning our room but the front desk told us it was ready. That was not a good start to our stay. Everything else was perfect ?

We stayed in room 718 from the dates of February 28th thru March 2nd. The first thing we had to deal with was moving the coffee machine to a place that actually had a plug. My husband and I each had a coffee the next morning. However, the coffee pods were never replaced for the next morning! This practice seems to be pretty standard in every hotel so I didn’t understand why we didn’t get replacement coffee pods every morning. The one time the housekeeper came in, she made our bed by leaving the top sheet, crumpled up and just pulling the bedspread up over the crumpled up sheet. We also had empty coffee cups and various other items of trash sitting on the counter and it stayed there the entire time we stayed at the hotel. I would think that trash would be cleaned out out of the room at every Housekeeper visit. My husband stated that one of the reasons he likes to stay at the element was the breakfast. He relayed to me that the breakfast has gone downhill. The other issue I have was being charged $20 a night for parking!!! I think that that is an exorbitant amount for parking and we will be finding other accommodations from now on. The only plus that we could think of was that the second night we were there, we were able to park our electric truck in the one spot for non-Tesla cars, and have it charged overnight. However, after that one charge, there was the same vehicle, parked there all day and night that we were there blocking access for anyone else wanting to charge.

Breakfast was fine. Some of the items that should have been warm or even hot weren't. But it wasn't a deal breaker The rooms were small compared to what we normally stay at . It was cozy though. ( please understand im not a city person so this may be more than normal in the big cities) I did not like that i had to pay for parking at a hotel that I've already paid to stay at...THIS WAS A FIRST . ALSO HAD TO WAIT ABOUT AN HOUR AFTER CHECK IN TO GET IN OUR ROOM DUE TO IT WASENT READY UPON ARRIVAL. I WAS FALLING ASLEEP IN THE LOBBY LOL.

some of the pastries that were left out were a little dry. there weren't as many extra towels. there was also extra toilet paper but it had already been opened.

I absolutely loved my stay here! Nothing to complain about. Our stay went so smoothly and great. The room was perfect, water in the shower was hot and everything worked well. Kitchen was fully equipped and the water in the sink was filtered, so that’s a great plus. Only issue we had was with the microwave and safe, but went to the front desk to report it and they immediately came to fix it. All staff is absolutely charming, welcoming and helpful. Loved our stay at Element!

Cold indoor pool where you couldn’t even swim in. I specifically searched to book an indoor pool because of unpredictable January weather. It was activity to keep my 12 year old occupied in down time. It was advertised as heated on app and even on the welcome tv inside the room. Front desk said it wasn’t heated and was not advertised as such. I went back and double checked, and indeed it was advertised as heated. The quality of the breakfast was not good, that my 12 year old didn’t care for watery scrambled eggs. Then, I was charged $20/night for parking in an unsecured lot. Do not think I will be staying here again

They accommodated my booking error. I had to bring my mother to the ER @ Baylor Scott White . I needed the room for Wednesday- Thursday but messed up and booked Thursday-Friday. Twenty minutes after booking, I realized my error. I was told that I would have to pay for both nights, due to it being a non-refundable, non-changeable reservation. The front desk manager was sympathetic and accommodated my needs. Much appreciated!!!!!!

The staff was courteous. I was disappointed that room coffee only had one pod of caffeinated (only makes one cup) and two decaf - we asked to swap for caffeinated and they said we had to wait for breakfast the following day. (??) also, parking is $20 automatically billed to your room which I knew but seriously a the lot empty, plenty of space for your guests and not attended so why am I paying for parking at all?

this is a good hotel if you are needing something next to Baylor Med hospital. It is a little expensive and they charge for parking in a normal parking lot next to the hotel. The free breakfast was excellent however. When I checked in there was no remote for the tv. The next day I asked again and they stated they would bring one while I was at the hospital. They never did. Not a huge issue but they need to pay attention to small things like that.

Breakfast was good with lots of options. Security of the parking lot was great and the security was consistently patrolling. Everyone was friendly. The elevator maybe requires a key to go up and after 11 you need a key card to enter. These are seemingly obvious things but would have been nice if it was mentioned at check in. Some of the pillows are also a bit flat. Overall we had a great stay.

From the outset, it was clear that this property lacks the refinement and attention to detail that one expects from a Westin. While the pricing remains consistent with Westin’s premium positioning, the execution feels more budget-conscious than brand-consistent. The accommodations were underwhelming—despite requesting a king-size bed, I was placed in a cramped room with two smaller beds. This not only diminished comfort but also contributed to a sense of disorganization. The in-room amenities further reinforced this disparity. The absence of basic features such as blackout curtains, combined with subpar shower products, gave the impression of cost-cutting rather than comfort. These elements, while small individually, collectively undermine the guest experience and do not reflect the quality and care associated with the Westin name. Overall, Element by Westin feels like a concept that relies heavily on brand recognition without delivering the substance behind it. The label might say Westin, but the experience does not. For the price point, guests are right to expect more in terms of comfort, quality, and attention to detail.

Our stay was great. Friendly staff, clean rooms with a beautiful view of the sky lines. Stayed here to attend a Mavericks basketball game. Would consider staying here again. There is only one thing we were not satisfied with. We were looking forward to the indoor pool. My husband and daughter went in and quickly got out. Water was freezing. We figured the pool was heated or at least warm. A hot tub or heated pool would have made the stay a 10.

Check-in person listless, didn't disclose several factors to us. Shower very attractive, but it took more than one minute to adjust water temperature; not at all good. Room temperature difficult to control. Hotel now charges $15 per day for parking. We like location, proximity to downtown, but in future we'll likely stay away.

The Element was very affordable for that area. The rooms were clean but if you took part in the breakfast, that was not. Tables were not cleaned and dirty dishes stacked in the corner. I thought looking at the map that eating establishments were in walking distance but after viewing are area felt it was unsafe to walk.

I particularly appreciated the breakfasts. Instead of cold cereal and soggy pastries, which has been pretty much the norm in recent decades, y'all provided fresh scrambled eggs, good sausages, and decent coffee. Thanks.

Overpriced. Stated had breakfast, but did not. Not even coffee or tea. Room smelled like cigarette smoke. Charged for parking even when booking site said was included for $5. So they double charged me. Shower dripped all night on metal accent piece in shower floor. But on bright side, It was close to Baylor and gym was decent.

Worst shower I've ever had; couldn't adjust water temp, was pulsing hot to cold. Breakfast very good. Maids helpful; front desk staff mixed; got locked out of room at departure time due to dead batteries controlling door lock--strange.

The hotel was very clean, the rooms were very quiet, nice hot water in the shower, the lobby and room always smelled good. Requested a late check out, and it wasn’t a problem. Safety was great!! You needed a room key to enter the hotel and use the elevator.

It was just ok. Often there was no one at the front desk so to check in or buy water from, we had to wait a while for someone to let us in so we could check in. Then the breakfast was so bad we didn’t even go back down to try it the second day. It was inedible. Will never stay there again.

reservation but was unwilling to recharge me for the room. He accompanied up to our room to open the door with a master key. As we were readying ourselves for the day and packing to leave this contested room we were contacted twice by phone and thrice by person that we needed to vacate our room ASAP. To close this odd story, we ventured to the desk and paid our bill with a credit card used in the initial reservations, with no problems. I was told by the desk clerk that management would be contacting me on Monday, to offer restitution for these unusual hotel events.

We arrived at the hotel just before 4pm, and from the outside it did not appear to be busy. We walked up to what we thought was the front door, only to have the second set of sliding doors not open, and no one inside giving any kind of direction. Assuming we weren’t at the main entrance, we ended up walking around the entire building and ending up right back where we started. This time, another person checking in was also stuck at the same door, on the phone trying to get in touch with someone, until a hotel housekeeper walked up and let us in. Just inside the door was registration, with one couple waiting and no one at the front desk. A friendly gentleman finally came from a side door and offered to check us in while assisting another front desk attendant who was trying to assist the other couple. There seemed to be some confusion and disorganization. Despite that, we finally checked in and the rest of our stay was uneventful. Other than the painfully slow elevators, the hotel was in great condition. The room/bathroom could have used a little more lighting, but no biggie. The proximity of the hotel to Baylor was the big deal for us, and we appreciated the quiet stay.

I would highly recommend this place. The hotel is beautiful, it’s clean, the beds were comfy, they provided shampoo, conditioner, and body wash, and the staff are so friendly. There’s free breakfast in the morning and in the evening, they have free happy hour. It’s in walking distance of Baylor Hospital, right next to Starbucks, McDonald’s, some sandwich shop that I don’t remember the name of. And if you drive a few blocks over, there’s so many restaurants to choose from. Fuzzys Tacos was delicious and so was Terry Black ‘s BBQ. Some other places you can try is, Up Town and Lower Greenville.

Not great in a weird part of town very sketchy they have free parking listed as an amenity and then when I showed them that they just went “no we don’t” so the staff was rude the total was $300 for one night in a very crappy hotel don’t stay here

Step above a motel 6! If you think this place is gping to be like any other Marriott property you have a surprise coming ! Dont let the pics of the lobby fool you! Plumping problems, no maintenance staff, loud noises coming from inside the walls, dirty carpet, stains on fabric furnishings , scratched up furniture, peeling paint on walls. The rooms look cheaply renovated with trash furniture. Shoddy workmanship.. literally gave me anxiety sleeping here because of the darkened rooms which are filthy and uncleaned. The carpet looks like it could use a good steam cleaning or replacement. I was itching after leaving this place... no sure what they wash the sheets with or if it has bed bugs

I did not arrive until 1am. The attendant was welcoming and gave me friendly attention. EVerything needed was in the hotel, including an amazing breakfast, gym and indoor pool. The hotel should heat the pool in the winter. I bought my swim suit, but too cold to enjoy. Very walkable neighborhood, free parking. microwave and frig in the room, comfy bed, cozy room. ALL of the staff were friendly and represented the brand well.

The room was sparsely furnished and decorated. Felt like a dorm room with dorm furniture. Platform bed (on which mattresses sit) was dirty with dust, crumbs, and hair. Eww. The shower was dirty. There was hair on the shower floor as well as a dirty footprint of a shoe. Can not recommend this hotel based on safety issues and lack of cleanliness. Would not stay here again.

We arrived late on the first night and were given the wrong room which was not in the best condition but the following day that issue was resolved and the new correct room was in good condition and clean. Gym facility was well kept and had all the necessary equipment. Pool area was clean and well kept. 2nd floor patio was decently kept and a nice spot to relax outdoors. Breakfast was ok.

My wife and I like to stay at this location for its proximity to Dos Equis Pavilion. We can travel to and from the venue easily. The hotel has a secure elevator which requires a room key for access. The rooms are updated and spacious, and the front desk staff is friendly and helpful.
