Cleanliness and cheerful staffs.

This used to be our regular stay in Da Nang while the hotel name was still Helios. Looks like the ownership had changed, and with that the quality of hotel decreased. Hotel is maintained poorly, resulting in numerous faults in room and toilet. Also, the management seems to be done at the lowest cost possible. Overall, not worth all the hassle, I rather pay a bit more to get just the normal level of service. Staff in breakfast room is nice, otherwise not so.

Close to city center and the beach The room has a lot of problems- bathroom flooded, telephone without wire which is unable to call especially you need something/ the room next to you is noisy at night and you wanted to report them. The staff is barely speak English- many things don’t understand, one day I talked to the cleaner asked her to clean my room after 10 am, she nodded but she didn’t clean my room the whole day.

Location: close to the beach, mini marts and eateries. The street Phan Liem has numerous massage parlours if that is your cup of tea. Not mine. Large double beds in twin room. Helpful and knowledgeable staff at reception. Laundry is VND 40,000 / kg and is delivered within a day. Unlike the Hue hotel we stayed at, staff at Helios does not count the items in the bag before and after washing. They just hand over the bag, i suppose, so i don't know what they would do if guests find missing items. Interestingly, they mentioned that guests who used the laundry shop across the road had no recourse when they had missing items. What action would / could Helios take, i wonder? Our floor is supposed to be non smoking but in the morning and at night, strong cigarette smoke can be smelt within my room. Breakfast is quite average, there is daily noodle soup that can't be called authentic. No yoghurt; limited fruits on offer. Kitchen staff seems very busy and at times, abrupt. There are 2 lifts to the rooms but about 10 steps from the street. Wall insulation between rooms is almost non-existent: noises from the upper floor and the hallway can be annoying. Water pressure weak. Hot water runs out after less than 10 mns. I was advised that each room has its own tank which may not be heated up in time. In which case, the tap needs to be turned off for a few.minutes before continuing showering! ? No tissue box in the room. Although it's easy enough to get one from the shop across the road, how expensive is it to provide such trivial comfort item, i wonder. The air cond only works on cool and fan . There is no heating.

Well presented, very comfortable and clean. Friendly and helpful staff. Very close to beech, cafe’s and restaurants. Very affordable. Absolutely nothing. Loved every minute of it.

Pleasant

Booked 2 rooms which were excellent but the room facing the street was noisy a few nights from music. The buffet breakfast was very good and exceeded my expectations. Everything was really good however the hot water was inconsistent and would have loved to have a bath but ran out of hot water. Would definitely book again!!

Very small room. Very small room. Breakfast seemed to be targeted at Chinese guests. Toast & omelette saved the day for me.

Beautiful corner room, high floor with views of the mountains as well as the beach. Walking distance to the beach. Grocery store across the street. Comfortable large bed, very clean washroom, daily cleaning. Would have liked 2 room keys but they only give you one. The AC needs a room key and goes off if you remove the key from the slot. It was hot in Danang and therefore we always came back to a hot room which took time to cool

Good location hotel. 5minutes to the beach 10minutes walk to a good area for souvenir shopping Hotel is VERY tired, rooms are all musty smelling Photos are years out of date and the pool area now needs a lot of work on Hotel is generally in need of some TLC ‘Upgraded’ rooms from double to twin doubles? Why you need two double beds in a room for 2 people who knows. Wasn’t really an upgrade but they didn’t let us keep what we’d booked

Exceptional

Location was decent and convenient The property was faulty. Day one the air conditioner was not working. They shifted us to another room to resolve this issue Day two, there was water coming out from the floorboards as we walked on them, making the floor hazardous and slippery. We had to take extra care with little kids to avoid them tripping. The reception lady was unreasonably firm telling us that she could shift us to another room. We can't move twice in a 3 day trip. They should check before pushing us to a room if the facility is in working order. In summary this accommodation in room 802 and then 906 was pathetic. The stern receptionist was not helping the customer instead she was blaming us for expecting the room for free.. we didn't want anything for free. The facility should do their job well or else prepare to compensate for missed expectations.

Great location, close to everything you might need. Nice staff. The room is smaller than mentioned in the description, a bit disappointed. Ok for a short stay though.
