Residence Inn Corpus Christi

The room we had did not have a TV. They moved us to a new room. AC was cold. Had biscuits and gravy for breakfast. Most hotels don’t. They made you feel welcome and glad you chose to stay with them. Residence Inn is a great place to stay.

We arrived at 5 PM, two hours after the advertised 3 PM check-in, only to be told our room still wasn't ready. After another 30-minute wait and explaining my diabetic wife wasn't feeling well after a 6-hour drive, we were finally given a handicap room. Inside, there was an ion odor machine and bungee cord stretched across the kitchen floor. The front desk admitted it was there because the dishwasher smelled like backed-up sewage and they were trying to mask the odor. The handicap shower barely drained, causing water to flood the bathroom and soak into the bedroom carpet. Because my wife has diabetic neuropathy and can't properly feel her feet, she couldn't safely get out. It took 15 minutes of arguing with the front desk before they simply brought towels so she could exit without slipping. We missed breakfast because of the ordeal. After reporting the drainage issue, I was later charged $50 for what was clearly their maintenance problem. I spent weeks trying to reach management, repeatedly being told Tiffany would call me back. She never did, and I ultimately had to dispute the charge with my credit card. The property also looks nothing like the photos online. It's poorly maintained, even the parking lot and landscaping, and the entrance is confusing because the front doors are locked. We won't be back.

Nice place

Awful. Several things broken (Cooktop, shower door, toiletry rack) and/or not cleaned (Dishwasher, shower). Hallway smelled VERY heavily of pot smoke. Laundry facilities not charging properly (manager said). Pool not usable/green. Common area trash overflowing each day and not picked up for more than a day at a time. Running wet vacs after 11pm because of overflowing plumbing issues down the hall. Junk/trash/shopping carts piling up behind the property right outside the first floor windows. This property should not carry ANY Marriott brand name, it is entirely sub-standard at any price point.

I did not have a room even with a prepaid booking. When will I receive a refund? I didn’t cancel the hotel was overbooked.

Staff was super friendly and helped with as much as they could. We got into a room with no towels stocked and floors a little scratchy looking but other wise decently clean. In room and living room. Restroom had no soaps and there was what looked like a water bubble in the ceiling that burst.

This was not a good stay. No towels for the first night, promised to have by 2nd night and did not happen. Was charged for Deposit of $200 for $50 a night that was not mentioned during check in. Do not recommend this hote.

Everything was great the first night. The second day, I requested for the room to be cleaned and it was not. Second morning found a roach in the room. Asked again for our room to be cleaned and they went in bit just did a wipe down, the floor was not swept nor mopped. Don’t think I will stay here again!!

The rooms were very nice. The halls and the lobby need some care and updating.

The space available in our suite was good. Conveniently located near shopping and food. The large fridge was a plus! However, there sheets were pilling, there was mold on the bathroom ceiling, a hole in the ceiling in the bathroom (a little alarming) the bathroom towel rack was laying on top of the toilet and the floor in the whole place didn’t seem to have been vacuumed. There was no where in the two room suite or the living are to hang anything. There were no sheets or blankets for the pull out couch, and when we went to ask for some, we were told they didn’t have a key to get them, but we could wait for some to come out of the dryer. That was fine, except it was already 11:30pm after a long day, and we had to wait even longer due to the employee not having access to something basic. I might be willing to give this place another try just because most of our issues might have been directly related to this room.

Breakfast was good. Location was alo good. They messed up the booking and charged me extra for the changed room. Dishwasher wasn't working. Bathroom exhaust wasn't working. Empty body wash bottle in the bathroom. Only one trolly for entire hotel. No response on any of the above complaints.

Property looked grumpy. Poor curb appeal, lawn not maintained. That sets the time of how the units will look. Items in the unit were broken, left behind. Carpets dirty, just overall disappointed with the quality and hospitality. Will not be going back.
