Great. We had an easy walk to the beach and had a good time. Breakfast was decent.

The bed was very comfortable. The elevator was very slow which had us using the stairs a couple times.

Everyone we interacted with was so nice and helpful! The room was perfect for what we needed.

I think it was terrible that we had to pay for parking in a hotel. Also, the pool was not usable.The day we got there.. Overall, the place was clean.The staff was nice, but the parking was a drag. Costs us twenty dollars for 2 nights

Very clean and staff friendly however, the water stopper in the tub did not stay open and the stew would not go down. I had to wedge in a plastic cup to keep it open and allow water to go down the drain. The toilet also didn’t work well and overflowed…

First know this property is across from the beach, depending on your room you might see the ocean. There is only one elevator for staff and visitors very inconvenient. The exercise room very small with too much stuff in it. Parking is $20 per day. I felt the rooms was tidy but definitely not clean.

They don’t want you to bring any alcohol into the pool area, which is weird for a hotel. The overall hotel and property is clean and maintained because there seems to be plenty of staff there and available. There’s parts of the hotel that seem a little bit aged in need repairs. For example, our bathroom floor seemed like it had water damage and was a little squishy which seemed like an issue they need to be jumping on.

Blackout curtain was not functional and when I requested they replace the non-functioning window they said they would and never did. The charger on the night stand had been removed and replaced with a piece of wood. The " breakfast" was very disappointing.. not much selection for what I paid. Broken tiles in the bathroom and shower that ran barely at a trickle.. no pressure..

The room and the pool The staff threatened to call non emergency 911 and kick us out because my service dog barked once after she was oversteamulated by children in hallway, the manager said my husband attacked someone her in the hall way, didn’t happen can you view the cameras, she completely discriminated against me for my disability! This went on from for 4 hours

Wonderful staff, especially Jesse. He helped us to get more towels and was very friendly! The room was clean and quiet. The bed was comfortable too! Will definitely stay here again!

The beds and pillows were so comfortable! The room was clean and everyone was very nice! Just wish the breakfast was a little later so we could have ate before our day.

Had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The staff was friendly and welcoming, the room was clean and comfortable, and the amenities were excellent. The location was convenient and made it easy to explore the area. Housekeeping did a great job every day, and the overall atmosphere was relaxing and enjoyable. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and pleasant experience.

Are stay here at the Holiday Inn was amazing the room was Top Notch plenty of space separate bedroom with a king size bed everything was on point, mini fridge microwave and coffee maker inside your room breakfast in the morning was amazing everything was hot and fresh staff was great pool was nice and refreshing, the hot tub was not working but that's okay Beach literally across the street, would definitely recommend anybody and we will be repeating customers thank you to Sam and Jesse and all the staff that took care of us really appreciate you guys!

Jessie, a staff member here, went out of his way to make us feel comfortable. He was very friendly and suggested a restaurant, which turned out to be awesome. He brought us some coffee pods when our room wasn't cleaned because we stayed in the room after the hotel cleaning staff went home. The other staff members greeted us when we came in and left and were helpful. Out of all the times I have stayed at a hotel, Jessie stands out as one of the friendliest and most helpful staff members.

Convenient location, pleasant staff, reasonable value for stay. Work out area was tight and lacked universal type strength training, but had ample aerobic equipment. Entry and lobby had a chemical fragrance smell, which my wife and I are sensitive to, but the room smell itself was fresh and clean.

Door lock was broken,bathroom mirror was broken, balcony door didnt close fully, no toilet paper roll holder, fridge was covered in ice, carpet was sticky, window shutter were broken preventing you from blocking out parking lot lights.

Great little hotel in North Padre/Mustang Island. The staff is incredible and attentive to it's guests. The little things go a long way in a hotel stay. They provided clean rooms, nice beds good mattress, clean linens and bathroom was in pretty nice shape too! Hot water works almost too good-I found myself turning it up all the way and seeing how long I good stand the boiling water lol the staff also did their best at controlling the sand being brought in by guests-they're a persistent bunch, both beach guests and always cleaning staff members hahaha

Everything in the hotel was in perfect condition. The only thing that we didn’t like is that at the pool, there was a bunch of grown-ups just by the bar and I couldn’t take my children to play in the pool. That’s the only thing we didn’t like.

Hotel is not well maintained. Shower curtain and door jamb were dirty. Bathtub was rusted. Pull down blinds torn. Roof area around light in the bathroom was cracked resulting in water pouring down in bathroom from upstairs room. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Did not enjoy the balcony’s view , will help a taller chairs and table for my drink the hut tub was dirty maybe because was lot of people

Great service, they do need a better breakfast line when they are very busy. The guy at the front desk told us we had an ocean view but didn’t tell us it was going to be cover by the canopy outside.

Highly disappointed in Holiday Inn Express. When we arrived we had to place a $50 security deposit ( in addition to paying off the room) They also have a $10 parking fee. The security deposit will be returned to your card within 5 days. When we got to our room the dirty windows looked out on trash containers. There was no toilet paper and (the worst) they have a festation of huge cockroaches on the 3rd floor. I mentioned it to the front desk who said “yes, we know there’s a problem but they come from the trees”. The only plus was a decent hot breakfast buffet and the ocean located across the highway.

No mention of parking fees at time of booking. Bedding and furniture was good. No receipt available at check out for parking fee.

I font think our room was reallt cleanef vacuumed but it was nice.. water cold on beach so we had to improvise ourstay. But the staff was nice

Old and decrepit

Staff welcomed us each time we entered the hotel and wished us fun on the beach when they noticed we were headed that way. The pull out bed in one of my rooms was broken and as soon as i let them know, they offered me another room. I did decline the offer cuz my 7 year old and 11 year old boys wanted to sleep on the ground and pretend to camp lol. Will be staying here again on future trips!

Clean room and decent breakfast but elevator closes whether you're ready or not, tv in our room wasn't set up so we couldn't watch anything, bathroom door didn't shut all the way and all tiles in entry and bath don't feel attached.

Cockroach in bedroom and shower wall was damaged. Room smells funky. Ocean view is partial with parking lot right in front. They changed us to another ocean view room where the bathroom was in a better condition but the hotel overall is In need of renovation. The balcony doors are not insulated well so all day and night you hear the loud wind whistling through. Immense waste of A/C and heating energy with the gaps around the balcony doors. Location is 2 minute walk over to the beach. Competitor hotel is right on beach front. Parking was supposed to be $10 USD a day but I’m seeing a $70 CAD charge which I’ll need to call about…

Construction and banging yesterday and this morning not happy

Hotel had construction going on they had there crews working Sunday morning they started working at 8:30 am I can understand a weekday but not on Sunday morning when most are staying for a relaxing weekend

Though it was a spacious room, the bathroom was not proper. Commode’s inside hidden side had pretty bad stains and looked very dirty. Bathroom tiles were loose. Bathroom doors didn’t close properly. Staff was very courteous and helpful

Room was clean. Heavy construction was being done on the room above ours. Started at 9pm and did not end until we mentioned it to the manager at 1230am and again at 1am.

Had been warned there was ongoing maintenance construction, however, room was exceptionally quiet and clean. Breakfast was OK. Beds were comfy, though a bit 'tall.' Guess that's the new style. Felt safe in parking lot at night. Staff was friendly.

The staff (every single one of them I met) are the most customer oriented staff I have ever met, and I'm 69 do I've been to lots of hotels in my life. But the hotel itself - it's getting run down, I couldn't call the front desk, had a hard time getting into the Wifi, etc. Also, they were repairing some rooms which had been water damaged, but they worked until 7:30 pm and had to be told by front desk staff to stop working - it was quite noisy! If I could give a rating based on staff, it would be a 10 out of possible 5, no joke. But the ready for the "okay" rating is due to the other things. Breakfast is good too! We will stay there again for sure

Our first night there we checked in with Jesse, and he was awesome. He was so helpful and nice. The hotel was clean and everything was stocked. It was nice that it is located right across the street feom the beach, but there wasn't a whole lot in walking distance.

The room was clean but the beds were too high for my almost immobile mother to get into without help. The exhaust fan in the bathroom didn’t work. Check-in was extremely slow. My stay was not terrible, but it could have been better.

Room 306 severely needs attention. Door facings are badly stained (looks like smeared blood on patio door). Paint on ceiling looks like a patchwork quilt. Mold in the shower. Rust on lamp fixtures. Paint on bathroom mirror. FLOOR IS UNEVEN AND SPONGY! COULD CAUSE A FALL!! Staff was very friendly. Breakfast was good.

friendly staff, room is clean, soap, lotion were provided and buffet breakfast included which really nice and time saving during traveling. We wish the shower could have more water pressure. It was very weak and took me long time to wash the soap off me. Also ir took longer to change the room tempt on the a/c. If it the tempt on the a/c could be adjustable to the guest’s personal preference, it could be perfect. Definitely I will come back again.

I was very disappointed in my couch that was in my room. I wasn't able to pull it out. I had to go and ask for towels. However the staff were pleasing and friendly when I could find one.

Breakfast had many options, varieties in Hot breakfast as well! Staff were great and accommodating! Our stay gave us a reason to look for Holiday Inn or IHG hotels in future! Happy about it!

My stay at this location was not pleasant, from the smell of the room to how dirty the room was. The corridors are dirty, the doors were smeared with who knows what. The room couch has a smell, the sheets did not feel clean, the cost is simply not worth the stay.

BREAKFAST WAS HOT AND DELICIOUS AND THE SERVICE WAS TERIFFIC. STAFF MADE IT A DELIGHTFUL EXPERIENCE.

We will return for quick fishing trips.

It was my understanding that this was on the beach but it was actually 2 blocks away. The breakfast only goes until 0930 but I was on vacation and did not want to get up that early.

Overall, the hotel is in a perfect location, and the breakfast buffet was awesome. We only had two issues, one with the constant running toilet and a roach found. Other than that, everything was clean and the staff were very helpful and friendly. We will definitely stay there again.

Our stay here was nice. The customer service provided by Jesus was awesome. He made sure we had everything we needed before we could even think to ask. Floor was wet due to the ac over working but Jesus took care of the situation & the outcome was very satisfying. If you stay here I hope you have the pleasure of meeting Jesus, he’s such a great person. Paid parking was kind of a bummer but again Jesus was our man. Very relatable, down to earth and honest guy. Location definitely an 10/10. Breakfast bar was a plus. Overall stay was great!!

The room cleanliness was average, as we noticed some dirt, and there was no bathtub anti-slip mat, which was concerning because we almost slipped.

Everyone in the staff, except for Daniel (I believe was his name) was kind and very helpful. The room was very clean but poorly maintained, there was dips in the floor, construction on the room above us. The staff made it great. I can't remember her name but she was (tall, skinny and dark-skinned, forgive my stubbornness to not remember your name lady) helpful and so was Jesse.

Room was nice. My only problem is tje lack of signage at eye level. Property signsge was way up top. Made it hard to find, for is anyway. Finally saw a small sign donating the properties parking only signs. Other than that, it was a good stay.

Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Someone was always there to answer questions, which made our experience so much better. Walking directions to the beach, finding places to eat, etc. We loved the pool as well! Cool waterfall, perfect warm temperature, and very clean.

Needs a lot of updates, the staff was wonderful but for a holiday inn I expected it to be nicer. Broken floor tiles in the room, peeled off paint, the fold out bed was in horrible condition, the phone didn’t work, the pool could have been cleaner, just everything seemed worn. The location is great but for the price it left much to be desired.

The staff was super friendly and helpful but as far as staying there it was way too expensive for what I got. The room smelled like musty mold and didn’t have enough pillows for all the beds and when I asked they said they had no more. The elevator sounded like it was going to give out at any moment. Hotel guests had to pay for parking each day they were there. The bath tub had rust in it and the room and hallways baseboards were falling off and just not kept up very well. I felt like the whole place is barely passing on inspections. Definitely won’t stay here again.

I loved that it was across the street from the beach. I thought not having faucets outside the property to rinse off before going in was inconvenient. Our room was right beside the elevator (one elevator) and we heard everyone coming up and down, each time the button was pressed each time the doors opened, really loud. The food was decent for the property but very limited and the crew was working in a very tight space, although they worked hard. We were not informed before that we had to pay for parking through an app, so we discovered quickly that would be an up charge. Also a $150 fee that I won’t see back in my account until 15 days after my check out. Idk it wasn’t somewhere I’d stay again, but at the same time the employees at the front desk and housekeepers were amazing.

The cleaning staff did a nice job of remaking our rooms (something we haven’t seen much of since Covid. And everyone from the maintenance workers to housekeeping to the front desk always seemed to have smiles on their faces. The pool and hot tub were clean and in working order- which we were very happy about - especially since our 2nd choice - the Wyndam across the street - only had about a foot and a half of water in their pool all weekend long. Cons: There was only 1 elevator in the 4 story hotel - so sometimes you had to wait quite a while. Parking was $10 per vehicle (we must’ve missed that on the website). All in all it was a very nice hotel. We would stay there again.

Our room was very disgusting! We had rust in our bathroom, drywall in the floor from falling off of the wall, and carpet that wasn't stapled down properly. One of the lamps didn't work, the TV only worked part of the time, and we found 2 cockroaches. The only good part was that we could literally walk to the beach from there.

Jesse at the front desk was great help and had great customer service. The kitchen staff was very friendly and doing their best at keeping everything full during breakfast hours. However, I was not satisfied with the shower in our room. The water had very little pressure, so the showers were not the best. The door to the balcony did not have a lock and that was a concern for me for safety for myself and my kids. The pool was closed on the second day due to "rain" that happened earlier that morning. The fire alarm went off every morning we were there. That was very annoying.

I liked that it was close to the beach. I did not lile that the whole downstairs was humid and sticky and felt unclean and that the elevators were shoddy at best.

The hotel is a little dated but over all good because it’s so close to the beach. The breakfast was good but the fitness room needs help. My daughter has to work out her knee after her surgery and the treadmills was down. As for service, the man that checked us in was amazing, Jesse. He was so kind and knowledgeable. He went out of his way to help us and give us all the information we needed since this was our first time at this beach. Made the experience so worth it!

I dont understand the high rating for this hotel. The employees were all very nice, but the room needed repairs. There were large chunks of paint peeled from the walls, mold in shower and an unsafe board sticking out from the mattress. Comfy bed

Room was small and musty, staff was Fantastic though. Had to leave early due to a family emergency and they kept my money for the night I didn’t sleep there anyway. I really liked the staff but will not be staring here again.

The breakfast menu is good, but the area is tight. The room didn't have a hair dryer. We were 4 people, but the towels were set for 3 people, bathroom tube seemed rusted around the faucet. Glad there was green tea but I was looking for black tea. It wasn't there for breakfast either. I had to ask the employee for hot water and ended up drinking coffee as a hot beverage. Overall, okay experience, but I may not choose here again.

The staff at this hotel was fantastic, but the facility itself is pretty run down. Our room was very damp and carried a strong mildew smell. Breakfast was adequate but not that great. It worked for what we needed on the trip, but I would seek alternative lodging should I return to Corpus Christi area.

Let me start by saying the staff was great. Since this is a Holiday Day Inn Express, we were expecting the room to be of the standards of Holiday Express. The room itself looked dated and the bathroom had issues such as door not closing, rust in tub and low water pressure. Location is what drew us there but not sure I will stay there again.

The staff was friendly, cordial and helpful. We were greeted by all staff we came in contact with. Really liked the breakfast. Also liked the large size of the rooms.

Ive used this hotel for the past few years. We love the location, however the hotel has gone down hill after it changed ownership. For the price the room and hotel was not worth the stay. Not only do they have a decaying hotel not they charge extra fees not mentioned on hotel.com. unfortunately i will never use this hotel again. Anyone stsying here or booking needs to be warned about the 50 dollar a night fee extra on top of whst you pay to hotel.com for booking and the fee for parking in their lot. We would have paid the same or less going to another hotel not far away.

Don't miss out on Hometown Seafood 5 mins away. Incredibly good, inexpensive and great specials and HH.

Staff were extremely helpful and the room was large with fridge and coffee maker with coffee and just steps from the beach. Highly recommend.

I loved staying here! The staff were so friendly and top notch! It’s also walking distance to the beach. My only issue was having to pay for parking.

Vine con mi familia (mi esposo y mis tres niños de 5, 3 y 1 año) vine como a las 12pm pero fui a preguntar si todo estaba bien porque en la entrada están haciendo trabajos. Entro y me recibe creo que fue la administradora no estoy segura. Y me dice que no hay luz que no pudieron llamar a ningún huésped para comunicarlo y me dijo que no podía hacer nada y que me retire porque aún a las 4 es el ingreso, hablándome de mala manera, le dije que los entendía pero había manejado 4 horas y con tres niños pequeños que también se ponga en mi lugar porque solo quería saber si a las 4 podían recibirme así no regrese la energía. En vez de contestarme me dijo que no sabía si había pagado, cuando yo le dije que tenía mi comprobante de pago, dando a entender que le estaba mintiendo y que necesitaría un ID y lo dijo varias veces como dando a entender que yo no tenía ningún documento para identificarme. (Claramente por no hablar bien el inglés no significa que no tenga un ID de Texas). Me trato muy mal, otra señora me pidió mi número de teléfono para llamarme cuando regrese la alergia eléctrica, igual nunca me llamaron. Regrese a las 4 y me quede con mi familia pero no recomiendo el hotel por el personal, la atención por parte de esa señora fue muy mal. Sentí que me falto al respeto, me sentí discriminada delante de mis niños y mi esposo, no se puso en mi lugar como cliente. Muy mal trato.

Excellent stay always great service

Loved the split suite, everything was good except the carpet needed vacuuming and the AC didn’t cool the room like it needed to. Woke up to sticky air during the night.

I received great service when I arrived! Checking in my girlfriend’s service dog was straightforward and no questions asked.

The room was filthy…feces behind the toilet…vugar stains on the ripped up couch, hair all over. When we said something they acted as if it was no big deal. We paid for 2nights, pretty pricey. When we asked for a refund to go elsewhere they would not do it! I have pictures if you would like to see. DISGUSTING!

The front desk was extra friendly and the rooms were clean. Ours had a nice view of the ocean

Didn’t alert us ahead of time to the construction or to the parking fee and when I complained, the desk clerk made fun of me and spoke to me sarcastically and in a condescending manner. Even the lady next to me complained that the parking fee was not disclosed when she booked her room.

It was easy to walk to the beach and there was a nice Tiki bar nearby to relax and unwind. Be careful getting in and out of bed if you are short because the bed was waist-high for me. It helped to have the moveable ottoman to use as a step to get into bed. I had to be careful to remember it was down there when I got out of bed, and it moved a little as I shifted my weight from the ottoman to the bed.

It was just an "ok" place. The room stank when we got there. And the bed is very high off the ground. The breakfast was typical, but still good to have in the morning. I also didn't see any bed bugs. The room was clean. The hot tub was a tad too hot. Overall a pleasant experience.

I would have liked direct access to the beach (instead of feeling as if I were trespassing on another property) -- so near and yet so far!

Helped us find good restaurants and spots to visit as it was our first time on the Island.
