We opened the door to a run down room that smelled like cigarette smoke. The window air conditioner was literally screaming at us to put it out of its misery. There was a light switch to one operable lamp and a comforter on the bed that may be from the 1990s. We checked in at 2:00 and headed to the beach. The room was hot when we returned. We decided to shower with shoes on and head back home. I just couldn’t. The price is cheap, but not worth the savings.

Location was literally around the corner from White Cap Beach. For the money it was not a bad price. Could use a few updates especially if in the bathrooms. Overall not a bad place for 1 night . Loved that it was quite & I could have my dog.

I saw several bad reviews on this place that were not fair. If you are looking for a top rate new hotel and are willing to pay for it, then this is not for you. It is a typical older motel with plenty of character. Price is right. Four restaurants that you can walk to. Check in and out was friendly.

The staff was friendly and reasonable. The bed was firm and comfortable. The primary upsides here are location and price. Booked a room with a King bed, we were put in a room with 2 queen beds. The explanation was that the AC in the King room was not working right. Given how weak the AC was in the room we got I shudder to think what they considered sub-standard. There were 4-bulb light fixtures in the bathroom and vanity area. On each one two sockets were blocked off and out of the remaining 2 only one bulb worked. So in an area that should have had 8 light bulbs there were 2 working bulbs. The light outside the room door was burned out as well. The air conditioning was not really sufficient to keep the room comfortable. Wimpy pillows even by hotel standards. No hand towels in the bathroom. The in room coffee was barely recognizable.

The front desk man was nice and helpful. The property is the cheapest price wise so you get what you pay for . It was good for 2 nights while we got to enjoy lots of our time at the beach.

My teens and I went down for Sandfest weekend and stayed at the hotel. It’s not a five star and I was not expecting luxury. It was very clean. Enough space for my teenagers and I and the owner was extremely nice. I had even left my Apple Watch on the bed and he immediately went to look and mailed it back to me the next day. I absolutely recommend if you want an inexpensive and clean room.

The bathroom had what looked like a blood stain on the wall. The beds were musty, gritty, and damp. There was dog hair inside the drawers of the furniture. The room was very clearly previously a smoking room from the smell. At first we thought we could deal with it, but the longer we spent in the room the worse the smell got and it started making me feel sick. We could only bear it for about an hour. I finally just booked another place down the road and told the front desk that we need to leave because the room was so bad. He didn’t seem surprised and said he would process a full refund but they still haven’t even started the refund according to Expedia support. Luckily I have video of the desk guy saying he will process a refund, and if it doesn’t get done soon I’ll be contacting OYO corporate to file a formal complaint about this franchisee. This place was a nightmare and was way too expensive for what it is. I would never stay here ever again and highly encourage everyone to stay away.

Nothing! •Pictures online were very deceiving. •Dirty & stained carpet •TV and Internet became nonexistent after the first night •towels were stained & dirty •bathroom/shower were dirty and toilet continuously leaked •bedcovers were torn and had a weird smell •motel style and MOST DEFINITELY NOT a HOTEL and should not be advertised as so!

However, if you're looking for a place to crash that's close to the beach, and you don't need fancy or even "nice", this is a good option. There's an italian restaurant next door, and on the other side is a Dollar General. As long as you have realistic expectations, its a good bargain property close to the beach and restaurants.

Beds were really firm and uncomfortable, my son said his back was sore when he woke up, and mine was too. This place is really dated and should not be priced anywhere near $200/night. We will not be returning to any OYO.

The room was in desperate need a cleaning. The bathroom had hair all over the floor, dead bugs smashed on the wall and the shower curtain needed bleaching. The shower head was so low that my kids heads could be above it, with the very poor water pressure. The carpet all needed to be vacuumed and there was trash left in corners. The sheets had stains. The beds were hard and the pillows tiny with no support. The AC did work, but the humidity in the room made it feel like the sheets were damp. The front desk is NOT 24 hours, and we had to leave our key in an unsecured location upon early check out. This was a last minute trip so we didn't research as much as we should have, but I would not recommend this hotel.

This place had the “back-n-day” look and feel of a beach stay. Was a little hesitant at the first look of appearance but then got a blast from the past and this place was awesome. Quiet and comfortable! Definitely would stay again!

A nice clean place to stay for a couple of days. Parking is not great but we managed. We have stayed here a couple of times and will go back again. Nice Italian restaurant practicality on the property. Management and house staff always friendly. Just a couple of minutes to the beach.

OYO is doing the best they can with an old property. The problem is - they are charging too much for what they offer. Window AC unit - fine for March; not sure how good it would be when summer hits. Everything was okay but I had an issue with the restroom. The shower curtain would not hold still in place. The light in the restroom temporarily shut off (an hour or two) then turned back on. I found that a bit annoying. Other then that everything was fine.

We picked this hotel because it was the only decently priced hotel on the island. This was a spur of the moment trip so no planning was involved. When we arrived and went in to check in there is an overwhelming odor as soon as the door opens. The front desk lady was jaw jerking and extremely RUDE. First thing out of her mouth instead of a greeting was, " How many are in the room?!". I went over the information and she had me sign the paperwork. Upon entering the room one it was EXTREMELY HOT NO AC on... but the smell of stale smoke over took us. I had reserved a non-smoking room. The room was NOT swept or wiped down from the prior use. There were pubic hairs on the toilet seat. Sand, dust and crumbs ALL OVER the floors. Our beds did not have fitted sheets. They were regular sheets tucked under the mattress and didnt even cover the foot of the bed. Thankfully I always travel with blankets and pillows... we turned the window unit on 66° but it never got under 75° the two days we were there. I had to clean the ac filter because it was BEYOND dirty!!! When we checked out noone was in the office. She was outside on the phone. After a few minutes of me waiting she opens the door and tells me to just leave the key on the counter and walks off!! For the price I was EXTREMELY disappointed!! Location was great but that is the ONLY thing going for this place!! Oh and the Italian restaurant next door is amazing!!!
