    I reserved a king bed, but they gave me double beds. They wouldn’t change this until the next morning. The curtains had a lot of mold on them. The shampoo and shower containers were completely empty. The room looked nothing like the one in the picture, as these rooms are still being renovated. It was a complete disappointment. I’ve stayed there many times in the past, but this property is not the same anymore. It’s no longer worth the price. The only positive was that the beds were very comfortable.

    We have stayed at the Emerald Hotel a couple times before and loved the staff , grounds our room (across from the pool) this time was horrendous we wanted the bay view rooms which had an amazing view of the ocean and that was the best part of the stay .... we booked for 8 days cut our stay 3 days short due to horrible room service our room was never cleaned the entire stay we had to drive the office crazy to get clean towels, toilet paper , shampoo and body wash we had to dump our own trash sweep our own room due to all the sand . I could have kept complaining to front desk but why bother they didnt care the first couple times i did so we left early... the hotel itself is is such bad shape rust everywhere pool fence was broken a whole section falls over so any child could get in the pool and drown the safty glass on the walk area above the beach pieces were missing someone could fall and really get hurt the stairs going to the beach had no rails and there where rusty nails sticking out of the stairs easily go through someones foot ... its is clear the owners and staff could careless about this hotel and its a shame so much potential for this prime property ..... even if i was given a lifetime of free room accommodation my family and i will never stay nor recommend this hotel again .

    This property was unfit to stay. Our room had standing water, strong mold smell, dilapidated walls and ceiling, and a totally worn out and falling apart chair. They offered a second room that smelled like mildew, had similarly run down walls, floors and furniture. When we asked for a return they said Expedia had to return the money. Then Expedia said since we already checked in they could only reimburse half. The hotel staff told us we had to wait until Monday to call and ask the manager for a refund of the rest of our money. We had to purchase a different hotel entirely due to the uninhabitable state of this hotel. One of my worst experiences with a hotel offered through Expedia.

    the facility was full of mold. The first room I checked into had no hvac and the mini fridge had leaked all over the floor. The second room there was sand in my bed upon check in, the shampoo conditioner soap was empty upon check in, the chair was not in good condition, dirty bandaids on the floor. The entire hotel was in very run down, dirty condition.

    Absolutely awful. Paid for balcony rooms, wouldn’t open, moved to a second room and it was even worse. We left, told we would be refunded. Immediately communicated with hotels.com though chat, as only option, and they told me it could be cancelled and that it was. Of course, it wasn’t. I expected that, I get refund policies. Don’t stay here unless you are confirmed a renovated room and, even then, I wouldn’t hold my breath. It’s a shame, great view.

    The rooms were very Hot! Asked to be moved to another room it was even hotter had to shower 5-6 times from sweating. There was mold on walls !No breakfast no parking had to park at a different location and walk! I definitely would love a refund back! Never again will I book there.

    This was a very bad experience no working ac room was nasty when asked for refund the man said would refund but Expedia would have to contact him so I contacted them and had them on speaker phone in front of him and she was trying to call front desk and could not get threw because she said they had to have had there number blocked there were multiple people in the lobby dealing with the same situation and he never once told anyone the air wasn’t work he just keep taking there money till they found out for them selves needless to say we did not stay the night there we gathered our things and went to the Omni which I gladly recommend

    This hotel is a complete disappointment. Most advertised amenities are either broken or don’t exist. There’s no functioning WiFi, no restaurant, only one bar (not two), and public parking that costs $15/day with no guaranteed spots. The indoor pool is freezing cold (~65°F), with no working pump. Maintenance manually dumps chemicals, making the water unsafe—my skin and eyes burned. Rusty rails pose a serious safety risk. The arcade, volleyball area, and pool table are all non-functional. There’s no housekeeping unless you ask, no concierge, no bellhop, no beach towels, and the beach is dirty with no staff cleanup. Despite being listed as secure, anyone can enter from the beach due to a broken door lock. The staff try their best, but management is to blame for the poor conditions and false advertising. Photos are AI-enhanced and don’t reflect reality. Expedia: Please remove this property. It’s misleading and unsafe. Guests deserve better. There’s a Holiday Inn next door that’s already a better option. Future travelers: RUN and book elsewhere.

    The Aircondition was not working in our first room.. maintenance came checked and asked front desk to have us switch rooms.. we were changed to a second room.. same thing.. the bathroom had loose tiles in the shower.. they had to fix them while we were there..the room was outdated.. it was just uncomfortable to stay there.. I travel a lot and this was my worse stay..I’ve stayed at less expensive and nicer hotels..will not stay there again..

    Worst place we’ve ever stayed at. DO NOT STAY HERE!! Very dirty and old peeling furniture. Towels smell like old cooking oil. Listened to fighting all night from the room next door.     I was not happy with the hotel. I will never stay again. The room was so worn down and had mold everywhere. We have stayed here multiple times with no issues. The customer service reps that worked the front counter were not very nice. Also, the mattress in our room was stained and looked really bad. Also, there was water dripping from the restroom ceiling.

Emerald beach has a third party PARKING SERVICE on there property and you are charge $15.00 per day to park. Roaches in the room and there elevators were broken we took the stairs to our room. Never again will we stay at Emerald beach.

    This experience was terrible from the start. The room was dirty and smelled weird. Our tv didn’t even have a power cord. We waited over an hour for one. We were never able to hook up to their Wi-Fi on any of our devices the entire trip. I’m sure the staff there has a scheme going on because the bartender did something weird with my phone when doing tap to pay. She put it in a little cubby for what I felt was way too long, I even commented to my husband about it. Then my iPad came up missing. When I reported this to the hotel they were very nonchalant about it. The beach by the hotel isn’t bad but don’t give these people your money. WORSE EXPERIENCE OF OUR SUMMER HOTEL WISE.     Toilet from room 128 was leaking we never got clean towels. We had to go to the front desk to collect them. Nobody ever came to clean the room to throw trash. The pool was very cold. We had an old chair that was ripped in our room. The front desk was very nice and helpful.

    This property is severely in need of an uplift. The room has stacked up dust on the décor, mildew on the curtains, leaking toilet, and all breeds of roaches come out at night. The best thing about this Hotel was the location. You can literally walk out of the hotel and be on the shore. But, I would not recommend this hotel to a friend or family. I couldn't wait to pack my luggage and go home. Then I had to shake everything off to make sure I didn't bring any roaches home. Killed roaches and saw 2 jumbo roaches outside by the bar. It definitely did not felt relaxed, due to the dirty conditions. We didn't even want coffee from the room coffee pot, it looked dusty and abandoned. Staff service was ok. No smiles, just short answers if you have a question. No extra towels available, restaurant closed due to renovation, so no breakfast. Ice machines were not working and cart for luggage was extremely wobbly and disgustingly stained. Rooms are overpriced for the experience, you just paying for the coinvent location. And you have to pay additional for parking.

    This was the absolute worst hotel stay ever! Dirty, moldy, stinky. This hotel was terribly ran down. Our balcony had beer bottles with cigarettes, drapes non-operable, bathroom dirty, toilet seat barely on the toilet. The hallway had the old trash and smell like a dead animal. The outside bar completely run down. I would not give any stars but in order to leave a review you have to select at least one.

    Hotel is very convenient to the beach, very friendly staff. Parking at the hotel is $35 which is a bit inconvenient when your already paying a lot for the room. Housekeeping only entered to take trash out, never left clean towels or toilet paper. Had to walk to the front desk for these items. Room ceilings and bathroom have mold which is so harmful to people. Spending $500 for weekend to have visible mold is not ok. The curtains on the sliding door are very dirty and visible mold. Beds are super small.

    First we were given the keys to someone else's occupied room. Then they gave us a room where the balcony door was rusted shut. We paid extra for a balcony. No phone in the room, had to use my cellphone and wait 30 minutes to get the front desk. Wifi wasn't available at all. All bars and restaurants in the hotel advertised as in house dining, were ALL CLOSED. the pool is shared among 3 hotels.

    First off, this is an older hotel that is in need of a renovation so go in with that in mind. With that being said, the rooms are clean and comfortable and the staff is very nice. What you can't beat about this hotel is the location. The beach access and the little bar on the beach is great! They even had a DJ out in the evenings. We will stay again.

    Jacuzzi jet power do not work. Pool men bathroom without toilet paper for 2 days. We stay 3 night On the 2 day we when out early that day and when we return there was not service at our room. They did not clean the room. They did not put clean linen or clean towels. They did not give us coffee for the next day.

    Very horrible will never ever stay in that hotel again. It was very hot. No parking whatsoever had to pay elsewhere to park because they have a three party. Parking. Other people were complaining. The restroom were very dirty. The bedsheets were dirty. It looked like the rooms were not even clean. I do not recommend this hotel for no one to stay there. They let any people in the swimming pool don’t matter who it is the swimming pool it’s only for about 100 people and had about 200 people in it.

    Our trip was an anniversary celebration and decided to go to Emerald Beach Hotel in Corpus Christi. I don’t mean no disrespect but by judging the.condition of the hotel they need a lot of upgrades and renovations. The hotel is aged. It seems that the management are barely making it to survive. I can make a list of issues but who would listen. Bottom line we love the beach view room with balcony and access to the beach. We will continue to stay at Emerald Beach Hotel as we love the location of the Hotel.

    The hotel is in desperate need of a renovation. The hallways smell of soaked beach water in the carpets. The room had peeling paint from the ceiling. Had to switch rooms due to the AC not functioning properly. 2nd room had a chair that the pleather was peeling off of it. 1 of 2 elevators broke night 1. Only positive is it was a close to the beach and a short drive to downtown nightlife and restaurants.

    Our initial room had a gaping hole above shower with dirty boot prints everywhere and drywall on floor. Requested new room…received room that air hardly worked in. Room was warm & muggy.     This property needs major renovating and better cleaning services. The smell of mildew and mold on the first floor rooms were disgusting, the toilet seats were not cleaned, went to sit and use and was repulsed by the old poop stuck on the toilet hinges on the seat!! Couldn’t find the hot water to take a shower after 30 minutes looking for the sweet spot on the faucet, ended up showering in cold water, the bed, when under the covers to go to sleep there was a wadded up used paper towel under the blanket with who knows what on it, which tells me the linens were not washed after the last guests, the rooms get soooo wet and musty from the intense condensation from the outside weather, the towels are about 30 years old or maybe even the original ones from 1966.

    Not a good stay at all. Had to pay for parking, and was charged extra $100 for “incidentals” which was not stated in hotel description and have not been reimbursed for yet. The continental breakfast was the poorest quality ever. The photos online are outdated. The hotel looks nothing like the images online. The hotel room was so hot, when told to front desk, they offered to give another room, but others staying said their rooms were so hot too. The deck was dirty and disgusting. The hot tub didn’t work only had hot water, and the pool area had a bad smell. The pool table is ripped and only one worked, none of the indoor games worked. Definitely NOT handicapped accessible. The front revolving door did not work and none of the handicap door openers worked. The indoor restaurant was not operational, nor indoor bar.

    All the amenities were broken such as indoor pool was freezing wasn’t heated like it said hot tub broken pool tables broken no WiFi had to go get my own towels and toilet paper from the lobby myself water pressure low barely any hot water

    We stay here once a year. We like the location near all the tourist attractions. We also like the amenities that include beach access and beach bar. The property is older and is in need of upgrades but our room was clean and the staff is very helpful and friendly. We especially want to thank Eddie with maintenance for helping us retrieve a phone we thought we lost in the hot tub area.

    The pool was cold and not well maintained, and the front desk rarely answered calls, so I had to go downstairs several times just to get basic help. Parking was also a major issue, with very few spots available. Overall, this hotel did not live up to the expectations set by its advertisements. I hope they take these concerns seriously and make improvements, because the location has potential.

    It is very expensive, the hotel stops a hotel 6 is old and neglected, too much you have to pay for the accommodation and still pay for the parking of my car, it is not worth that hotel, they have very nice online photos but it is a lie it is a hotel in bad condition or bad death d

    Nothing like the pictures. You walk in it stinks. Room stinks. Says they have a breakfast buffet and don't. Just bread and coffee. No hot running water. Just worst place ever

    Property was ok overall, not excellent. Pictures on website were better than property. Staff was friendly. 1st night we had no hot water, 1 of the lamps didnt work...when I tried calling front desk to inform of no hot water, phone didnt work. At pool, the pool stand didnt have any pool towels either day. But I can say the beds were comfy.

    The staff was very accommodating and we loved the view, beach access, and outdoor bar. The hotel itself is in desperate need of updates and renovations. Carpet smelled, the elevators looked a little scary to be in. Even though we had a tub we couldn’t use it because the drain didn’t plug which was super disappointing. Having an indoor pool is a nice feature but the water was cloudy so we decided against it. It met our needs but don’t think we would stay there again
