Love the location, the property is nice, and the staff was friendly. A couple of negatives though:1) Do not accept a room on the 7th floor! The noise from the Mandrake Roof Top Bar is loud--until 2:00 AM. 2) Even though the valet area has a sign that states Moxey guests and monthly rentals only, the valet was full on Sat. night with vehicles that did not belong to hotel guests. We had to look for a parking garage at midnight (in a very crowded entertainment district), and most nearby options were full. We had to park far away, walk a long distance, and pay quite a bit more than the valet parking charge. Very inconvenient and disappointing. 3) On the morning of our departure, the valet could not find our rental car keys @ 5:00 AM. They did order us an Uber and offer to return the vehicle for us (once they found the keys around noon), but this experience caused us a great deal of anxiety in trying to make our flight and trusting the valet company to return the vehicle. The valet attendant said that this has happened before. They need to prevent this situation in the future. Learn from your mistakes!

I didn’t mind the location much and there were bars around the area to go to at night. I did not appreciate the way we were treated when we checked in. I was not impressed by the check in being on the 2nd floor and only having stairs to get there. I also think they need to be more open and honest about everything they do charge you for rather than finding out about it when we are already there to check in. They charged us over $200 for “incidentals” we did not know about, also there is parking across the street but it is $25 per night and also every time you leave the garage. They also do not have housekeeping every day it is only every other day. I do think people should know all of this BEFORE spending over $1,000 for a few nights stay.

We couldn’t find parking so we never checked in. The valet that is available did not have any employees and the garage that they use for parking was blocked off. The location is terrible. We almost got hit multiple times trying to find a spot. Nothing about this hotel is clear.

Great 1 night stay, complimentary check in drink a plus

The location is great. Hotel is modern and fun. Being attached to Townhall and Mandrake is cool and convenient. Really my only issue w our stay at Moxy is the actual hotel room. It was absolutely tiny and had the worst, most inconvenient layout I've ever experienced. We had a 2 bed terrace suite and we could barely move in there. It was honestly like a very nice dorm room. The photos didn't give a fair representation. There was no common space in the room to be able to sit or watch TV together etc. Like we had to each sit on our bed and talk without being able to see each other. It was wack. Zero room to barely walk in the room and literally no room to walk next to the bed on either side. Weirdest, and least comfortable room ever. That said. Cool hotel esthetically, great service, fun events, great rooftop terrace and views. Cool bar w activities. Just the actual room was awful.

Nice , modern , fancy in the action of downtown , a great place if you want to party in the hub of short north Extra small room , uncomfortable bed , no fridge , closet , really felt like a minimalist closet , the cleaning crew were super loud @ 8am outside my door yapping , and the club on the rooftop was reverberating in my room ,

Room was clean and staff was very helpful

It was okay. The man working at the check in messed up my reservation which resulted in me having to pay extra money to stay

Clean room, staff was extra friendly, bar was awesome and bartenders were great. No mini fridges in the rooms, but staff gave buckets of ice to keep wine cold.

Fun and vibrant atmosphere. Crowded rooms but the bar is fun and parking is easy.

The property was clean and room was small but very nice. I liked the style of the rooms. The bed was comfy. They don’t tell you that there are two clubs one that has djs spinning on the roof till 2m THAT YOU CAN HEAR FROM YOUR ROOM! For all the good and nice staff was ruined by the fact I had loud music in my rooms and couldn’t sleep. Also I was on the 7th floor and it was clearly audible.

There are so many great things about this hotel; however, solely based on there being a communal bathroom for their bar area, we will not return. As a female, it feels extremely concerning that anyone can walk in the bathroom you’re in, especially in a bar. That’s really disappointing because other than that, the bar, staff, and location were amazing.

Overall nice property but beware the walls are very thin. You can almost hear every conversation through the walls of neighbors or people walking. And know the bars are open late below so that’s loud too.
