Motel 6 Columbus, OH - West

We were looking for an affordable place to lay our heads, this fit the bill.

The friendly and courteous staff. Clean rooms and very attentive housekeepers. Staying here made an unforseen situation seem like a getaway. I Thank everyone of the staff members for they're very professional accommodation. N/A

Friendly front desk You could hear the other people. As soon as we opened the door we were met with an overwhelming smell of cat pee. There was dried blood on the towel rack in the bathroom.

Very affordable room. Decent location, fairly clean. Decent onsite amenities, such as good air conditioning in the room, laundry services & coffee in lobby, vending machines. Shower was nice. There was Wi-Fi, but the cellular service is good enough that we didn't use it. Property was a little run down. The halls had an odd smell, musty and cigarettes. Room was pretty basic, but very clean, which we appreciated. No added amenities such as breakfast, no coffee in room, no bath toiletries besides basic hand soap.

We walked in the room and it stunk. Good thing i had soray to help mask the smell. Everything was clean but very outdated and the bathroom shower/bathtub was nit the cleanest. The smell and the Crack heads in the hotel across from there.

Motel was close to a bunch of restaurants and the freeway. Check in and out was painless. Room was clean enough and for the price, you get all you expect. Elevator was a little sketchy, but it worked, and the stair wells are showing their age. The mattress on our king bed was maybe a little too soft? Whatever it was, neither me or my wife could get a decent nights sleep on it. Though its possible that just a preference thing.

I was pretty skeptical and was so afraid I'd made a big mistake upon looking at the lobby. It really needs to be updated and remodeled. And even scarier when I saw the hallway. But once I got up to the room, I was pleasantly surprised. It's a bare bones room, with nothing fancy, but it was clean and a little more updated. The mattress was a little lumpy, but it was pretty comfortable regardless. It could use some USB ports to plug cell phones in and charge them. But the bathroom was clean, the beds were clean, and I would stay there again.

Gross room, sketchy area, good staff

Reserved the room got there and was told the was full.

Well lit parking area It was a filthy pig stye. Standing water in the tub drain and the drain itself was corroded and the tub was dirty. We could not even take a shower. The bathroom light fixture had what appeared to be a burn hole. This was the most disgusting travel experience I have ever had.

I stayed here for 3 nights for an annual work trip in Columbus, and I must say I was pleasantly surprised. Room was solid and clean - comfortable bed, basic amenities including a fridge. It was cleaned daily by the time I returned from work. Location is great, right next to I-70 (but not enough you notice it) and everything you'd need as far as restaurants, shopping, etc. nearby. A small touch like having the elevator accessible by hotel key only with a third-floor room was noticed on my part. I didn't feel unsafe. I can't speak for others, of course. But with a budget chain, I don't expect a luxury stay. I just want something solid for the duration yet budget-friendly. This accomplished both.
