Best Western Plus Des Moines West Inn & Suites

Loved all the new plants!

Shower was just a dribble of water and the TV would not move off the home screen.

Room appeared clean and bed was comfortable.Remote for tv did not work, but manager fixed it. Walls were thin and we could hear the tv and people in the room next to us. It was so loud we couldn’t sleep. The outdoor area is not clean or straightened up like it appears in the photos. The cushions were dirty with bird poop and stained, the furniture was askew, and the atmosphere was not relaxing…very noisy. The breakfast was disappointing.

Had to ask for new room keys twice. Also the both treadmills were not working. Otherwise the stay went well.

Stay was excellent! We will return.

No lights on in pool area,always had to ask, breakfast runs til 9 am. Out of food at 8:30. Dead plants in corridors. Doors on every floor open, when sign says Doors to remain closed for fire safety.

Clean room and hotel

the room was a great value. There is a lot of competition in Des Moines in this general area, and this one was very nice. The room was clean and odor free. Plenty of towels and the coffee actually wasn't too bad! The breakfast had a nice selection too. We would stay here again.

I was held up in Texas due to weather so I couldn't make it to Des Moines. I understood I was supposed to cancel earlier. I contacted Expedia and they indicated they couldn't cancel. I called the hotel and spoke with a gentlemen at The Best Western and he indicated if Expedia contacts him he would cancel. Expedia didn't even try to contact the hotel. Expedia was the problem not the hotel.

Overall the hotel room was nice and clean. However, the sofa fabric was dirty and we weren’t able to use it for sleeping. Aside from that it was decent. Fitness room was nicely equipped with treadmills and a stationary bike and some weight machines.
