West Inn & Suites

Re-visit if travel again.

If you’re ever going to Carlsbad, this place is a good location. A good deal has a pool good breakfast included. Everyone worked. There was very nice.

Parking was great. The pool & hot tub did not look inviting at all.

The room was a suite, an upgrade, and very nice. Clean and with a good view. Very private and quiet. Not a lot of electrical outlets in convenient places to plug in a phone if you want to read in bed and no USB outlets in the room so bring your own cables and bricks, but most people will do that anyway. Parking is free and abundant. There was a nice restaurant associated with this hotel that unfortunately closed two years ago and remains empty. The good news is that means more parking and less noise. There are several good restaurants within a mile or two.

The hot tub was out of service and the pool was not heated. A bit reason for selecting this hotel was for the use of the pool & spa, so this was disappointing. The AC in the bedroom did not work very well and the common areas in the hotel felt like there was no AC as it was very hot and stuffy.

Daria the front desk consierge was very helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly ! We enjoyed our stay!

Upon check-in, Steve and Malou were friendly, efficient and knowledgeable about the hotel and the area. The breakfast buffet was the best I’ve experienced. A full range of breakfast options were offered and they were fresh and tasty. I had not stayed at this hotel before. However, it will be my “Go To” whenever I am in the San Diego area. Love, love, loved it! Thank you.

Parking witb very easy acces, staff was friendly and helpful, room was clean, and quiet. If you are like me that at night time has to be very datk breakfast was delicious. I recommend it

Great people serve West Inn and Suites. Rooms are cleaned well, the breakfast team runs a tight ship and everyone is friendly. The hot tub does not work and should be removed from the features list. Someone stole the ping pong paddles and apparently no one is authorized to order from Amazon. The pool is not heated. The building is dated and the restaurant is closed. Time to invest in fixing the important things at this location. Turning over a driver's license to borrow the ping pong paddles is not too much to ask. The location is between the train tracks and the I-5. Easy walk to Carlsbad beach. Loved the free underground parking. Hope the West Family invests in their ammenities.

everything was great but unfortunately the jacuzzi and table tennis were broken but everything else was great and also the cookies that they have were phenomenal ! ( great breakfast ( too much pepper on potato ))

Nice clean room. nice breakfast. Had a sister hotel where they had a heated pool. Ample parking. friendly staff. Strong carpet cleaning smell in hallway. Jacuzzi out of commission (understandable, things needs service)
