The place is not what it promises in the photos. The structure is okay, but it was very dirty, which made me uncomfortable.

i saw the reviews and told to myself "it can't be that bad, i survived hostels and homestays in india, cant beat it" and booom, this hostel was really baaaad. idk but the people live there normally so they have stuff everywhere, the shower was very dirty and moldy, the bed i got had dirty sheets so i had to change the bed and it was right under the AC so cold af, there is some bar or what is it next to the hostel so they played loud music until the night... for one night and the price in this area OK, but its not a place where you want to be

Only the location First of all the room was very dirty , no room service , no cleaning , unfortunately it allows only 4 pictures to upload . The mattress pillows bed shots were dirty asf . The toilet disgusting , shower terrible , the chair in the room was full of neige ( I put there my white surfing jacket to dry ) and now I have to throw it away , because it is now covered all that shit and impossible to wash .

This is basically just a place to sleep – nothing more. My (expensive and large) power bank was stolen during my stay, and I had no way to secure it because I wasn’t even given a locker. Many times, random people (not staying in the room or even in the hostel) entered my dorm to use the bathroom. It felt completely unregulated – anyone could walk in from the street, and no one was checking. The photos on the booking site are misleading. What looks like one hostel is actually a mix of different buildings. The reception and common area are directly by the street, but the actual hostel is located about 100 meters away in a different building. When I first arrived, I tried to connect to the Wi-Fi using the name and password written on the door, but it didn’t work. I walked to the reception and the guy there was rude, saying I should’ve just asked other guests for the password to the working Wi-Fi. I found that quite disrespectful – I wasn’t told the correct network when I checked in, and it’s not my job to ask random strangers about it. Overall, I never felt safe leaving my valuables there. I had to carry everything with me all the time. There are much better hostels in Canggu – do yourself a favor and skip this one.

The place is dirty, the room is small and messy, the bed is not comfortable. Of course it is super cheap so you can’t expect much, but still too bad.

I stayed from the 16th until the 30th of December. It was a great experience, especially for the conviviality. It's very familiar and I was very well received. People are friendly and help with whatever is needed. If I return to Bali, I will definitely visit.

The room was clean and comfortable. The location couldn’t be better, making it easy to explore the best parts of Canggu. The staff went above and beyond to ensure my stay was perfect. I’ll definitely stay here again. highly recommended!

From the quick check-in to the comfortable room, everything was fantastic. The hotel is located in a prime area of Canggu, close to everything you need—beaches, restaurants, and shops. The service was top-notch. I highly recommend staying here if you're in Canggu!

The hotel is located right in the center of Canggu, making it easy to explore the area. The service was exceptional, every member of staff was friendly and helpful. I’ll definitely stay here again on my next visit to Canggu!

The bedsheets were not clean, there was not a lot of privacy, no sockets close to beds, you have to pay for the locker separately. The shower was nice, hot water but it was easily getting flooded.

Margarita surf hostel canggu i was there i got so much fun ,great staffs easy meet people ,easy check inn proses and this best hostel.in canggu .value money much ,the rate per night same one bottle large bintang beers ? but service and hostel itself so amazing . Before i book this hostel i saw negatif review but than Negatif review was 3 or 4 years ago guys you have to be smart see newest review when to book Now i saw a.lot of new things there , sofas by pool.,Co working space ,small gym Bar , resto everything is clean and very Amazing !!!i am 100000000❤❤❤ recommended for everyone want to have dream private room /dormitory place with value money . This hostel has everything I needed! The outdoor pool is fantastic, and the space is huge with an amazing atmosphere. Plus, it’s perfectly located near all the tourist spots. I’ll definitely come back for a longer stay!"

-Big spacious room. -Convenient area close to the beach. -Communal space at pool area to socialize and meet people. -The room had a mini fridge. *DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!* - AC remote not working. - No powerpoint near bed to charge electronics. - Shower area was absolutely DIRTY and DISGUSTING, full of flies and insects !!!!! - Bed was really dirty with STAINS everywhere on the pillows, sheets and blanket. Lots of flies on my bed everytime I come back, and I even saw WORMS. I don’t think they even washed the sheets. - Curtains were super dusty. - Wifi was not good in my room. - Paid $30/night as all other hotels were full but honestly with this price elsewhere in Bali I could get a better CLEANER place, also did not provide any clean water or coffee or hot water kettle which other places would have provided.

Margarita Surf Hostel Canggu is a hidden gem! The outdoor pool was my go-to spot for cooling off after a day of exploring. The hostel’s garden is beautiful, and I spent a lot of time just lounging on the terrace. They’ve got everything you need – free parking, fast WiFi, and even yoga sessions. The American cuisine at the restaurant was a nice touch, and I loved that I could rent a bike and explore the area. Definitely a five-star experience!
