They put us on a floor under construction

This property continues to be renovated. The lobby was unusable except for the check in desk and coffee pots in a corner. A bagged breakfast was provided. The renovated room was clean and adequate. They are having a hard time keeping the hotel clean during renovation. No notice was given when booking the room.

This was a great place. I would definitely stay here again. Oliver was helpful & friendly at check in. Very clean & quiet. Thank you for a 5 🌟 stay!!

The online depiction of the hotel is fraudulent. It is undergoing construction/renovation. The lobby is full of tarps and plastic sheeting. There are building supplies in the hallway and sheetrock going up. Flooring is being put in. Baseboards are torn off. There are no breakfast, business or gym facilities. The breakfast offered was a breakfast sandwich in a paper bag. The parking area is full of discarded furniture, broken lumber and trash.

The property was being renovated. That was not disclosed at all. The foyer was covered in dust from the construction. You could feel it under your shoes. The coffee pots, counter and any other surfaces were grimy. The rooms were not what I had reserved. There was no breakfast with the exception of a bag. I was there on business and our plan was to meet both mornings over breakfast before starting the day. I booked this hotel based on the Hampton reputation. I have stayed at Hampton many times in the past and this experience was not at all what I expected. We were given a refund after arguing with the front desk for about 30 minutes. The manager was not there and the sweet lady at the desk was doing her very best. I was very disappointed in the service and the property.

Well. The ac was great. Under construction. Breakfast was a bagged thing. . Not good. . Always walking through drywall dust etc. Should have been told about the construction before check in. . Parking was difficult. We paid for 2 nights left at 6pm on before 2nd night.

Nothing Workers there all hours kept exterior doors propped open, old, dirty , under construction, bathroom no shampoo or soap, phone no cord, one towel that I’m pretty sure was dirty, hair on walls in shower and bathroom, mold, ac barely worked, no breakfast just gross

Location to downtown and staff were nice but overwhelmed with the active construction going on No ice or breakfast and there’s no place near for reasonable priced breakfast. So had to go to my Dr. appointment hungry.

First of all, if you’re gonna charge regular price, then you should make sure you’re not under construction for a refresh . At the very least, let your client know hey you’re gonna get this rate but it’s because we have gutted the lobby in the breakfast area so there really isn’t a breakfast. The coffee station was horrible. There’s one cup. It wasn’t maintained. It was dirty if I had known that I would’ve gone to the Hilton app got the Embassy suites for $130 instead of the $120 I paid for a nasty, not up to my standards Hampton Inn at all . I know they are trying fix it back up, I didn’t know with open doors everywhere etc what would come around corner. Never going back to that location.

The employees were very nice and the room was a nice size. The hotel is under construction there’s dirt and dust everywhere. There was a scaffolding right outside my window and there’s been no breakfast there since May 25. That’s one of the reasons why I picked Hampton Inn because my husband likes to get up early in the morning and get breakfast. The coffee was terrible.

Location It was under renovation and from the enteance to the elevators it was a mess and dirty. We should have been notified on booking that it was under reno. We had to stay 3 days and even though we asked for towels etc on 2nd day we still had to find housekeeper and get our own. Dirty towels never picked up

    Nice people Renovation

under construction and no breakfast. that should be disclosed. sad.

The whole hotel is under construction. We were not made aware of this until check in. Couldn’t use the pool, no breakfast, keys to room didn’t work most of the time, room smelled of paint, windows were still taped off and covered, shower doors didn’t stay closed, shampoo literally just sat on the floor of shower because they had to fixture to put them on. The lobby, first floor and 2nd floor were all being worked on - workers everywhere and noises being made. I never would have stayed here if I had known they were working on it. SO disappointed. The hotel lobby employee had to let us in our room 3 times because the locks didn’t work due to “new upgrades”. Workers were very nice but that was the only plus. Should have received a credit/refund for their lack of honesty about the construction.

I always look for Hampton Inns for my overnight stays. Breakfast is always good and rooms are super clean. This location was so convenient to downtown so our event was easy to get to ! Will be back !

Property was under construction. I would have to give them a pass.

  • Engine customer Jun 2026

Why don't they tell you this ahead of time!!!!! They are renovating ALL parts of the hotel but especially down in the lobby area. And they aren't being very quick about things so the renovations will continue for a LONG time. There is noise 9-5 during the week days and dust everywhere. The room was spacious enough but extremely dated furniture & carpet. Due to the renovations there was no continental breakfast, could not find an ice machine anywhere and nothing in the lobby except 24-hour coffee station. Absolutely no amenities. We really should have changed hotels, but luckily it wasn't too noisy Friday and they didn't work on Sat or Sun. Would not go back again.

This property in Mountain Brook, AL, is being heavily renovated, which is fine. But this was not disclosed during the booking process. The breakfast area had been gutted which was visible upon check-in. The business office consisted of two tables and trash on the floor. No printer. The gym had equipment in it but none was plugged in or operational and the room was mainly used as a storage area. In t ty e morning I at least expected coffee, but the front desk said “they would work on it” but apparently they did not know a sink had been removed, making filling the large lobby coffee canisters a problem. The front desk upon check-in did not express any information about the renovations and did not offer to discount the room considering NONE of the basic amenities were available. I patronize Hampton Inn frequently for business and leisure travel. I was so disappointed that staff did not acknowledge the property changes or lack of amenities at all. Had they done so, it would have at least helped us understand the issues. Even better would be to discount the room, award extra points or help patrons move to another nearby hotel.

    Very good

This hotel is currently undergoing a remodel. The lobby area is curtained off, and visible work is being done. Our room on the 4th floor had signs of remodeling, as well- tape on the wall and dust coating everything. Our room appeared clean, but after looking further, we found mismatched wallpaper and broken tiles, tiles that didn't meet the carpet, the area behind the toilet was filthy, etc. Amenities in the bathroom included face soap, lotion, shower gel, and conditioner. The third container in the shower was LOTION. No shampoo. The shower and sink hot water was abnormally hot. Sure, we need a hot shower, but not scalding. Outside our window, we could see two dumpsters overflowing with broken furniture and obvious garbage from the remodel. I could not recommend this hotel at this time.
